About
Roses Spa is operated to Western standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The professional staff are courteous and well trained. A full range of health and beauty services are offered. Traditional Vietnamese massage and facials using quality French cleansers and moisturisers are a specialty. This Spa is at the lower end price wise but delivers an experience to rival spa's charging much more.

Avoid this spa if you are looking for genuine treatment to relax. Money lost during the session as no locker under bed provided.

Handy pinky and cheat shop

Do not go here
Jun 2018 • Friends
I went to get my legs and eyebrows waxed. The girl who started waxing my legs had no idea what she was doing and was taking an extremely long time. Another lady came in who had got some more wax, she told me to close my eyes and started using a razor blade on my eyebrows. She put a towel over my head and started using a blade to wax my legs. I got up to leave but they were blocking the door. I paid them 400 thousand dong just so I could get out of there. I have never been so terrified and would strongly urge everyone thinking about going here to chose another spa. The rooms were also very dirty and run down

Avoid.

The quality of this place has plummeted since I've lived here. The masseuses generally are awkward girls with little to no skills/experience in massaging, the last two times I've dropped in I had to wait 5 minutes then 10 minutes and then some more even though there were no other customers inside (and the staff was no where to be found), there's no privacy in the rooms, and it's extremely noisy outside. What's supposed to be a relaxing experience is interrupted with horns, Viets shrieking and squawking in the alley, hammers banging, and power saws sawing. I mean it's spectacularly irritating. But if you're into that sort of thing, then look no further! =)

Has potential, but it didn't live up to expectation this time around.

Went there today with my wife. Their display says 20% discount, but we didn't feel like we got the discount as we were asked to pay the full price on their brochure. My wife and I paid 500,000 VND (no discount) for the 90 mins full body massage and facial. We walked in at 18:06.

We were led to a room upstairs. They didn't give us privacy to remove our clothes as they stayed in the room while we were getting undressed. They were nice with us.

The massage was ok for me. I got less massage time than my wife as my masseuse kept leaving the room.

My wife was getting more massage time than me...:(
They finished with the facial by 19:18, which was obviously less than the 90 mins massage time we paid for.

My masseuse left the room as soon as she said it was over. My wife's masseuse was still going for another minute. When she finished, I was trying to talk to her, but she spoke limited English, so we couldn't understand what she was trying to tell us.

We got asked for a tip, but we didn't tip for a few reasons:
1. They didn't give us the discount, which was a shame as we would have given the staff the discounted money.
2. There was no calming music playing. We could hear the noise from the traffic outside.
3. We got less massage time than then 90mins.
4. We didn't feel like the massage was good enough.
5. We didn't have any small change on us.

On the positive side, my wife did enjoy her massage.

I found out that my masseuse was the manager, which made it more disappointing as I would have expected better from her.

Will we go back there again? Probably not as they weren't as good as we expected.
There are other massage places around that we will try while we are in Ho Chi Minh.

Full body massage
It was an average massage. Place looked oké, not as nice as some others we've seen. Decided to go here anyway because of the tripadvisor recommendations.
Was here with my boyfriend, his massage was good and hard. Mine was a bit disappointing, the girl didn't really seem to know what she was doing.
Both girls weren't really friendly and were talking to each other during the massage. Both walked out of the room a few times during the massage, no idea why.
They asked for a tip afterwards. Conclusion: not great.

Good massage, recommended!
Feb 2015
My massage at Roses Spa was very good. I had a Vietnamese massage for 1 hour at 180,000 dong. Pressure was good and the masseuse was attentive and did a good job. She didn't ask for a tip, but I tipped her an extra 60,000, but that's all I had with me. The place is no frills but it's clean and most importantly the massage was pleasant and effective. If you are in the area, I definitely recommend it.

Great massage but don't get mani/pedi!
Aug 2014 • Friends
This is a no frills place and a little bit of a tricky place to find as it's not on the main street but the foot massage I received was so good. My legs were swollen from the humidity and from walking everywhere during my 2 weeks holiday but after the massage my legs felt so light and refreshed! 60minutes massage included salt scrub, hot stone massage and it was so relaxing. When the massage finished they asked for pedicure so I decided to go ahead; which was a mistake. They aren't much option for nail polish but out of the small options many are dried out so not a good coat. A fairly young girls sat on the floor while they filed and shaped my toe nails and I wasn't sure if it was hygienic; all the while a little boy was just reclining on the sofa playing with his iphone! Note : Tipping wasn't enforced.

Thanks for your review. I'm happy to hear you had a great massage. Bit disappointing about the manicure. Thanks for the feedback and I'll look into it. I know we have a huge range of colours and brands of colour. Maybe you got one which is less popular or not been sealed correctly. In any case I'll get them all checked. Cheers

Good massage but beware
Had a deep tissue massage here, was great really one of the best i have had on my trip through asia.

The only downside was after the massage, the girl demanded a tip, it was 180,000 dong for the massage and i gave her all the money i had on me which was 20,000 (theres actually a poster downstairs saying tips is not expected but 10% if you want) but she demanded 100,000. I tried to explain to her that i was just about to get on a flight to go home so i had spent all my dong and didnt want to get more out. But she got upset and told me that she didnt get a salary just tips. If this is true than that is horrible and i dont encourage anyone to go.
Either way it left a bad taste after a really great massage.

Thanks for your review. To be clear our therapists are paid a retainer unlike most in the area as they are instructed NOT to solicit customers for tips. Thankfully most are happy to give something or that wage and accordingly the massage price would have to go up. As I'm sure you can imagine the only way anyone can pay inner city rent and provide an hour of traditional massage for $9 the retaining wage is not great and the staff do rely on tips to top up their wage. The reason I have a tips guide in reception is to help customers from other countries which don't have tips or a service charge in their culture is to give them a guideline. Thanks again for your review all feedback is greatly appreciated.
