The Vespa trip from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta was an interesting way to experience the area's local culture and daily life. Riding through HCMC's traffic was a notable part of the journey, especially coming from Indonesia, where traffic conditions are similar.
An unexpected part of the trip was riding on fixed roads, which seemed to be a regular part of local travel but stood out to me. It felt like a small connection to the routines of local life, something that isn't usually highlighted in typical tourist experiences.
Visiting the markets in the Mekong Delta provided a clear view of local life. The visit offered a direct look at how people in the region live and work daily. The atmosphere was different from more curated tourist sites and felt genuine.
The itinerary was well-planned, though it would have been beneficial to have more opportunities to interact with locals. Such interactions could have added more depth to the trip by providing a better understanding of their lifestyle and culture.
A big shoutout to our guide, Sunny, who was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the trip, making the experience smoother and more informative. Thanks also to our Vespa drivers, CNam and Ty, who ensured we navigated safely and comfortably.
Overall, the Vespa ride from HCMC to the Mekong Delta was a practical way to observe the area's everyday life and landscape, offering a different perspective than more traditional tours.

This Vespa foodie tour was one of the best experiences we had in Saigon. Even in the pouring rain, our drivers (C. Nam and Lui) along with our guide (Tom) took complete and total care of us. We were provided with super-sized ponchos and had a great time zipping through Saigon on what was both a night excursion and street food adventure. Tom made sure to take loads of pictures and videos for us as we ate and drank our way across the city! The tour ended with a stop at a Vietnamese-style coffee shop with live music and dancing. We totally recommend this tour and would do it again in a heartbeat.

A hilarious & fun tour around Saigon! Navi our guide & my Vespa driver Tata were exceptional. Navi was high energy and excitement ensuring everyone was having a great time, with informative stories along the way. Tour began with a drink on a rooftop bar overlooking the lights of the city. Next stop a great seafood restaurant. The food was divine, highly recommend the crab legs & “jumping chicken”. Followed by our next location which was more street food with Vietnamese pancake. Last stop was a Vietnamese bar with live music and cocktails.
12 on the tour broken into groups of 4 each with a guide and leaving at different times so definitely not a tour with the masses. Couldn’t recommend this enough.

Nghia (our guide) and our 2 expert Vespa riders (Thang and Son) gave us a fantastic time. We visited 5 different venues - a trendy rooftop bar where we enjoyed cocktails at sunset with views right across the city, a trip across the river to a street restaurant specialising in seafood, then it was a trip to sample Bahn Xeo (where Nghia showed us how to roll the crispy pancake in fresh green leaves), then to a tiny music venue for coffee before cocktails to round off the evening at 6E1 a bar with a live rock band.
Criss-crossing the city on the back of a scooter was an unforgettable experience with the amazing numbers of other bikes obeying no obvious traffic rules but somehow missing each other. But we felt quite safe all the time.
Nghia was a brilliant and very informative host with excellent English. We thoroughly recommend this to anyone who wants to experience the real Saigon and visit the sort of places you wouldn't otherwise discover. Nghia also called ahead to adapt the food order to suit vegetarian.

We entrusted Vespa Adventures with our first evening in Ho Chi Minh city - it was a highlight of our time in Vietnam!
Our guide Ma Dup made us feel very at home and welcome as we traveled round the city, trying some delicious local food and enjoying live music as we went. Despite the chaotic traffic we felt very safe riding with Mr Hau and Mr Cuong and want to thank them for looking after us as we toured the city.
If you're thinking about tasting the city's food look no further!

Probably the best experience we’ve had. It was a family thing with my 10 and 13 year old. Safe, fun, exhilarating. My wife and kids are vegan and they were well catered for. The food was exceptional as was being able to experience the organised chaos of Saigon. Our guide Trang made sure everything was spot on and my driver Teo was great and reassuring (easy for a westerner to feel anxious). What a great way to experience Saigon / HCMC. We visited a great seafood restaurant and the oldest Bahn Xeo place ending in a live music bar. So so fun. Highly recommended.

Exhilarating, authentic & professional
On the last day of our vacation we took a “taste of the Mekong delta “ day tour from Saigon. Collected at our hotel by knowledgeable guide Alina , we sped out of Saigon on vintage vespas - we’ve been watching the amazing moped driving in Vietnam for 3 weeks and now it was time to take part - the tour was exciting through the traffic, peaceful in the off road sections as we approached the delta & punctuated with coffee breaks and visits to small factories, a market, temple, and street food vendors. We didn’t see any fellow tourists and felt fully submerged in authentic local culture. My driver Dana was an absolute Ace, I felt safe at all times and he was amazingly skilful weaving through the traffic and avoiding potholes - thanks for a magic last day in Vietnam. I can really recommend this tour.

These Vespa food tours in Ho Chi Minh City truly offer an incredible way to experience the city vibrant street food culture. The combination of riding a vintage Vespa through the lively streets and indulging in authentic Vietnamese cuisine is both thrilling and immersive. Each tour operator brings something, whether the intimate local knowledge, the handpicked food stops, or the engaging storytelling.
It is so impressive how these tours not only showcase amazing dishes but also create unforgettable cultural experiences. Sunn Y passion, attention to detail, and warm hospitality make these tours stand out. A big compliment to all the teams who work hard to offer such a seamless and enjoyable adventure for US.

The Saigon by night food tour was the highlight of our trip to HCM . Our guide Julie N was fantastic and the drivers were all courteous and helpful. The rooftop bars had great views of the city and the places we went to eat were off the beaten track which we would never have found without a guide

Ottima.
Per qualsiasi cosa son qui.

Does your tour include travel insurance cover as a passenger on the Vespa motorbikes?
Written August 9, 2018
Unsure but we didnt take out any special insurance as I think travel insurance covered it anyway. You could check with Vespa themselves as they are very reliable at answering any questions you may have.

Do you run day time or later afternoon tours? Our kids are 6 and 8 and can’t stay out too late! Can a child and adult go together on one bike? Thx.
Written August 5, 2018
Hi ! Thanks for your question. We provide morning (8am-12am), afternoon (1pm-5pm) and evening (6pm-10pm) tours, all are family friendly! But we can always be flexible and adjust the time according what our customers require!
Have a nice day :)

Hi. What age can passengers be on your bikes? We are a family of five with 3 kids age 7, 10 and 13. We would all love to do a night food tour on motor bikes in July next year. Thanks Cilla

Hi Cilla! Thanks a lot for your interest in our tours.
That's right, there's no age limit. Kids have a great time on our tours, it's perfectly safe and it will be an adventure that will keep them talking for weeks after your trip, guaranteed! They love being on the back of the Vespas.

Hi thanks for posting your great review. I'm heading over to Saigon in 2 weeks with my 17 year old and 11 year old. We want to take one of the Vespa tours - which one did you do? Have already booked a dinner cruise, mekong river day and chi chi tunnel day.
