We used Drive Vietnam for private airport transfer to and from our hotel and we also used the company for a private half day tour customized for some Vietnam War sites I specifically wanted to see.
Starting with the airport pickup, Drive Vietnam sent a detailed email explaining precisely where the guide would be and what they would be wearing. We then walked to the road area where a late mode SUV was waiting with AC running and water bottles available for us right away. We found the airport transportation worth every penny after a long international flight. The guide was friendly and spoke excellent English. The driver was safe and careful in a very chaotic city.

The custom private tour was amazing. We were met at our hotel and again had the use of a late model SUV with a driver. Our guide took us to the War Remnants Museum, the Presidential Palace, as well as other landmarks and shopping in District !. We ended with a delicous meal at a local restaurant.

Saigon was our first stop on a two week Asia trip and I cannot recommend Drive Vietnam highly enough. The traffic and hundreds of motorbikes make it a challenge to walk the city, especially on your first or second day. The company was professional, provided great communication, and helped us feel so comfortable on our tour.

We would absolutely call them again!

I had the pleasure of meeting Quang and his driver for two wonderful days in Ho Chi Min City. We took a long trip to the Mekong River and enjoyed the authentic Vietnamese culture and food. The next day was a trip around the capital city and Quang was so knowledgeable about the history of the Vietnam war that I learned many new things. Our tour to the presidential palace turned out to be far more interesting than I had expected! Best of all, Quang’s command of the English language is excellent and I was able to understand and enjoy the entire tour. The last evening, he referred me to a great place for a hamburger called El Gaucho. After 3 wonderful weeks traveling throughout Vietnam, I was ready for one—and it was delicious. I highly recommend Drive Vietnam with their very skilled drivers and Quang as a tour guide.

Drive Vietnam did an excellent job for us. Very easy to communicate with to make an itinerary and very quick to answer any questions. We spent two weeks in Vietnam with them and everything from transfers to day tours and booking hotels was done for us with nothing to worry about. Highly recommend booking a trip with drive Vietnam.

We booked Drive Vietnam to pick us up from the airport as we read much about taxi scams online. We were greeted by the friendly guide when we arrived and upon knowing that it is our first time in Vietnam, she even wrote us a list of recommended restaurant & places to visit.

On Day 2, we booked the trip to Cu Chi Tunnel. It was a really enriching & fun experience as our guide walked us through the history of Saigon. Our guide, Mr Ha, was able to explain every detail to us professionally & patiently. Highly recommended if you wish to take a break from civilisation.

We book a Day Tour on Day 3. We were given the option to a rickshaw ride during rush hour, which is highly recommended by the guide as it is the best way to experience the traffic in Saigon. Definitely a must try if you wish to capture the best videos/photos that reflects the busy roads in Saigon! The other parts of the tour to the museum, post office etc was pretty interesting as well.

All in all, we highly recommend Drive Vietnam for anyone who would like to experience Saigon in a local but yet, safe manner, with their truly devoted and professional guides & drivers! :)

We had a great private tour to the Cu Chi tunnels. Drive Vietnam is the only company that offer full day trips to the Ben Duoc tunnels. There are loads of companies that offer half day trips to the Ben Dinh tunnels but the Ben Duoc tunnels offer a more authentic experience which was great. The booking was very smooth and you can pay in advance if preferred.

We got picked up promptly and had a new Honda CRV to take us. Khoi is the founder/owner and he took us on our tour. His English is fantastic and he is a fountain of knowledge about his country. We had unlimited bottles of water, hand wipes and at the end we were given a goody bag with discount vouchers for HCMC, Hoi An and Hanoi which was really nice. The vouchers included spa deals, tailors, the XO scooter tours (also excellent) and more! Khoi also wrote down the addresses for the best pho and savoury pancakes/crepes in HCMC. We went to both and he was right, amazing street food.

The tour was really good. We stopped to look at water buffalo, vegetable fields and rice paddies on the way and then looked round the site which showed how villagers lived before the war. We then went for lunch at a floating restaurant on the Mekong Delta and had amazing food all chosen by Khoi who had checked what we liked and for any allergies and ordered ahead. Lots of variety and quantity!

The tunnels are in the jungle and it's not busy so you can really immerse yourself and take it all in. You see examples of the traps and can see bomb craters. They have an area with damaged military vehicles and craters which is sobering. The tunnels are very small and authentic. My enthusiastic boyfriend who is 6 ft 3" and pretty broad squeezed himself through them and got covered in the red soil which gives you an indication of the tunnel size. It's a great experience and gives a much better understanding of how the war was fought in this area.

Drive Vietnam was a fantastic choice for us. We saw one other couple whilst we were there and some Vietnamese visiting the site which is exactly what we wanted. It wasn't touristy or busy and the restaurant was lovely, very peaceful, watching the water lillies float by with water buffalo grazing in the distance.

Khoi believes in delivering above customer expectation and he did. The tour was at the higher end, cost wise but it delivers something different as it's a full day and a private tour to the lesser known tunnel site which isn't widely available. This means we weren't rushed and had a unique experience. Everything is included in the tour, entrance fees, lunch etc... As were wer walking round, Khoi purchased beers and soft drinks for us as well as beer etc with lunch. Drive Vietnam offers great value for money in terms of the tour quality and the little extra Khoi offers. I would definately recommend them.

As my husband and daughter were with me on this trip to Vietnam, I needed to be more 'organized' in terms of sightseeing. Ordinarily, when I travel solo, I just wing it! This time around, I did a lot of research to find tours that I thought would work for my family. After looking at several, Drive Vietnam won out and am I glad that I took the plunge and booked three tours with them. Thang was our guide for all three tours and was an excellent ambassador for Drive Vietnam. He was very knowledgable, spoke perfect English and was very thoughtful and considerate of our needs on each tour. He was very well prepared - bottles of water, hand sanitizer, wet wipes were always available and he encouraged us to drink and clean our hands after every activity.

Cu chi Tunnels - this was a full day tour and we were glad that the weather was quite temperate, not too hot or humid, as it is an intense, active day. Drive Vietnam goes to the less touristy Ben Duoc tunnels, which is about 20km further to drive. All of our vehicles were minibus type vehicles and were clean and comfortable, so the extra 20km was not an issue. The tunnel area was fascinating and gave great insight into the atrocities of the Vietnam War. Thang was very informative and knowledgeable and we learned a lot that we did not know. After the visit to the tunnels, we went to a local restaurant by the river for a delicious lunch before the drive back to Saigon. On the way back, we asked Thang if we could do a detour to the Lacquerware Factory run by the Govt. to provide employment for handicapped Vietnamese people (whose handicaps were believed to have been caused by Agent Orange). We saw how the lacquerware pieces were made and it is fascinating to see how many stages it goes through. A very labor intensive process. We purchased a couple of pieces, and while they were more expensive than those found in local souvenir stores, we were happy knowing that the $$ went directly to helping the handicapped rather than to a 'fat cat' business owner!

Mekong Delta tour: a long day, with an early pick up. First stop was a visit to a Banh Mi stall for delicious Banh Mi sandwiches. Next, we stopped for Vietnamese Coffee, which was also delicious! A stop at a local market was fascinating as we were the only Westerners there, and it was a 'real' local market rather than a 'tourist' market. This is what sets Drive Vietnam apart. Rather than taking us to the local tourist spots, Thang took us to see the real Vietnam. As with the other tours, he was very considerate and thoughtful all day, offering us water, snacks, fruit, etc. along with the always present wet wipes and hand sanitizer! He also brought us a Vietnamese conical hat to wear, which was great fun and useful to help cope with the hot sun! After the market, we stopped at a local family run incense factory and a broom factory, both of which were really interesting to see and would also give the inspectors from OHSA heart palpitations! Before lunch, we were taken on a 30 minute motorbike ride of the local countryside, passing by Dragonfruit farms and rice paddies, where we stopped to take photos. The motorbike drivers spoke no English, but were friendly and courteous. Lunch was at a small family owned restaurant and once again was delicious! After lunch, we took a couple of ferry rides to get to a small boat where we sailed down the narrow canals of the Mekong, finally ending back at our minibus for the ride home. It was a long, action packed day where we really did see the real Mekong delta, not some touristy depiction. We did not follow the typical tourist trail of coconut, factory, snake farm, etc. What I really liked about this tour was that it was very flexible, Thang was excellent in imparting his knowledge and considerate of our needs.

Saigon tour - this was the first tour we did, and where we were introduced to Thang. It was immediately obvious that we were going to enjoy our day as he was so friendly and thoughtful. First stop was at the Bird Park for traditional Vietnamese Iced Coffee and a chance to watch the hundreds of birds brought by their owners to enjoy the fresh air - a kind of "play date" for birds! A walk around the beautiful park introduced us to the beauty of the greenery in Saigon. We were also taken to the gorgeous flower market, the silk market, ChinaTown area and ate lunch at a great street stall. The food in Vietnam is really good. After lunch, a visit to the Unification Palace and the War Remnants Museum gave us an insight into the Vietnam War and we finished the day with a Cyclo ride back to the hotel, which was hair-raising and thrilling at the same time, as we navigated the chaos that is Saigon's traffic! Somehow, the motorbikes, cars, cyclos and pedestrians all seem to exist in harmony and it is a finely choreographed dance that takes place every day!

Without a doubt, I am glad I chose Drive Vietnam for our introduction to the Vietnamese way of life. Thang, as a tour guide, could not have been better and should we return I will definitely use Drive Vietnam again. If I could give a rating of 10 stars, I would!

Great tour and tour guide. Viet was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and his English was spot on. Our 11 year old fired question after question and he was very attentive. Our driver was very relaxed and got us from a to b without any issues. Lunch was very nice. We have been to both cu chi tunnel sites and prefer this one.

I did both airport transfers with this Company.

Communication was very easy.

Although the car was a few minutes late, the traffic on both days was terrible, so I think this was understandable.

My guide was quick to introduce herself and provided a lovely personal touch to my trips.

The cars were very clean and in good condition and my driver was excellent.

I will definitely use this service when I return to Saigon.

We did quite alot of reading about which tours and tour companies to go with for our trip to the Cu Chi tunnels.

We decided on a more private and original tour and so we went with Drive Vietnam's tour to the Ben Douc Tunnels.

Here are some reasons why we thoroughly enjoyed our trip:
1. The agent met us in our hotel the day before and answered all our questions
2. They were always on time
3. Our guide Phung (not sure about spelling) was great, knowledgeable and answered all our questions about Vietnamese history and culture. She was not intrusive and spoke English really well.
4. They offer tours to Ben Douc. These tunnels are better than the Ben Dinh tunnels as they are more original, actually give u the experience of walking to real dug out bunkers (not just he tunnels). They are further but less touristy and hence less crowded. Made the experience so much more pleasant.
5. We had the option of a SUV vs mini van. We chose the SUV for comfort as it is a long car ride to the tunnels.
6. Lunch provided was at the riverside restaurant which was cool and clean. Food was actually lovely and more than we could eat.

The tour is more expensive but well worth it. We had no regrets.

We arrived back at the hotel at 4pm as promised.

Highly recommended!

Each aspect of our trip was wonderfully planned and has obviously been cared for by Drive Vietnam. The driver was good, the pickup/drop off process was seamless and the interaction before the day was worry-free. Our visit to the Cu Chi tunnels was led by Thang, who had obviously researched the time and history of the place able to converse about all aspects of Vietnamese culture as well as specific aspects of that period. All my children (ages 15, 12, and 6) all said that this was the highlight of their trip to go through the tunnels themselves. Certainly, without Thang's guidance we would never have done that. We even received an email later with a montage of our photos from the day. Thanks so much for the great day.
