I met Pat in 2007, he looked after my Lis, then did a total rebuild of my TV, which at that time was and engine case, a frame and leg shields, he also did the engine on my li, again total rebuild. he also takes care of my Vespas. he has a wide range of accessories, and a top selection of seats pipes etc. the thing that really puts him above the others here is his in depth knowledge of what is available globally in the way of top kits. he can also do modifications, such as disc brakes or electric engines. he is universally considered the go to guy by scooterists here is Saigon. he also arranges ride outs, charity rides and holiday rides to the North in which he takes part. in fact he arranges them mostly for the crack and love of riding. top bloke to take care of your beloved baby.

Have known Patrick for 7 years. Thought I would buy a Classic 1960's Vespa, we discussed all aspects of time frame to build, colors etc...but decided against buying only because I have nowhere to store ít as I live in a modern high rise building. I see Patrick regularly, what an honest straight forward Guy.

We rented scooters for a week and did a lot of riding. The bikes were serviced and gave us no problems. Mr Thien gave us honest information and did everything he said he would. Great service and reliable businessman. He even shipped our driving licenses to us in a different city!

Fancy shop ? Western face ? Promise of quality ? FORGET IT

my very experience : 150 d lambretta was a shame , revealed only after closer inspection , after getting it home in another country .

you dont get what you pay for

shiny paint and some fancy tyres is as far as my lambretta s value went .

900 miles from a "total rebuild " , including full engine rebuild , my lambo died .

well taking it to a real vespa/lambo mechanic revealed:

its wasnt a real LD , vin numbers were just stamped on and meant nothing.
was a cut down from a later model to look like the 55 model i paid for

Clutch plates and mechanism totally worn out.

second gear cog totally worn

Flywheel welded on ! and completely broken , welded , cracked, ground and fully rusted

points were spot welded in , and clearly had 1000s miles on.

wheel bearings seemed authentic , from 1950s that is.

all stuff i supose i could have inspected whilst buying it in vietnam , but i didnt , because i trusted the saigon scooter shop.

my advice , dont shop here . your not getting what you paid for , your getting a rough restoration at best with shiny paint.

My friends and I rented scooters for 10 days from here and we had a great experience. I have used this company twice over the past few years and I couldnt recommend enough. The customer service was fantastic, we arranged our rentals via email in the UK before arriving. It was very easy pick up and drop off. We travelled from Hanoi to Ho Chi Min City which was a great experience on the bike. Would definetley use again.

We have rent two scooters at Saigon scooter center for more than 2 weeks in order to explore the real Vietnam. The service is excellent. I was in contact with Pat the owner. Is mail a few days before we arrived in Saigon to reserve the scooters. We had to Honda semi automatic which where in a superp shape and we had no issues with them at all. Since we only had 16 days for driving in Vietnam we decided on short notice to rather start in hue and than drive back down to Saigon. Pat and his stuff organized on last minute for us that the bikes where send to Hue by train and helped us to get the tickets and pick up letter for hue so we would have no issue to get the bikes in Hue. Also pat gave us great tips which routes we should take. We planed actually to drive down the cost and than go from nah trang to the highlands to visit dalat. Pat recommend us to rather go into the highlands from Hoi an heading to kom Tum and than to nah trang if we want to really see Vietnam. We followed his recommendation and where really glad we did. We did not even found fantastic pass roads through the mountains on this route also the scenery was just amazing and we enjoyed every bit of it. When we come back next year to head up north to explore sapa we definitely will get the bikes from path again.

Don't think about riding a scooter round Saigon unless you are really confident and capable but if you are going to do it then go to a "20 years in Saigon business" like the Saigon Scooter Centre. Patrick is quiet and exudes confidence in his own skills, his business, his staff and the bikes. He is selling "peace of mind" because the last thing you need to be thinking about while negotiating Ho Chi Minh roads during rush hour is "is my bike ok, will it breakdown?" etc. The prices are competitive, the bikes well serviced. Bring your own crash hat if you can, the local Vietnamese helmets are not up to western standards. Be aware though motorbiking in Vietnam requires a local driving licence - which I / you don't have, so the insurance is invalid and so will your travel insurance be useless. Just be aware of the risk but if you want to do it, go to Patrick.

Pat and his friendly team are great to deal with. We made enquiries through the website which was very informative and received an instant response. The motor cycle we hired was in excellent condition with insurance and all necessary papers supplied. I'll definitely be dealing with Pat again and highly recommend him and his team. Thanks again for all your help.

A friend and I hired scooters from Pat and the team to take us from Saigon to Hanoi in around 3 weeks.

I would highly recommend doing this over buying a cheap win as you will be in repair shops for all of your holiday.

Pat and the team were great and the scooters were more than capable of doing the trip (and I am a big guy and had a lot of luggage).

The return service was easy, just drop it on the train and send back the docs!

Our deposit was returned promptly and Pat we great at answering all of my queries prior to the trip.

Great service! Thanks again Pat and Team!
