Let me start by saying the club is very clean and well kept and polite staff with very nice equipment. However, if your a petite person with little body fat and leisurely work out without breaking a sweat, you may be ok with it being above 25 C in the gym. For people like me that actually work out and break a sweat and have a bit more body fat, its exhausting and feels like I am in an oven when working out at the gym. The aircon is on full blast at the front of the gym by the front desk but in the rest of the gym most aircon units are turned off and the 2 left on out of 8 units is kept above 25 C. Its to the point I work out less and prefer to go during times when the sun is down so that its a bit cooler in the gym. Its actually cooler at night outside than inside the cardio and weights area of the gym. I complained to management and I received excuses. This is the most expensive gym in HCMC and I dont expect the gym to save money through turning off the aircon units and keeping the temperature above 25 C. I will not be renewing my membership. For your information, according to various peer reviewed studies, the ideal temperature for working out is 10-20 C since it does not dehydrate your body as fast, reduces fatigue and one can actually work out longer and burn more calories, which I did disclose to the GM which fell on deaf ears.

After a workout and a swim we went to the restaurant on the premises, not to the standard you would expect for a club of this standard and not cheap.. Probably will not go back but I was recommended to me so thought we would try.

I'm a owner of the apartment at the Saigon pearl. I bought a membership for my guest which is valid to 4 April 2014. My guest left the country in H
January 2014, therefore I asked the club to transfer to other person right after my guest left VN. It was almost two months, the issue has not solved yet. The management is not willing to offer a solution. Just today I went to the gym, the staff at the gym cut the power while I used the machine. If you plan to buy a membership at this gym, be carefully as after they get your money they don't deliver the service. They cheated on their members.

Great equipment, always clean, staff friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a good club for a workout you should take a look. The sauna is ok and the pool great. Everything you need is here. Step by and look fot yourself. But its not cheap but its worth.

The gym equipment is plentiful and good, with several trainers around to train or answer questions. Nice 36m swimming pool with river view, although occasionally you can also see naked inhabitants parading on low floors of the Ruby1 Tower. The club has a monopolistic position with Saigon Pearl residents. So, membership fees are high for Vietnam (USD10 for single entry, or including discounts for residents: USD95 per month, or USD880 per annum). And they don’t reinvest much in maintaining the facilities. The changing room is really basic (low water pressure, ONE unsanitised comb, cotton swabs, no other amenities). The steam room is small, the dry sauna is currently under renovation. Fortunately, the club is rarely overcrowded, with long opening hours and only 950 members.

with a great pool for relaxing afterwards. Comfortable deck chairs for lounging. The restaurant is adequate. Always fun to see the children splashing and having fun.
