- DalSingapore58 contributionsClassy mall in the heart of SàigònCame by Sàigòn Centre on 02 Nov 2022. A beautifully renovated mall with various offerings catered to tourists such as fragrance, cosmetics, flowers, ladies shoes & bags, fashion jewelry & watches, hair & nail salon, facial salon, lingerie salon, household, bedding, baby sundries and clothing, children wear & shoes, toys & stationery, men business, luggage and event hall. Things here don’t look cheap and there were hardly any discount. We started to explore Office Tower 2, Takashimaya (the anchor tenant), Samsonite and Là Việt Coffee. Also stopped by Breadtalk for some night snack. B2 and L5 are catered mainly for F&B. Apart from Vietnamese cuisine, there’s Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Hong Kong. Drinks wise, there are many coffee and tea shops in this mall. Note that there’s Currency Exchange at B2. Sad that the pharmacies at B2 did not have the home medications we were looking for. Only things we missed were the Garden at L4 and Rooftop Garden at L6.Visited November 2022Written December 11, 2022
- ScottPortland, Oregon4 contributionsOne of the best shopping Experience in HCMCTake a load off and get away from the hustle and bustle of HCM city.. Saigon Centre is a mall as well as a upscale hotel. A relaxing and clean, safe environment for you to relax and recharged. Has many restaurant and cafe to enjoy, as well as some of the best world class shopping. Highly recommendedVisited May 2022Written January 9, 2023
- Abovetheclouds2,233 contributionsMy favourite mall in Saigon. Upscale plus International brands. Easy to navigate. Good choice of shops plus eateries and coffee. The mall looks very new. Big but not huge. Many luxury upscale brands but also International names like Mango and Aldo. Takashimaya Ho Chi Minh City is also located here which appears to be very popular. Classy mall. Not as busy as the Vincom Center nearby. Having said this, it does get busy at certain periods during lunchtime, early evening and on weekends. There are a number of eateries and coffee shops as well as the usual food court and a really nice gourmet supermarket. Very clean and easy to navigate. The information desk on the entrance level is very useful and staff speak English if you are looking for a specific store or need help. The mall is air conditioned but not too cold. There is also loads of seating if you just want to have a break from the heat! Wifi is very weak and when it does connect, it goes again! The eateries have better connection. Clean. Easy to get a taxi outside if you need one. Saigon Square is opposite which is more a market. Don't bother taking the lifts, they take ages! Just use the escalators. There is like different zones or one building and two parts. Can't make it out but you can easily connect and walk between the different areas. I am in Saigon for a while and this is my favourite mall. If you need an ATM or currency exchange, go to the downstairs level near McDonald's. The exchange rates are not bad. It is more secure as well rather than using an ATM in the street.Visited January 2023Traveled soloWritten January 24, 2023
- Zfy EdSingapore, Singapore8,519 contributionsBig shopping center! This place is no doubtly the landmark of district 1 and surely you will pass by it very often. It's a fod and shopping paradise, with many related stores over its several storeys and there will definitely be something that meet your shopping or dinning needs. The key anchor tenant is Takashimaya, covering 3-4 storeys including the basement, the food section. There is also another big supermarket, among other established boutiques and international branded chain stores here. And the catch is that the price of items here are not "that cheap", possibly due to it's "high end" positioning. And there are many eateries, cafes and fast food restaurant, besides the pastry & confectionery and ice cream stalls too, mostly at the basement. During our visit here (inconjunction with the World Cup Season and Christmas), the mall was nicely decorated with the World Cup and Christmas theme, the big trophy, trees and lightings were installed and great crowds were busy taking photographs. So do drop by for a visit, even for windows shopping will be a good experience!Visited December 2022Written February 2, 2023
- Shelley MAlbany, New Zealand765 contributionsnot as hassled as the marketFound this not as hectic and hussled as the market and not as upmarket as Saigon Square. Was a nice in the middle option with realistic prices and pretty much same as the market for goods to buy. Not a lot of walking space, but it just works. Handy location.Visited April 2023Written April 29, 2023
- WishaMelbourne, Australia6 contributionsSimply a normal high end shopping centreOur hotel did a free shuttle to this shopping centre. It is nice but as previous reviews, is all the high end shops and normal prices that you would spend at high end shops. Nice to walk around and safer than walking around the streets but 3.5hours was too long. 1 hour would have been plenty. I did not see many people with bags so assume purchase rates are low for locals and visitors alike.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 14, 2023

Caught a 12 year old peeping tom in the female toilet on level 3. I grabbed on to him and made him delete the compromising photo he took of me. I brought him to security and they simply wanted to make this hush hush so as not to attract attention. I was reminded that the photo he took of me is deleted so there’s no evidence. And my video of the perpetrator in the female toilet is insufficient to prosecute because he “went to the wrong toilet by mistake”. If you are a foreigner, you can try dialing 113 but honestly the line was engaged when I tried which was bad luck.

Everything in this shopping centre.
Your usual suspects stores with some great dining options.
A sparkling clean and well set out shopping centre (as opposed to Vincom)
Don't miss the food hall in basement and amazing market store. I was impressed!
Would recommend and well worth a look.

This is Ho Chi Minh City's prime downtown shopping mall. Saigon Centre is the place to look for international brands and luxury goods. There is also a sizable food court with a variety of cuisines as well as a pleasant rooftop garden. It is like an urban oasis to escape from growling motorcycles in busy thoroughfares.

Definitely recommended if you want to escape the heat. Plus great eating options on the top and bottom floor. Full of locals so you know the food is good. Not as cheap as street food but still very affordable. Aside from that it’s a department store like Westfield. No bargaining and normal prices. High end like Gucci thru to Zara & Uniqlo.

Nothing special here. It is like all the other luxury departement store. All the international brands are available. The price level is high. The food market downstairs is impressive. Meat and fish dishes are amazing. Also exportef alcohol products and beers.

Four levels of shopping experience. The prices are not any cheaper considering the location.
Not sure if I’d go back. The same shops are back in Australia so I cannot say there was anything different and worthy of buying.

Hi, is there Nike and Puma stores there ?
Jo-Ann E
New Zealand345 contributions
I dont recall Nike or Puma in Saigon Sq - most likely will be though.. but if you're looking for genuine brands there are a lot of stores around and I dont think they are any cheaper than at home (NZ).
On another note... I bought a pair of 'knock off' Nike shoes while I was there for walking and they are the most comfortable shoes I bought!!!. I was going to throw them before I left (that was the intention) cos they were only $15-20 but I am still wearing them today and they're in good condition still... so you can buy good quality knock off shoes. Same with clothing - but choice is less... :-)
is it ok to take alternative medicine ie fish oil , vitamins & so on in my luggage to Vietnam? ?
are there bottle shops in Vietnam where I could grab a bottle of scotch? ?
