If like me you’re a coffee lover, then you’re bound to sample the famous Vietnamese egg coffee, which admittedly sounded unappealing but was a revelation. Lacaph is the place to not only sample it but also learn to make it. The quality of their coffee is excellent and it’s a lovely way to pass a few hours learning about the dark art of making their signature drink!

Nice service, best Americano I've tried. Such a unique experience to have when you visit Saigon. They also have 1 more location at 151 Dong Khoi D1, in an old apartment with a different vibe and lots of cool signature drink

I took a workshop class with teacher Vi, it was a great experience. We learned to make egg coffee in vietnam style. It is yummy. We bought some gifts to take home.

This course had me leaving with goosebumps, what a wonderful experience.
Warm atmosphere as soon as I walked in and all staff are incredibly courteous.
My course was well worth it, so interesting hearing how egg coffee came to be, my instructor Giao was enthusiastic and charming about Vietnamese coffee.
Now I'm left with the knowledge and power to make my own at home.
Well worth it, and more importantly thank you for having me. 😀

Making egg coffee was a great experience! I learned how to make the traditional Vietnamese beverage from scratch, and it was even better than I expected. The instructor was very friendly. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone interested in learning more about Vietnamese coffee culture.

I signed up for the Vietnamese coffee and culture class. I showed up and turns out was the only one who signed up for the session. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the most kind person. My instructor was Trâm and she was the best, she made the entire experience even better.
In this workshop, Trâm took me through the entire process of Lacàph coffee, from the harvest all the way to the coffee itself!
I learned a lot about Vietnamese culture and their coffee bean industry. Not many people know but Vietnam is the #2 largest producer of coffee beans. In Vietnam they grow Robusta beans which have a more earthy flavor and higher concentration of caffeine compared to Arabica coffee beans.
Together we tried different coffees and even got to test multiple senses with a small activity.
The best part was that there was obviously a lot of care and thought that went into this workshop. Even more, Trâm was so kind and we got to learn a lot about each other’s culture and food.
I have always loved Vietnames coffee so this workshop was a must for me! Thank you Trâm and Lacàph for this unforgettable experience!

Engaging guide and we were given a generous variety of coffees to brew. For our session, we brewed normal Phin coffee, ca phe muoi(coffee with salt) and their special lacaph con panna (a dessert coffee with cream on top). We were also given the chance to try egg coffee! 10/10 would recommend.

Very insightful & interesting history of Vietnamese coffee. Trãm Anh was a very sweet and knowledgeable coffee guide. Definitely would recommend this coffee class to anyone visiting Saigon.
