Best place for drinking, talking with girls on bar and the owner. Try saigon special. And tell, u'r a novice. They will give u a special drink!

I thought that Ice Blue had closed, but have just discovered that after 20 years in Dong Khoi street, Ice Blue has just re-opened at 24 Hai Ba Trong Street (One block away from Dong Khoi, next door to Annam Market (Fine Foods).
It's still in a very easy to get to spot, a short walking distance from the Sheraton or Hyatt hotels.
Still the best and friendliest bar in town, Mr Dung (Acceptable) will always welcome "fresh Meat" to his bar with a special drink, and the bar staff are so friendly and the drinks very cheap.
The New Ice Blue has a darts area and upstairs on the mezanine floor they have the latest electronic darts machines.
I was very impressed with the new Ice Blue, after just one or two visits it's like going to Cheers, where everybody knows your name.
It's a friendly and welcoming place that every visitor to Saigon should go to for a cold beer....

This is a small western style pub with reasonable prices (beer about 40.000, cocktail 90.000-120.000 vnd). The personnel is very friendly and english speaking. It's the kind of bar where the owner knows you by name and shakes your hand when you enter. There's free darts and a mix of western pop music and evergreens. You can sit at the bar or at a table. The vietnamese manager is proud of his beautiful collection of international beers that is exhibited behind the bar and he can tell you a story about every single bottle. If you want to do him a great favour bring him a bottle of beer from your home country that he can add to his collection.

We went here the last night of our holiday. The cocktails and beer are not expensive.
Good music, great staff and the owner is interacting with his customers. Good place to get a drink.

excellent bar, very kind staff including the bar manager and most off all the owner...you can ask him to draw a picture of you, or you can ask him to play the guitar and sing...he is very tallented man

We had a few quiet drinks here one afternoon, and upon returning after dinner the bar staff were pointing us out to someone behind the bar. The guy happened to be the owner and he drank with us for the rest of the evening (providing several free drinks). He was great entertainment and drew our pictures to add to his wall. I don't think you'd be able to identify us easily from those picture but he had imbibed a fair bit of liqueur by then.
There are nicer looking bars around but this place was comfortable with very friendly staff. Two of my best nights out in Ho Chi Minh City have been here and I'll definitely return again.

We decided to pop into Ice blue because it looked busy and fun. The staff were really friendly and we soon met a mixture of ex. pats and locals. The drinks are very reasonable at about £1.25. It closes around 1am

The IceBlue bar have shifted over to district two and the beer and the service is always good. The only problem is that from central Dong Khoi Street it is a 150,000 Dong cab ride which is almost Aud $9.I made the trip to check out if things were still good. Well the cab ride was worth it. Comparing to the old adresses,the place is at least four times as big as both of them. The tiger on tap is still cold and the food is still .very good. There is also a very good section for darts and the seating area is huge. Duong still runs a very good establishment and always makes you feel welcome. The only problem being. it is over the top of a restaurant and you have to be very careful coming down the steps. Just Google, IceBlue Pub new address.

Tried this place whilst passing by. Went in and had some beers, and a pizza. Played some darts which was fun. Went back into the bar area and the owner came and sat with us, if he says on the house, don’t be fooled! He means on your bill. We left not drunk at all but ripped off with a very hefty bill. We paid for all his drinks also. Avoid!!
