Looking forward to the designer house. I have always been a fan of local designer apparel and its the only shopping experience i loved. Not night markets where thet sell replicas or the same old same old.
Went to the location today but its gone. Under renovation. Do not go

We were staying at the Novotel and kept passing this shop on our walks. The window display featured some beautiful and very interesting dresses with what I'd have to describe as origami-like folded skirts. I was intrigued and finally went in to check it out. WOW! It turns out that the shop features the work of Vietnamese designers who needed a place to show their lines. Huge selection of lovely goods, many in silk and linen, contemporary but with traditional Vietnamese influences and design details. A wider selection of dresses than anything else, but I also saw gowns, tops, jackets, shoes, scarves and more. There were also several racks of absolutely gorgeous ao dais (the traditional Vietnamese long-sleeved tunic worn over pants). Many of the garments, not just the ao dais, featured embroidery, appliqué, or beading, and the prices will make your eyes pop, they are so inexpensive for what you get. For me, the issue was that little was large enough to fit me as an American size 10 (which seemed to translate to a Vietnamese L) or that, if it did fit, the style was too young. But if you are young and small, this is the mother lode! (Also consider buying an ao dai to hang as a work of art.) Located almost next door to the Novotel Saigon Centre. Don't miss it!
