Thank you so much to Jason for an amazing trip earlier this year (Feb 2020). We were so lucky to get the chance to visit the Mekong Delta with him and his expert tour guide experience. It really should be labelled as a ' food tour' because we had so many delicious meals as a part of it - from Auntie Superstar's gigantic lunch (thank you, Uncle for the booze too!) to all the delights on the early morning market boat trip, it's amazing value for everything you get and Jason works really hard to make it enjoyable. Jason was really good fun and we felt, had the perfect balance for being involved and then also letting us have some 'down time' - it's hard work to entertain a group for hours on end and they are two big days of travel/activities during the Mekong Delta trip. If you want to spend some time along the Mekong, Jason is the tour guide you need and we hope he continues to get lots more business once Covid travel restrictions are able to be eased. Thank you again, Jason - a really amazing experience.

I spent 3 days with Jason Super Star Service as he guided myself and others around southern Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City. We visited his family “Superstars” for lunch which was delicious Vietnamese cuisine. They were very inviting and there was a good variety of food to enjoy. Later this day Jason took us to canoe and ride boats on the Mekong River. He took us down the river which was quite peaceful and relaxing. He also provided us with fresh fruit, some of which I had never tasted before like durian. He then took us to a Buddhist temple which was amazing to see as he told us about Buddhism’s role in Vietnam. Jason also took us to visit the Cu Chi tunnels which was a great experience learning about the Vietnam War. On the way there Jason talked about the Vietnam war and taught us about the Vietnamese perspective about the war along with more information we should know before going to the Cu Chi tunnels. While riding with Jason, he taught us about the history of Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam. He taught us about the Vietnamese culture and about how many Vietnamese live their day to day lives. He is very entertaining on the rides to the different places you will visit which made every ride exciting. Jason was very adaptable to the inconsistent traffic of Ho Chi Minh City so that when traffic caused delays, he was able to change the schedule so we could still enjoy the activities that were planned. Jason also helped answer many of our questions, such as where to find the best pho in Ho Chi Minh City. I would highly recommend Jason to others because he made my stay in Vietnam awesome.

Jason could not have been more helpful! His high energy throughout my four days there was what made the trip for me. He is hilarious! I instantly felt like we were friends. He gave excellent recommendations and was an expert translator throughout our time together. One of the highlights of my visit to Vietnam was when Jason brought us down to the Mekong river delta for a day trip. There, we were graciously hosted for lunch by his family (pictured below), and then we were taken on a wonderful boat ride culminating in a view of the sunset over the river. Another great day trip was driving up to the Cu Chi tunnels. Jason was very knowledgeable and provided a great background on the history of the tunnels. An added (and essential) service provided by Jason is Jason SSS GPS. He is an expert on maneuvering traffic throughout Ho Chi Minh. He saved us from hours of sitting in traffic, and that is saying a lot if you have ever been to Ho Chi Minh! We had a super packed, busy schedule crammed into four days and he was more than accommodating. One helpful tip would definitely be to ask him to sing! He will be happy to treat you to a lovely serenade. Would not go back to Ho Chi Minh without contacting him first.

If you are in search of a tour guide in or around Ho Chi Minh, look no further! Jason SSS made my trip to Vietnam an incredible experience. Jason is a very sweet guy who has an infectious personality! He is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Vietnam. Jason organized several things like a trip to the American War museum. On our bus ride there, Jason provided videos for us to watch as background information before going into the museum. He also organized a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels. On the bus rides, Jason would interact with us and get to know us on a personal level. If you are lucky, he will even sing for you! Jason took us through the floating river markets and got us a variety of fruits to try. He even welcomed us into his home. His family prepared a huge authentic Vietnamese feast for us. One of my favorite parts about Jason is his photography and videography. No matter what, he never misses a minute of filming. These videos are available for his guests to look back on for a lifetime! When it was time for me to leave Vietnam, I was most sad to leave behind Jason’s infectious personality. Jason made my Vietnam experience one I will never forget.

Jason SSS was an enthusiastic tour guide that made my overall experience in Vietnam one I will never forget. To start off the trip, Jason greeted us with a big welcome sign and his signature purple attire. Jason never lacked energy and was always willing to sing to provide much-needed entertainment on our long bus trips. During our time with Jason SSS, we had the opportunity to meet his family and share a meal with them. This authentic Vietnamese experience is one that I will never forget. An important part of my trip to Vietnam was learning about its historical past. We were able to visit the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh city and learn about the war from a new non-American perspective. It was interesting to hear the war from Jason's perspective. He provided a wealth of knowledge to our tour group. After learning about the war itself Jason took us to the Cu Chi tunnels to experience what life was like fighting in the tunnels. I found it fascinating to learn about the tactics used by the Vietnamese that made them so successful in the war. Another aspect of Vietnamese life we got to learn about was the amazing Vietnamese cuisine. We were able to learn how to make four Vietnamese dishes from a skilled cooking instructor at the GRAIN cooking school. Jason provided a wealth of knowledge everywhere we went and made me feel much more comfortable in the fast-paced city of Ho Chi Minh. I would definitely recommend Jason to anyone planning a trip to Ho Chi Minh city. Jason planned so many amazing activities for my tour group during our stay. Jason was also extremely helpful when it came to documenting our trip on his Facebook page so we had photos to look back on our amazing memories. He will make you feel like you are family and help you make the most of your time in Ho Chi Minh.
