This is a nice little local park for an evening walk with several places, where locals dance classic dancing. In addition to this local student approach foreigners to train their English, and this is a very interesting way to learn about the city, the people, and the country. Though only sparsely lit, it is very safe and cosy.

We went for a walk through here in the late afternoon. Instantly, we got talking to a big group of locals students keen to practise their English. It was heaps of fun and a great way to get an insiders guide to Vietnam.

This park is always really dodgy day or night. Either with scam artists of junkies shooting up. Don't go there is really is not worth it.

While we like Tau Dan PArk in the morning, we also pop in this park in 1 afternoon when we were tired of walking. When we sat at the chair there, we noticed there are quite a number of people waling across. Guess that they are taking this path as short cuts or just to take a shade. It was... More

This is probably the most centrally located park in HCMC and therefore attracts a big passing crowd throughout the day. During our stay they were preparing the park for the Tet festival with many flower sellers showing off their collections for sale. They were also setting up a big stage for the shos that would on during the festival. It's... More

I was surprised to read other reviewers' positive remarks on this park. It is little more than a traffic island. I learned in Hanoi that if you visit a park in a city in Vietnam early in the morning, you will see it in a different light from the day. So this morning at 05:00 I went to visit the... More

Come every Lunar New Year or Vietnam holidays, this place will be at it's best. You will see the whole park comes to live. One can experience Vietnam All-In-One. on normal days, it's a sleepy park.

During our stay there were every day music shows. Many people attended them and they made us more familiar to Vietnamese music. One day we stopped in the park and four students started talking to us in order to improve their English. It was one of the most true experiences in our whole trip.

I "stumbled" upon this park near Ben Thanh Market. As I walked through I had a teenager approach me asking if I spoke English and if he could practice with me. I'm a single woman traveler so by nature cautious but I ended up speaking with him and his friends for about an hour. Charming. Note that there are plenty... More
