First off- the store is lovely. I visited in early January 2020- lots of fun items and well worth exploring both floors.
I'm leaving this review primarily because of the owner. It was my first time traveling solo, and I was upstairs exploring some of the different teas for sale. She came over to say hello, and asked how I was doing, and I said I was shopping for some tea for my dad, who dislikes coffee. She then invited me to sit down and sample some tea with her. It was a great conversation of an American and a Vietnamese woman chatting. I explained how my dad had some stomach issues that sometimes tea leaves him with. She then teared up, told me how she had lost her dad. She had some tea she thought would be good for my dad, but was out of it and asked if I could come by the next day to pick some up. I told her I wished I could, but my flight back to the US was in the early morning. She asked for my hotel. She dropped some of this tea off at my hotel later that night, free of charge.
What a wonderful gift and story and memory I have now of the generosity and friendliness of Vietnamese people. Thank you so much, to this store owner. PS- my dad loves the tea.

Happened on this quaint souvenir shop on the way to Ben Thanh Market. The shop is a cut above the rest in the quality of items and presentation as well. They offer a good variety of knick knacks from ceramic bowls and spoons to hip reusable bags and leather notebooks.
Items sold are a bit more expensive than market finds and you can't ask for price reductions, but they're worth it. Got a leather notebook and a unique TinTin magnet for VND 245,000.
Credit cards accepted.
Staff was helpful but not pushy. Special shout out to them because I left my phone and they made sure I got it back. Now that's worth a relaxing time looking around and shopping! No need to be scared of pickpockets here.

Finally someone in Ho Chi Minh with stylish items. In an oasis of tacky imitation products this shop is a gem - beautiful items, fairly reasonably priced.

I was in Saigon only 2 weeks ago and came across this beautiful shop by chance and so happy that I did! If only my suitcase was bigger, as I would have bought more than the gorgeous woven handbag that I did purchase. I love it!
After leaving Duy Tan and sightseeing around the area, I had a chance meeting with the owner of the shop who was just lovely and so friendly, - it was really special talking with her, - I'll always remember that experience, - that link with her and her beautiful shop.
Thank you!

By reading reviews on Trip Advisor I went in search of this shop and wasn't disappointed. The quality of items is good and the pricing is more than the market but very clearly displayed and curated. Definitely worth a visit.

En route to Ben Thanh Market, we stopped into this inviting shop, which offers a wide range of unique souvenirs and gift items. Unlike the cheap but poorly made souvenirs in the Market, this shop was full of attractive, well-crafted, unique products at very reasonable prices. Also, the shop was air-conditioned, and the staff was helpful but not aggressive. So pleased with the shopping experience here and the quality of the merchandise.

Spacious store, good variety of lacquer and ceramics. Great service with no pressure to buy - the place to go to buy gifts without expectations of haggling.

Was blown away by the selection of gorgeous ceramics in this store! Hand painted items made in Vietnam which made them special keepsakes to take home. It was hard not to buy everything! The woman who helped me wrapped everything with such care, I wish I would have gotten more! She was so sweet and helpful as I took forever trying to narrow down what I wanted. There were so many specialty items such as tea sets, high end chopstick sets, beautiful hand painted glass jewelery boxes, coffee mugs, a wide variety of ceramics/china, handmade woven bags and so much more! Everything was of the highest quality too...I definitely recommend this store for anyone visiting Saigon!!

I think it does! It's a nice little place for souvenirs but if you would like some really beautiful hand crafted ones I'd go to Authentique Home. There you will find beautiful bowls and they're amazing at wrapping them up for your flight back home.
