Foot massage not very good. No refreshment offered. Very very pushy with tips. I gave change that I had after being told to tip and fill out a piece of paper. That wasn’t enough. They scowled and muttered and heir pushing paper at me to to more. Tips are optional. Always. Such rude service.

Good massage, pushy staff
Dec 2018 • Friends
I've never done a fish massage before, its worth the experience I would definitely recommend it. The back and shoulder massage was good, The staff member was very pushy with the tip though, we gave her what we thought was reasonable and she kept converting it to dollars and said it was nothing. An unpleasant ending to what would have otherwise been a good experience.

Best foot massage we had in Vietnam
Apr 2018 • Couples
We visited this spot before our flight because it was right next to our hotel. We opted for the food massage without fish. Our two masseuses were friendly and very qualified! The massage was incredible! And for 9 US each for 45 minutes, who could complain!

My massage was great. Nothing wrong with it at all.
Unfortunately the lady at the bottom who welcomed me and my partner in was very rude.
Tried making us spend more than what we needed and was annoyed when we only tipped $2. (Leftover in our wallet). She started speaking way to quickly and we couldn’t understand her. Assuming she was angry at the tip.
I tip for good service but she was shocking.

I'd heard about having fish 'eat' away your dead skin on your feet, and always wanted to try it, even if it sounds more like a gimmick than an actual treatment. I found this place as it was near my hotel, and decided to give it a go, and although it was fun and fresh, I probably wouldn't do it again.

The place was a little confusing to find; on Google map, it's listed as 32 Dong Khoi, but when I got there, it was a very small door way that was shut with a roller door, and a security guard (?) sitting on his motorbike outside. I asked the man if Blue Moon was open still, and he pointed vaguely down the road and said they've been open and operating all morning and told me to walk further down.

I was very confused and went around the corner and back several times, and didn't see anything resembling Blue Moon, so I finally consulted Google map again.. And saw there's actually two Blue Moon spas. One was 32 Dong Khoi, which was where I was at, and the other was further straight down the same street, 25 Dong Khoi.

So after finally finding the right place, I was led up some stairs by a lady and given a spa menu. While browsing the menu and trying to decide what I wanted, I think the two spa ladies tried to help me choose, but I felt slightly pressured by them to pick quickly instead. I went with the 30 minutes fish foot spa, to be followed by the 30 minutes foot massage.

The fish foot spa was directly in the reception area, and it was two big glass tanks with granite counter tops where you sit, and it reminded me of tanks in Chinese seafood restaurants. One of the spa ladies went to get tea, and the other went to get a tub of water to wash our feet in before we put it into the fish spa.

She used the same tub of water for the two of us though, and as I was second to get my feet washed, I found that slightly unhygienic, given it was supposed to help wash the dust and dirt off our feet between we stepped in. But I didn't say anything, as it wasn't too big a deal, and I didn't want to make her do anything she wasn't going to do or willing to do of her own accord.

The fish foot spa itself was a new sensation. It was very different, and quite fun, and you can actually feel the fish sucking on your feet. It tickled a little at times, but was in no way painful at any time. I don't know if it actually got much dead skin off my feet, but it must have gotten something, because the fish were going crazy in areas I knew I had dead skin, like around my heels. When I felt my feet after, I could still feel some dry, flakey dead skin (I know, so gross), but I'll admit, my feet need some extra loving and attention that no fish could give.

After the fish foot spa, I was shown inside for my foot massage. (By the way, they used the same towel to dry both our feet, but this time I got to go first.) I was given fresh tea, and had my legs wrapped up in a towel while I waited. The massage itself was nothing spectacular; in fact, it was a little lackluster to be honest. It included the use of hot stones, which I don't mind, but it can all come down to how well your masseuse is at using them. The lady who attended to me was not the best. She burnt me several times on both feet, and didn't seem to comprehend that the skin on my feet were a bit more delicate and sensitive to heat than her hands. Not only this, but for some reason she also kept giving off big loud heavy sighs like she'd had enough of work and was fed up. 🙃

Afterwards, I was given the bill, and then a separate sheet of paper which I was to fill in for tips. I originally only gave 50.000vnd as it wasn't the greatest, and the lady working on me really didn't deserve a tip, but then when they saw I only took out 50.000vnd, one of the ladies said loudly "you had two people", pushing me to double the tip as she felt it was only satisfactory for one.

I will never come back here, and I don't recommend anybody else come either; if you wish to experience the fish foot spa, find a different place, I can almost guarantee you'll have a better experience anywhere but here to be honest. The service was barely there, and most definitely not deserving of any tip that I was pushed into leaving them.

Not so much with the fish
Dec 2017 • Friends
I sent a message to the staff at Blue Moon Spa and received a reply a day after I visited the spa. I went with two fellow travelers. The fish apparently were not so hungry that day because only one of us had any fish working on their feet. The other traveler and myself both had very few fish that seemed interested in our feet. There were many fish in the tank but they all congregated on the corner. I paid for 30 minutes and the last 5 minutes I had a few fish working on my feet...up until then, basically nothing. I did not appreciate the staff handing me a slip to fill out for the tip.

Nothing great about foot massage. 1 hour was wasted in just pricking the toes. Didn't cover the whole feet at all. Went on a weekday, hence no rush and the music in the background was good.

Good Dr. fish, bad massage, bad vibe
Sep 2017 • Solo
The doctor fish were nice and made my feet nice and smooth. It is a good price for what you are getting, and you get a mediocre back rub and nice ginger tea too. My only complaint here is that you are sitting on a granite countertop that doesn't have cushions or a back, which is uncomfortable by the end of 30 minutes. It is also in the reception area, which is a bit odd, but forgivable.

The massage I got was terrible. The masseuse was clearly untrained and pushed really hard right on my spine, and it hurt! I requested a new masseuse and she was much better, but then I got a Thai massage rather than the one I had signed up for. The whole situation was awkward, and the atmosphere is far from relaxing; I left feeling more tense than when I came in. Overall, I did not enjoy the experience and would not come back.
