Our guide Ele (Tuong Nguyen) met us at our hotel & preceded to take us on our days adventures. Ele took us to the repatriation workshop for victims who still suffer from the effects of the war. Absolutely wonderful craftsmanship of the people. The money from these workshops provide an income for the people & the government to continue to improve the lives of the soldiers & the next generation affected.
Then on to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Ele explained all the different things we saw in an extremely interesting way, giving us a great history lesson on the way. Many things we did not know. His knowledge & understanding of this was marvellous. After the tunnels Ele took us on an unexpected outing down the Mekong. What a marvellous outing. We went to 3 islands, having a beautiful lunch that Ele had organised for us. Everything was wonderful & interesting. We all had a great time. Ele was a great guide. He had a great sense of humour, a great command of the English language & most of all he was very respectful & treated us as a friend & not just his job. Thank you Ele (Tuong Nguyen). You are a great ambassador for yourself & your country.

We enjoyed great sites and conversations with Ele. Like a lot of folks we saw the tunnels, drank cobra blood and toured the delta. Ele speaks English well and can add great value with much background information. We highly recommend him!

Ele took us around to the Cu Chi Tunnels, the Vietnamese Heroes Village - Lacquer Art Factory, the War Remnants Museum, a giant Buddhist Temple, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Saigon Post Office, and the Reunification Palace.

The Tunnels were impressive! A great lesson on the ingenuity of the Vietnamese and the sacrifices the Viet Cong went through to fight in the Vietnamese War.

Later the Lacquer Art Factory was an interesting stop that seemed more like a craft store cleverly designed to tug on your heart-strings. That being said, the art is pretty and obviously a lot of care goes into them. Worth the stop.

It's no wonder that the War Remnants Museum is the most popular museum in Vietnam. It is fascinating and eye-opening to see the American-Vietnamese conflict from the Vietnamese side. So much of only the American side is shown in the West that it was interesting to see this perspective.

The Notre Dame Cathedral is beautiful though I wish we could have seen more of it. Since it is still an actively used place of worship we had access to the entrance and we're free to take pictures in the entrance and outside.

The Saigon Post Office is not only a large and beautiful landmark building of historical significance, it's also a... Post Office! It was funny seeing people sending mail and parcels while tourists jostled for position to take the perfect photo. A great spot to pick up a souvenir too!

We ended the day with a quick history lesson in front of the Reunification Palace, the former seat of government for South Vietnam. Ele explained the transfer of power from the King, to the French, to the various Presidents backed by the different factions, and finally the siege and ousting of the South Vietnamese government and the Reunification of the country. Very interesting history for this significant building.

During our travels we also stopped for some Cobra (those squeemish about where their food comes from should avoid this; it's a roadside family farm and the cobra is butchered and cooked right in front of you), we had some delicious Pho, and also some civet (weasle poop) coffee!

Ele was friendly, knowledgable, very informative and his English is very good. I definitely recommend him as your tour guide. The air conditioned bus was a huge bonus too! It's hot in those Tunnels!

We booked this trip at our hotel duc vuong. The bus arrived on time at 8 am. Our super friendly tour guide was 5 star. He was very informative and very friendly. The tour he planed was great. We visited the canals, coconut candyfabric, honey bees and cycled on bycicles across coconut island. All was topped off with a nice lunch. We couldnt have asked for more as this day was very well planned and gave us a lot of insight on local life at the mekong delta. Thanks again lone for making this day special.

Wow, what an amazing day! Ele was fantastic, he took us to the tunnels and the Mekong River. It was a jam packed day full of fun. Ele really adds some great historical insight along the way. If we were staying longer in Saigon we would have definitely done the two day Mekong trip like he suggested. What a blast!

Have travelled on many occasions in and around HCMC with Ele as our tour guide when my daughter and I have taken small groups of people to Vietnam. The first time we visited the Mekong Delta and also the Cuchi tunnels. We had such a marvellous time with Ele that we have always requested him as our guide on all the other trips. He is so knowledgeable, speaks excellent English, has a great sense of humour and nothing is ever too much trouble for him. All of our friends we have travelled with and even others we have recommended Ele to have enjoyed their tours immensely and have the highest praise for him. We now think of him as part of our family and are looking forward to travelling and spending time with him again next year. A wonderful tour guide and a very dear friend!! Great trip, very informative and moving. We booked the trip through the hotel. Very reasonable price. The bus picked us up at the hotel. Your guide (Ali) was really good. Gave us loads of information about HCMC and its people on route. He then took us round the tunnels and was a great guide. Would recommend this trip

Booked the CuChi tunnels tour with the concierge at my hotel and was very fortunate to be with this company. We were picked up from the hotel with a mini bus on time. The tour ended up being just 5 people including myself and my girlfriend. Our guide spoke excellent English and clearly knew a lot.

The Cu Chi tunnels were busy with many packs of tourists some as many as 30 people. Would definitely not suggest that as you don't get the intimacy that you would with a smaller group.

I can't speak for their other tours but Cu Chi was great and I'm sure the quality of the others would be just as good. Would recommend!

Blue Diamond Hotel was lovely. We met our wonderful guide Ele (Tuong Nguyen). He escorted us to The repatriation workshop, on to the tunnels, & an afternoon trip on the Mekong. What a wonderful experience with our fantastic guide Ele. He gave us a very educational tour. His English was wonderful & allowed us to understand what he loved about his country & passed this on to us. He was funny, informative, very helpful and very much a personal touch as the people we were with have had Ele many times before & requested him again this time. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ele as a guide for anyone visiting HCMC. Lyn Tree
