This appears to be more of a wholesale market specialising in fabric and clothes where the lots are small and the aisles are really narrow (like Ben Thanh market) and blocked by the shopkeepers sitting in the aisles as they have no where else to sit. While stock may be plenty however due to lack of space only very few... More

Minutes ago we were just at the An Dong Plaza (do refer to my earlier review of this place here), which is just a short walk from here, and we came by here for a visit. Well, a huge difference between the two. The former is an air-conditioned and modern complex while the latter, more of an old and run... More

The market is within an old dilapidated hotel, where the merchants have taken over the building to sell their clothes, jewelry and food. There's a good food market at the basement, so I'll give credit to that place, but you can find that food elsewhere in Ho Chi Minh. This place is more for the locals, so as a tourist... More

Not as impressive as some of the other markets, but a good selection of clothes, some housewares and handicrafts. Also bulk fabric is available. It's also a 2 minute walk from the more upscale An Dong Plaza. Mostly bulk sales happening here, but it is worth a visit

If you have been to Ben Thanh Market, you will find a striking resemblance between these two markets other than the fact that Ben Thanh Market is much more crowded (this market was empty on a weekday afternoon) and Ben Thanh has many stalls spread out on street level but this market has a few levels of stalls. This is... More

We checked out An Dong Plaza because we were staying at the Windsor. We were hoping to find some souvenirs without going to Cho Ben Thanh, but could only find clothes, shoes, jewelry and dried goods. We were thinking cups, fans, coasters, etc.

This market had some great souvenirs on the top floor slightly cheaper than Ben tranh but nothing different. What was very interesting was the dried foods, colourful mounds of shrimp and spice. Not the best shopping experience but a real cultural one

I, like this place. Multi storey building and the dried goods are cheaper and also of better quality. Bought "love letters and some dried goods. Recommend this place for local grocery shopping.

Went to An Dong Market once. Many shops selling the same things, and prices are not cheap either. You need to bargain a lot, it's best if you have a local with you. It really was not worth the trip. Quite cramp and I would just skip this market. You can easily find stuff in other areas of the same... More

We spent many days in Ho Chi Minh and visited all the markets including An Dong and spent most money on An Dong as the prices agreed were cheaper and we thought the lacquerware products we bought were better quality than Ben Thanh market. An Dong market is not a tourist market it is generally for locals but also contains... More
