Vietsea Tourist was an excellent tour company ever. They are like a friends and one of our member trip who can manage every single details to fit in and suitable with our plan. They are all have a good service-mind, willing to share and recommend everything that we want to know and notice what we cannot do and what we have to be careful. We are all appreciated along the way we go in 4 days 3 nights in 3 cities - HCMC, Dalat and Muine. Love it and thank you so much for taking care of us.

Our mistake- going for cheap. We wanted to go to the Cu Chi Tunnels but we were too late to book so we quickly decided on the Mekong Delta day tour instead. We opted for bus with a hotel pick up costing 220,000 dong which is around £7. Super cheap, for what we got we cannot really complain. However if we had known about the transportation element and the poor tour guide, we would have opted for a more expensive tour without thinking twice. First we were told to wait outside the hotel at 7:50. We were on time but we had to wait until 8:40 for someone to come and get us to be told that the driver had been given the wrong address. The bus didn't pick us up outside our hotel, we had to walk to it. Anyway, not the biggest deal- until we got on the bus. The only seats left were at the very back corner and they were incredibly cramped. Our legs couldn't fit (see photo 1). We had to sit for 2.5 hours like this and it was very uncomfortable to the point where I was plotting to take a cab home rather than return via the bus. On the journey our guide said "you have two options, pay 10,000 dong each and you can go on the motorway or we go on the bumpy road." 10,000 is really not a lot BUT it was just one of those "here we go" moments. The guide didn't actually get up and take any money off anyone and before we knew it we were on the bumpy country road anyway without even realising it. It took a good while to get to the Delta. We first stopped at a Pagoda. Then got to the Delta and got on a boat. We went to a coconut candy factory and it was all about sales of course. The guide didn't wait for us all to join the group before giving a very brief explanation of the coconut usage. Then we went to a restaurant for a light lunch. First thing they do is put drinks in front of you but these you pay extra for. That was ok with us but you just feel like you need to double check everything so you know what is what. Pleasantly surprised with the simple meal, rice, pork, vegetables and 2 small spring rolls. The vegetarians had to say they were vegetarian and they were brought fresh plates with tofu instead of pork. We were then taken past a bee farm and through a market to an area where we sat, were given fruit and singers/band performed. They expected you to put tips in their baskets. The best bit of course was the paddle boat ride. It lasted around 20 minutes and it was a shame that we weren't offered the traditional cone hats to wear but again no big deal. Cannot complain about the paddle boat ride. Then we got on a boat back to the pier and back on the horrible bus. We were asked to tip the boat driver and the bus driver. Once back in Ho Chi Minh City we were lucky because the bus stopped near our hotel but unfortunately for the other customers they also had to get off the bus and make their own way back to their hotels even though in the morning they were picked up from hotels mostly. They weren't aware of this arrangement. So for 220,000 dong you get to see a lot and do a lot but I would 100% prefer to pay more for a more comfortable ride and a better guide. Our guide was a nice man but not a good guide. We don't consider ourselves fussy people but would not do this again.

I did the Mekong tour, during the day you don't do much just visit a few factories, where obviously they expect you to buy something. The worst was the hotel FULL of LIZARDS and insects. My worst night ever, we tried to change hotel but all around were full. We opted for buying an insect repellent and some raid. I kill the night in a chair as the BED was full fleas. They even give you the choice of using a different or better quality hotel.

Booked two tours with Vietsea to Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong Delta 3 day to Cambodia. Both tours were ran by another tour company but were very good and great value for money. Our service at Vietsea was good too and would have been excellent had we not had a little bit of wrong advice for our 3 day trip. We had already got an evisa in advance for Cambodia and asked if it was ok for the 3 day tour which we were told it’s fine. We only learnt later that the evisa isn’t valid for this entry and we needed to apply for another visa on entry essentially wasting around $65. It may have changed our plans if we were given the correct advice which I think should be a fair assumption given it is part of the tour.
