Yesterday on February, 11 we went to Suoi Tien park. It is beautiful there but kids’ playground (for extra charge) is very dirty (toilets there are cleaner than above mentioned playground) and visitors should be barefoot there. Also, staff called my 5 y.o. son “baby” though he asked him not to do so. They continued to call him this word though he was very frustrated and asked them to stop several times (I was away for several minutes). When I asked for a manager staff laughed at me till the moment I switched on video on my phone. Then they became serious and tried to hide their faces.
My second 10 y.o. son wanted to have a roller-coaster ride, he is 140 cm but staff did not allow him explaining it that he must be over 140 cm and there must be minimum 4 people. Their rules are only in Vietnamese language.
It is sad that unprofessional staff and dirtiness spoiled our impression of this beautiful place.

Highly recommend people not to go there.
I and my friend just went there in the afternoon and it costs 700k vnd for 2 tickets combo 4, which is included some thrilling games as roller coaster,… but they gave us a different one ticket which is not included what we need. When we know and ask for them to change it, they refused and kept asking around. And it took us more than 1 hour just to stand there and wait for people to come every 15 minutes but couldn’t help nothing.
They coulda just give us the right one and let us go but they just kept asking around and deny their fault instead.
Poor service system and training.

First you pay entry ( 120.000 đ per person) and NOTHING is included. Every single attraction needs to be payed separately. For me it was just an expensive stroll through a very empty park. To get there and back is also quiet a mission.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT!

Ho Chi Minh .... travelling with kids .... I give a 8/10 for family trip . We ended up with good memories & a must go feeling for next time. Even my kids loved it . They have nice amusement park water park Zoo crocodile reserves and all at a very convenient distance to reach with kids. A fun filled pack week for me & my kids. Ofcourse they are more a local destinations but as it says be roman when in Rome, that’s what made me feel comfortable. If you are a good planner & a explorer, definitely VietnAm is one of the best destinations for all ages. Cleanliness is 8/10 transportation is 9/10 food is 9.5/10 communication is 7/10 unless u are in a remote area. Worth for money is 10/10.

Suoi Tien Theme Park,
About 40mins by the number 9 bus from Ben Thanh Market Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam’s answer to Alton Towers, Suoi Tien theme park, covering over 105 hectares it has all the usual fairground amusement rides but with a twist the theme is Asian and Hindu Gods and deities.
But this review is not to highlight the parks many rides or the water world or the crocodile kingdom or the dolphin shows, but to expose the very poor living conditions of the animals in the small dirty and neglected zoo at the far end of the park.
The cages and enclosures are dirty, rusty and far too small for the creatures inside.
In particular a Sun Bear was in a cage approx 6 feet 1.8meters by 4 feet 1.2meters no food or water and no shade from the sun.
It was rocking back and forth obvious signs of distress.
I have emailed the park informing them of my concerns for the welfare of the animals, but no reply! “ info@suoitien.com”

I took my two teenage children and one very reluctant husband for a days adventure at the Suoi Tien Theme Park. I'm pleased to say - ALL had a great time.

We are Australian and it was our Boxing Day holiday (26 Dec.) where we would normally do something fun with the family for the day. Being in Saigon at the time I thought the theme park was a good choice for our national holiday celebrations.

The theme park is kind of 'whacky' and a little bit tacky but that just makes it so charming and fun. The entrance is highly decorated with everything typically Vietnamese so you immediately get the effect. The park is much much larger than we expected and almost too much to see in one day. So we recommend you go early and get the most of it with an all day long adventure - otherwise you miss out on a lot.

There are many parts to the theme park. The water park with the iconic 12 storey high statue of a King (we think) is just brilliant - we spent several hours there swimming and enjoying the water slides and wave pool. Here's a tip. Go to the water park after you have seen everything else or take a set of dry clothes to change into. We went at the start and then had to carry around wet towels and clothes all day.

Many of the rides and attractions are designed for small children but there is a good selection of rides for adults and teens - some only for the very BRAVE... The roller coaster takes only a minimum of 4 people on the ride so if there is no one else on it you will need to makes sure you find a group of 4 to be able to get tickets. Also the rides are rather 'brief' - also typical of the frugal Vietnamese culture.

There is also a great Buddhist themed area which includes some historical references and botanical garden, a zoo at the back of the park (which can be easy to miss so follow your map), the water park, and the rides area which includes a large food court and some adventure zones like rock climbing and zip lines.

Our family favorite was the 'fish massage' - probably the best I have ever had. Only 15,000 VND (15 mins) or 20,000 VND (30 mins) but they let you sit for a very long time.... The fish massage is a large (very clean and fresh) pool of water surrounded by seating where you sit and place your legs into the water. Lovely water fountains inside the pool and masses of fish of many sizes. Our first fish massage ever but we are now addicted to it.... sooooooo cool. A must do at Suoi Tien theme park.

Prices are so cheap too - entrance about 90,000 VND per adult / teen - rides about 15,000 - 30,000 VND each (about $1 or &2 dollars). The food and souvenirs also cheap.

Our tour company also kindly offered us a 'complimentary' English tour guide and driver for the day - rather than us going alone. We declined but they insisted. I must say it was worth it. We had a comfortable ride out and our tour guide (sweet and lovely young Mr. Binh) was very kind and patient. At first it was a little awkward because he had planned to show us everything in some sort of schedule but we soon agreed to just relax and wing it. We shouted him to some rides and he was the 'reluctant' (if not terrified) 4th person on the roller coaster. It was so funny to see him come off the roller coaster announcing how much fun it was. So thanks Mr. Binh for a fun day out with our family.

PS. There is also one rather large live TIGER sitting proudly on his stone table in his enclosure near the front of the park... he is just beautiful and majestic.

I have uploaded some photo's so you can see the real theme park - not the tourist brochure one.

The crocodile area is so over crowded, and you can buy meat to feed them which seems like a fun idea but often lead to people taunting them. There are cages for turtles where they are literally jammed together in the space, the bear is in a small cage pacing and crying - literally reaching out for water in the heat!, the monkeys cages have seriously fallen apart so they have nothing to swing from any more, and the space is generally unclean for all of the animals. It was honestly depressing to see them cared for so poorly. I saw a trainer raise a stick to a monkey causing him to cower in fear when the monkey was not aggressive in anyway. This lead to me to think they were possibly abused as a method of training. Would not recommend this place at all due to what I saw when it came to caring for their wildlife today.

This claims to be a Buddhist inspired theme park, it featured old run down rides, "Harry Potter Castle" which clearly was an old haunted house rebranded and animal exploitation at its fine 'Zoo' and Marine Show.

Travellers may be distracted by its gimmicky and some what comedic rides and venues however as soon as you look past all that you can see that this is nothing more then a cash grab for tourists and locals.

Upon arrival you can opt to purchase a Adult rides ticket book which covers several places throughout the park. Do not waste your money on this the rides were either shut or very underwhelming. While seated in the rides you were often secured by a seat belt...yes a literal seat belt. Rusted and frayed holding you in while you bounce or whizz around the clunky rides.

The marine show had a sea lion who was forced to perform, 2 dolphins in a 3 x 3 m pool locked up and the other 2 dolphins performing the "Show". The Zoo was also a miserable place to be, monkeys sitting around waiting for laughing tourists to hand them rubbish, a Sun bear pacing in a 5 x 5 M Cage, porcupines in cement cages, baby crocodiles stacked up in the coolest part of their cage, a sick looking peacock lying in the sun and various reptiles being the product of over breeding within the Zoo.

Food was of poor quality and extremely over priced.

I am honestly ashamed I gave my money to this theme park which clearly only cares about emptying your wallet.

Going to and from this park is very convenient from District 1. Just find the station across the Ben Thanh market, look for bus no.19, pay 6k dong each and they will drop you off in front of the park. Expect a 45min-1 hr trip as the bus takes the longer route.

Entrance fee is pretty cheap. only 90k dong.

Plenty of unique backdrops for photo opps. Ask for a free map of the park to discover every corners of it.

You may bring food and water inside. Do not forget an extra shirt, umbrella (if you mind the scorching heat of the sun) and towels. Wear you most comfortable footwear here.

Going back to district 1 is similar as going here. Take the footbridge on the left side and take bus 19.

It only costs VND50,000 to enter the park and then you can pay per ride/attraction after that. Each ride is around 10,000-20,000. There is a swim park that costs 60,000 and is soooo worth it! my suggestion would be to go around the park and do all the rides etc you want to do then go and spend the last few hours of the day cooling off in the swimming pools (complete with wave pool, kids pools, floaties to use, hydroslides and more). The rides in the park are not at all thrill rides, not even the roller (which doesn't even go upside down!). there are lots of rides for young kids and an entire young kids section of little rides. The 4D movie is in Vietnamese! and is crap, I have seen better 3D movies. We didn't see the dolphin show nor go to the alligator enclosure so I can't comment on those. Food at the park is cheap but mostly local style - you can take in anything you want and there were lots of people having picnics. Bathrooms around the park are below-par and don't have any baby changing facilities (the toilet paper is by the door when you enter the room so don't forget to grab some before you head to the cubicle). Also, be aware that local children sometimes 'adopt' foreigners with young kids trying to play with them and then trying to get you to pay for tickets to rides for them - they are hard to shake off! Also, there are LOTS of stairs to enter the park and around it so not at all stroller accessible. Also, no stroller lockup or parking is available anywhere.
We would go back here but more for the swim area than anything else.
