Before you are entangled in the web of bargaining on the ground floor make sure you visit the shopping centre I think on the 2nd floor. It's the Australian equivalent of Coles, Coles Liquor & Big W rolled into one. Stock up on water, snacks, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, make-up and souvenirs without the phenomenal mark up of the International Hotels or the "up the price for the tourist market." The prices are labelled in Dong. No bartering here. What you see is what you get & the prices are more than reasonable. The staff are polite, the shop is well planned & air conditioning for an escape from the heat. Credit Card facilities accepted & you will more than likely find things that you have paid much more for elsewhere. Lot's of interesting things to explore. There is a lift within the store. Once you have an idea or prices go have a rest before heading to the ground floor. You will need your energy & patience. Make sure you have smaller notes to barter with. Be polite but firm. Wander the mall & look at what you want first as the prices will vary from each stall. Then go for it. Make sure you both get a fair deal though. I always try to imagine how much I would expect to pay for an item at home & take it from there. Enjoy!

This market is indoors, air conditioned and not as congested as the others. It is small enough to cover the whole market in a few days and while there are many stalls selling the same thing it’s not as overwhelming as the other markets (Saigon Square and Ben Thành are crowded, hot and the hawkers are rude and cunning). They inflate their prices based on the brand they are copying. I can’t see the logic in paying $300 for a fake product who’s quality is questionable. The supermarket upstairs at Lucky Plaza was my favorite. I found great souvenirs here and it was a delight not to have to bargain like you do at the market. Don’t waste your time going to Ben Thành or Saigon Square. It will just frustrate you and the should you encounter an uncouth shop attendant like I did,it’ll put you in a bad mood.

I was preparing for a business trip and wife brought me to this place. At the 2nd level you will find many branded suits at so so good price. I got myself 4 sets. Cost only 50-60usd. Tailors near Ben thanh market are rip off..even for a local.

Lucky is small but offers a one-stop for many local stuff. The supermarket is the main attraction which offers food, souvenirs and clothes at good prices. The best thing is you do not have to haggle as the price is fixed and you can shop without any disturbance. The Vietnamese costumes are very nice there too and the staff there were helpful. There are 2 other levels of local stalls selling mainly souvenir stuff which are similar to those you find in other markets like Ben Thanh and Saigon Sq. However, the good thing is the place is much smaller, with bigger alleys and aircon, so it's comfortable to walk around. Recommend to come here for a one-stop shopping experience for tourist!

I'm a local citizen. Have been here for few time. Inside this plaza, you will never find any authentic stuff. There is just fake goods from some popular brands. In the other hands, cheap price and also cheap service. Should bargain for good price. This not the place you expected for luxury things.
The worse is security force. They have no respect with customers.

Good place with supermarket on 3rd floor. 2nd floor vendors seem more relaxed and happy to negotiate, very reasonable prices. Can buy foodstuffs to bring home as souvenirs at the supermarket on the 3rd floor.

Lucky Plaza is situated just about 150 yards away from the Saigon Opera House. It is on two levels, with the lower level being for jewellery, watches etc. The 2nd floor is t shirts, textiles and all things haberdashery. Vietnam is known for having "genuine reproductions" but, be careful if you are thinking of buying a copy of a ROLEX or OMEGA watch....they drive a very hard bargain,DO NOT pay what they say !!!!!.....HALF IT and negotiate slightly upwards.......If you don't, they will gladly take you for a fool...My ploy is to say half of what they want and then walk ...........If they really want your business believe me, they will come after you....STICK TO YOUR GUNS. They'll cry, try to shame you and use every trick in the book.......they are PROS.........but thy are also CONS......BEWARE.........If you want a cheap souvenir this is the place as long as you do the above, to the letter.

This place is fun and is one of the best places to shop. I like to go during the day because it is not so busy at night it will be packed. Don’t go to early 11 or 12 because they are open late at night not all shops/ stalls open at the 10 am time. You can get good prices on names you will recognize but you MUST BARGIN
Things can be purchased at half or 2/3 the starting price. Not all but many

Visited this mall recently. Most of the things sold here can also be found at the Ben Tahn Marker however this place is air conditioned so makes shopping easier.

Promoted as 3 floors with a variety of shopping we were a little disappointed - it wasn't like the plazas you find in KL or Singapore for example. It wasn't very busy and the items were priced mid to higher end. That said I did buy a couple of business shirts and a North Face jacket. Expected more unfortunately, and I would assume there are far better plaza type locations in the city.
