Worst massage encountered
Jul 2015 • Couples
My partner and I both went for body & foot massage each. As soon as we lied down, the two ladies started chatting. We thought it would stop after a couple of minutes, but it didn't. More of them came & joined in, it soon became to sound like a market. It was very unpleasant as we were trying to relax. Not only that, the masseuse was not really concentrating on the massage, they were more focused in their own conversation. The massage was only done with one hand & it just felt like someone was gently stroking instead of massaging.

Instead of 60 minutes, we decided to change it to only 30 minutes. However the noise & the whole situation was so unbearable that we walked out under 20 minutes. The lady boss was understanding enough to not accept our payment but we had already wasted time traveling there when we could have gotten ourselves a rewarding massage.

Overall- very disappointing. Will never go back nor recommend this to anyone.

I opted for the full-body massage. It was rather affordable at 260,000 dong for an hour. I guess you get what you pay for - the masseur didn't offer to clean/wash my dirty feet before starting the massage so I felt really uncomfortable throughout the whole session. The masseuses were also chatting among themselves and there was little privacy between the other customer and myself.

I enjoyed the massage at Eva Spa. The masseuses didn't talk amongst themselves (during the massage), which was greatly appreciated. The massage was well paced and relaxing.

Good but could be better

I booked in for the relaxation package, this includes a body scrub, full body massage and facial. My hotel booked this for me and told me that the receptionist would pay the taxi which was a nice touch. On arrival I was given some sort of tea whilst I waited to be taken through. I was a little confused at first as to what to do as the girl told me to take a shower but it didn't work. I asked somebody else who turned out to be my therapist who said no, shower in sauna downstairs. So I was taken in the lift in my towel to a dark room where there was indeed a shower within the sauna. I then lay down on to the bed ready to be scrubbed. Whilst lying there in just a pair of paper pants another woman came in and was chatting to my lady which prevented me from relaxing. After she went my lady bent down and whispered something in my ear which I couldn't understand so I just laughed awkwardly.
The scrub itself was good and thorough and afterwards I had another shower in the sauna. I was then taken in the lift again to another area and whilst in there she whispered again although this time it was very clearly "leave a tip for me".
When we got to the next room it looked rather like a hospital ward with beds with curtains around where both men and woman would have their treatments side by side.
The massage was very good as was the facial. I had an aching back from being crammed in a minibus the day before and she cracked it properly. She was sat across my back at one point really working in hard. When she got to my legs she was clearly texting as I could hear her phone keep vibrating plus having a conversation with another therapist so not quite the ambience I'm used to Back home especially considering i had ordered the relaxing package.
When it got to my facial, up until that time i had been the only one in there but then a man was brought in and the mood music appeared. I did doze during the facial it was lovely although on two moe occasions she had said give me tip please which was very off putting.
When I finished I expected to me taken to pay and then be given the chance to tip as I wish but no, she stood with me still asking for tip so I gave it to her and then went up to pay.
I would have tipped her anyway as she was good so there was no need to stand over me like that but I guess that they do all they can to secure their share.
All in all treatment was very good, ambience not so good they have a bit to learn on how to really make you feel relaxed.

Professional, Clean, Relaxing
A Vietnamese American friend who lives outside HCM has a package here and brought me for a treat last year. A place to treat herself to pampering when she comes in from the village. I went again this week on my own and had a package with 3 services.

Upon entering, past reception, it was a little confusing on directions (or lack of directions) since I don't speak Vietnamese, and the staff seemed a little lax on trying to communicate. However, if you can just roll with the "directions" being a gal walking ahead of you and motioning in the direction of a closed door, or lift, the treatments you'll enjoy.

The gal offering my facial had skills (but be careful of the extractions which are painful and left my nose bruised the next day! Just say, NO THANKS!) The body scrub nice-especially the steam shower room for as long as you like beforehand (it was dark in the room, and I think the scrub had sweetened condensed milk in it...It was an unusual sweet smell, but plenty of scrub...and a generous massage).

The body massage after was relaxing but not too light. I fell sound asleep!

They give you only a towel to wear to walk between treatments, and both men and women share the same room for massages (draw curtains dividing). So if you are modest, this would be awkward.

Asked about tipping and the front desk suggested starting at 20,000 each service.

A delicious experience of pampering for two hot and tired ladies

Eva's Spa
A delicious experience of pampering for two hot and tired mature ladies. We tried the hot stone and ginger massage with groans of delight and then silence as our bodies relaxed. We followed that with the vitamin facial. Glowing and refreshed we hit the streets again. It's better to book. Staff were gracious and experienced. We would definitely go back.

Tranquil!
Opted for the full body scrub, massage and facial... best decision ever!
You pay for the spa style setting (not that it was extremely expensive-43USD for 2.5 hrs).. and their hands work wonders. Very polite staff -we were well looked after.

Bliss
I went here twice while I was in HCMC and was impressed both times. My husband was having a suit made a few doors down, so I decided to go for a quick eyebrow wax while he was being fitted. The ambiance is relaxing and the aircon feels great after being outside. The girl did a great job and I was really happy with the result.

Second time was for a one-hour therapeutic massage, which was aaaamazing! Probably the best I've ever had!

The girls are lovely and the service is great. It's a bit more expensive that some of the other massage places, but definitely worth the couple extra dollars! Would highly recommend!

Do yourself a favor, get a facial, body massage at Eva Spa in the heart of Hochiminh city, VIetnam. There is paradise awaiting for males and females. Most females on the times that I have been there. Come early and enjoy the sauna, steam room and showers before your facial and body massage. It is included in the price of your massage.
Do the special package treatment. Relaxing package, Treatment package,.. . The technician that works on your body will lull you into a peacefull state of mind as she gently massages away the aches and pains of everyday living. This space will be make you believe that you are some place else.

Do it for your mind. Do it for your body. Or just do it cause you can.
The best place for you! Eva Spa
