I searched long and hard for a good waxing place in Saigon and have finally found a gem. I had a negative experience at another salon which got good reviews and kept trying to find a review of waxing for Indochine but couldn't see any on Tripadvisor, in the end I just decided to book and hope for the best. I'm so glad I did as the staff are absolutely lovely. The manager was there when I arrived and knew who I was instantly. She greeted me personally and gave me her card and told me to ask if there was anything at all I needed, a very nice touch. The other two ladies at reception were also amazingly friendly and polite. They brought me a lovely cup of cold (i think green) tea and a towel before my wax which was very refreshing. The building is lovely inside and smells divine as they burn lots of scented candles etc. The room I was in for my waxing was a single room with no windows so very private which is what you want when you're having a full leg and full bikini wax. The lady who performed the waxing was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable throughout, I have to say it was the most relaxing waxing experience I've ever had, I really though I'd nod off at one point...not what you'd normally expect. The room was very quiet, I wasn't bothered at all by any traffic noise which other reviewers have commented on. The wax was very thorough and the therapist kept checking that she'd got all the hairs possible. The leg wax was done with a roll-on wax and the bikini with hot wax and spatulas, I was very pleased to note that there was no 'double-dipping', the therapist always replaced the spatulas after one use. Following the was I was offered a seat back in the lovely reception area and was given a complementary cup of hot lemon and ginger tea with dried fruit candies, very nice indeed! All in all this was a great experience and as I live in Saigon I'll definitely be making this my regular place for waxing and other beauty requirements. Also, forgot to mention before but there are safes in the rooms for your personal belongings which is great if you're concerned about security.

I've gotten waxed at three other high-end spas in Ho Chi Minh City. So far, Indochine Spa has been my best experience. I'm tempted to stop trying new places and just stick with them every month now!

My therapist, Phụng, didn't make me feel rushed at all and made sure I was comfortable and at ease the entire time. Without any prompting or requests from me, she showed me where the toilet and shower was, and told me to take my time getting ready. The facilities are very clean, luxurious, and well-stocked. I was provided with a robe to change into.

I didn't have to complain about the wax being too hot AT ALL. But just to make sure I wasn't suffering in silence, Phụng took care to ask me if the temperature was okay every once in a while.

She was really efficient and quick. She only had to wax each area once, and the whole procedure took maybe fifteen minutes tops. However, she was also very thorough. She made sure that all the hair was removed.

Afterward, I was treated to tea and candied ginger and coconut. I was invited to take my time relaxing, and wasn't urged to hurry up and pay the bill or hurry up and leave.

Although the procedure itself was very quick, with the shower and relaxing, I was there for about an hour.

It was a wonderful experience, and so reasonably-priced. Only 525.000 VND! All prices include tax and a tip for the therapist, although you can give your therapist a separate tip as well. Last time I got waxed, it cost me 820.000 VND.

Was there yesterday for their 3 hr 50 mins Signature treatment. The experience was most disappointing. The therapist had a very poor attitude. The serene environment was destroyed by her constantly and noisily moving around in the room. Whenever she used the towel to cover me up, there was always parts of the limbs uncovered and exposed to the cold air. At one stage, while using the hot stones to massage, one of the stones went flying across the room. Indochine Spa is known to be one of the best spas in HCM but, with such a therapist, it has delivered the worst experience possible. With many other choices in HCM, I will not step into Indochine Spa again.

I went here two times and both times I was man-handled by the technician during the wax. She was not gentle and went very fast. She did not tuck my skin before ripping the wax off, which made the experience painful. She also did not pull the wax off in the opposite direction of hair growth so the hair was not fully pulled out and quickly grew a few days after. The upside is atleast she does not double-dip the wax. I am looking for another wax place in HCM.

This is the worst massage but the most expensive one I've ever had! I don't know why the rate is so high in TripAdvisor! I've done a lot of massage in Asia, and this is definitely not what I should deserve at this price!! I've checked the rating in TripAdvisor and went there for the Thai massage. During the massage, the woman who massaged me kept chatting with the other one who did for my companion. And it's ok for them to chat. I don't have problem with that. However, while they were chatting, they stopped the massage! They paused for the chat!!! And I asked for a strong massage, but what I've got was just like her touching all over my body without any skill or relaxing. And Thai massage should contain a lot of stretching, but if she thinks that movements or acts are too difficult or hard to get to the position, she will change to another one at a half point! So it will be awkward because this movement didn't finish, and I didn't get the therapeutic effect of it. She just changed to another one suddenly! So it's like my leg should be stretched to very straight and high, but she found it take her a lot of strength. So when my leg was lifted half point on the way, she just put it down and asked me to lay down instead of finishing this whole process. The worst part is that the duration of the massage was less than the duration that it should be! We saw the clock in the room, and it's definitely not what they said it was! And we mentioned it after the treatment, because we should pay a different amount of money for the less duration which also was written in the menu. They kept arguing with us, and twisted the truth. At the end, they finally agreed but gave us a very bad expression. They even forget (or pretend to forget) to gave us back our shoes for us to change. It was a very awful experience, and that was our last night in Ho Chi Minh City. I thought we could go home with really great memory but this spa ruined everything!

I went to this place as well as My Spa on my one day stay in Ho Chi Minh City. This place is super convenient to Ben Thanh Market and I would recommend visiting if you are near the market. I got cold tea and ginger candy while I waited for my massage. I signed up for the 60 minute Vietnamese massage. My masseuse was petite, polite, and spoke limited English. I had a private room and a locker. After changing into a pair of boxers and lying down, my masseuse climbed on my back. Since she was petite, this felt sensual. She offered three styles - soft to hard - I chose medium. For her size, she was still amazingly strong and I received a thoroughly enjoyable massage. It was nice that she asked if too much pressure was applied. I think this place wins for decor and ambience and gives you a great massage, but I preferred My Spa for the more invigorating massage at a lower price point. You'll do well with either though.

I really wanted to like this place, staff so lovely and beautiful set up but in all honesty it's been a horror. Got a Brazilian wax and they don't pull the skin tight result is light surface skin was pulled off my labia, so painful it hurt to shower or walk. I've been regularly waxing for years and have never been in so much pain after. In all honesty I would have rather bothered with the hassle of shaving or pubic hair sticking out on the Beach to have avoided such pain afterwards.

My partner and I wanted to get some pampering and enquired about the package for couples. They only had a him and her version so the receptionist went to ask her manager. So far so good. She returned to say that it was "for couples only, man and woman" and when I explained again that we were a couple she just laughed nervously and pointed us to the solo male package. Rather than spend my money in a place that can't be flexible about these things just like we were prepared to be, (e.g. do the male package together) We decided to take our custom elsewhere. I'd recommend you do the same

Such a professional and deluxe spa. We had a 3 1/2 hour package of massage/facial/pedicure. Started with a steam shower and foot rub while sipping herbal teas. When you are finished you get fresh squeezed juices and dried fruit snacks. It is one of the best spas we have ever been to and definitely the best massage. A little pricier than some others - but worth every extra dollar.

We visited the spa (www.indochine-spa.com) on 3rd June 2011 after researching on the web and also because we visited the excellent tailor right next door to them (Tuyen Tailors - saves time and travelling by having spa and tailoring at the same time!), not to mention walking distance to Ben Thanh market which almost every tourist will visit.

It is a brand new opened spa (Jan 2011) by a japanese lady based in HCMC.

We chose the couple package, Everlasting (Him & Her package) for 3 hours. which starts off with a standard bath, steam sauna (temperature electronically controlled, mechanical steam - not simply heated stones which you dump water on) , body scrub (choice of coffee and bamboo!), aromatic oil massage (high quality massage oil which you can really smell and lingers - unlike other spas which uses inferior oil which only gives a very slight scent hint). This is something which I personally appreciate - they are not cutting corners.

Followed by a facial - the whole works from cleansing, scrub, exfoliation, cold cream moisturizing (?). It is just amazing. My wife had some sort of a high tech facial machine used on her, supposedly to remove the skin impurities. Whatever it is, she enjoyed it very much. We ended the spa with a really nice hot jacuzzi, cold after-spa drink, all in very nicely decorated spa ambience.

If you want the good old tingling feel good sensations again, go for this.

We have tried spas in bali, phuket, bangkok, bintan, siem reap..etc and have to say that the masseuse, in comparison, are extremely well-trained, disciplined and devotes great attention to detail, knows what they are doing and knows it very well. Very professional. How does infochine spa train them / recruited them we will never know.

As a token of appreciation we tipped the masseuse roughly 10% of the bill. It is strictly not obligatory, but we felt good doing so. (body scrub using bamboo or coffee particulate with bare hands is tough on their hands! - although for me myself scrub gloves will do just fine too)

Last but not least is the pricing. It is transparent. The prices are stated on their website and you don't have to pay any hidden extras. Don't have to visit them, call them, haggle with them. And for the quality, it offers excellent value over much more expensive spas.

Fantastic spa - highly recommended.
