The Chi Chu tunnels and the Mekong river trip to Unicorn island was an awesome experience. Japan our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the tunnels of the Chu chi tunnels. The Mekong river trip was also fun and we felt looked after throughout and the river boat ride was so much fun. Tasting the local honey and coconut was amazing and we even got to meet some Bees.
Japan answered any questions we had and was thorough with his replies. He made it fun and interesting throughout.
I would definitely recommend this tour for a day out of Ho Chi Minh City as it was reasonably priced, fun and had great variety throughout.

Recommend the Mekong delta cruise day trip, although I recommend you do separately to the Cu chi tunnels day trip as will be to long with the traffic IMO.
Got picked up and dropped off door to door and our guild Chris Tong was brilliant enthusiastic and gave us lots of information and answered any questions we asked about the trip and experience of places we was going over Vietnam going forwarded with a lot of knowledge as well.
The duration is just about right and lunch that was served was unbelievably good!
Recommend this to anyone in Ho Chi Minh city and if your lucky to get Chris Tong as a guild you’ll have a great day!

I booked the trip through expedia and it was a small group tour of 4 to both Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong Delta.
My tour guide Chris speaks good English and demonstrates a good degree of knowledge when we asked him questions about whatever we see on the way. He is also patient when we took slightly longer than expected at activities; and flexible when we needed to add a toilet break stop or change our drop off location. I appreciate that he makes it clear that tipping to the other locals is optional instead of an obligation, enabling us to tip according to our means.

My tour was changed the day at 0640 for a 0730 pick up, despite confirming the day before. The options were to do just mekong delta and get a partial refund or to pay extra to add cu chi tunnels combined tour.
We chose the cu chi tunnel and Mekong delta to swap too which cost us extra 350k but was given at 200k each after discussion, rather than our original tour which included much more including floating markets and a cooking class.
The new tour was 6 hours of driving and not much time doing the tour activities, we rushied through cu chi tunnels, advised we had to tip the local for activities we payed to do in the tour (local singers, boat operators etc).
The tour guide was OK he took pics for us and sang some songs but that was the only highlight. We followed other guides on the day from different tour companies who explained more on the cu chi tunnels which was great.
Lastly, I posted my review to only get messages by 4 different people from this company on whatsapp to ask why i posted negative feedback and to remove my review (manager, customer service, booking operator and guide). They offered a refund which I declined as that's not why I'm writing this review. I had to block them and ask the manager to ask his staff to stop messaging as they got nasty. I have upgraded my star rating to 2 due to the tour guide singing for us on the way to the first stop, he was fun.
If you want to do these tours, I suggest you do them separately on different days to get most out of your trip, it is also cheaper to do it separately. The combined package is not worth the time or money.

I subscribed for the tour "monkey island". We got picked up on time at our hotel and visited a crocodile farm and a bat sanctuary but unfortunately didn't get to see monkeys and were pretty dissapointed since that was the main reason we booked this tour. In the Begining we made some stops that were not in the descpription like at a laquer painting shop or a stop at the cho ben thanh to "try" coffee. The places were interesting but the salesperson a little bit too pushy. It is understandable tho because they want to push the economy and their sales since earning money is quiet hard out here in HCMC. However the places that we visited in the nature have been amazing and our local guide Christopher was really helpful and had a lot of knowledge about the city and was really trying to engage conversations. I would give 5 Star for effort. If you have high expectations and think that this is a tour where you receive everything you want served on a silver platter then this is nothing for you, but if you are open to spontanious trips and dont care if the schedule is held right, then that's something for you.

This tour was wonderful - we had the chance to sail along the Mekong river with traditional boats and taste local food and fruits presented in a very exceptional scenery. Our tour guide Phong had a very good competence in English, sang traditional vietnamese songs for us and took several photos for everyone in the group.He really gave his maximum to make everyone feel comfortable. Really a very nice experience, especially if you don’t have enough time to do a 2 or 3 days trip to the Mekong river !

We had a really nice trip from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Gio. Chris was a great guide who really wants to engage with the people he takes care of.
Can Gio is a good possibility to see mangroves if you do not have time for a 3 day trip to the Delta.
After 1h30 in a modern private car we arrived at the nature reserve. First we went to feed crocodiles and then we went on to the Boat trip. The boat ride was 30min on a rowing boat and a short transfer there and back by motorboat. You also have the possiblity to go into the mangroves on an small path and there's a nice viewing platform to see the whole area. To finish of the experience we had a large lunch with different local specialities (very tasty!) before the ride back to the city.

This vacation trip was for my family of 16 to include all ages from 78 to 2 years old! I worked with Ms Alice Lam on ground transportations, air transportations and various tours from around the country. Alice was an exceptional planner, very knowledgeable in her business, attentive, and considerate of my family needs. After the initial planning and booking, she follow my family’s journey by checking up on us at least twice a day to ensure everything is going well. She is quick to fix whatever issue that arose making our trip less stressful and enjoyable. Ofcourse the recommended tours were all wonderful experiences but getting there with the help of Alice made things more enjoyable! I definitely recommend Alice to any friends a family who need the same service and will seek her out again next time I go back to VN!😊. Many Thanks Alice and till we meet again!

Vietnam Travel Group provides a great reliable service and are always quick to respond to any concerns and issues. They will ensure that you have everything you need for a smooth trip. They also offer help with visas and helped to get a visa approved at the last minute. Alice was incredible, she was very professional and made our experience a lot less stressful big thank you to her. Whether it’s visa problems, booking day tours or multiple day tours, I cannot recommend Vietnam Travel Group enough, especially if you are unsure what to do with your time in Vietnam. they will build a tour suited to your personal needs and budget 10/10!!

We spent four days in the south with our guide Peter Tran who managed to give us a wide ranging experience of the area (Ho Chi Minh city and Mekong Delta). We are an inquisitive group and apart from seeing sights we like meeting people. Peter managed to satisfy both of these requirements as well as allowing us to appreciate the impact made by the Vietnam conflict (we grew up with it) as a whole. He is representative of the younger Vietnamese entrepreneur, a group we like very much, they stand Vietnam in good stead.

Hi, I would like to book the three Day Mekong Tour starting monday morning.
I have an overnight train from HCMC on wednesday at 7 pm. Will I be back soon enough and might a dropoff at the Trainer Station be possible?
I am currently staying at the 9hostel&Bar, 9 Bui Thi Xuan P. Ben Thanh Quan 1, which is not on the list. Where would I need to go for pickup on monday?

You may google it with 'Vietnam visa on arrival'. There are many agencies and their prices vary. So you need to compare their services.

Visa Question. Our ship brings us in to Nah Trang Tuesday AM. We go back to the ship Tuesday evening and sail to Phu My. We go back into the country Wednesday AM and depart Wednesday PM. Have we made a single entry into Viet Nam or is this Multiple entries. No speculation please. Only want to know if you have actual experience or legal knowledge. The eVisa sellers don't seem to have a clue.

Hi When would be the best time in the year to visit Vietnam. Minimum how many days would require to visited most popular place and which city in Vietnam should we start with and end my tour in. Possible to list down the most interesting place of visit in Vietnam. As both of us are retires in our seventies advise whether we should we arrange a personal tour or be on our own. In Vietnam, it is not easy to define what will be the best time to visit because broadly speaking, the weather in Vietnam is dictated by two seasons -- the southwest monsoon from April to September and the northeast monsoon from October to late March or early April.
People often equate monsoons with rain, but that is only partly the case in Vietnam, as a number of regional variations affect the rain. What is worth remembering though is the southwest monsoon is warm and wet and the northeast monsoon cool and not so wet.
Generally speaking, destinations in the north such as Hanoi and Sapa are great in October, November and December, as you'll see little rain and should have clear skies and temperate conditions.
The coastal stretch from Hue down to Nha Trang is great in the first half of the year, from January through to July, while Saigon and the Mekong Delta are best from November through to February or March.
For how many days that fit for travel across Vietnam whilst covering most major landmarks, I could say that you should give yourself with the minimum of 14 days for holiday (that is given in term that you are able to take flight). Since you are retired in your seventies, I am strongly suggest you to arrange a personal tour rather than do it on your own. Let us plan for you and take care of your hassle.

Hi I'm Pete,
I'am also a Vegetarian and I had no trouble at all with food in Vietnam.
I'm 58 and very open minded so there were no trips that would stop me going on.
You can go to the opera. My brother and I enjoy the bamboo theatre.
Evening cruise with a meal on the Mekong. Fantastic light show. Great for vegetarians.
Military museums about the American war (the war in Vietnam ) very interesting with a different point of view.
You will enjoy the Country and the People, as they are so friendly.
