You don't need to know anything about traditional medicine to appreciate the rare collections of pictures and artefacts stored in this old town house as an impromptu private museum. Yes, it is owed by a herb company but they are very cool and unobtrusive about it, a real must when in HCMC, loved it !

The tools of traditional Vietnamese medicine are presented. The old tools and the decoration of the building exude a special atmosphere.

A hidden little gem in ho chi minh city in a beautiful 5 storey building. I really wasn't expecting as much as what I got when I stepped into the museum. All inside is beautifully hand carved ornate wooden decoration all over the walls, ceiling, and everywhere you looked. There is so much info on tradional medicine you can spend atleast an hour or two here. They have so many things on display it's easy to get lost inside and it's definitely worth a visit. I even got a lovely herbal tea to try at the end of my visit.

Outstanding museum about Vietnamese medicine. See how traditional medicine in Vietnam has evolved over the years, with exhibits dating back to the stone age! Well worth a visit. Concluded with a cup of lotus and reishi mushroom tea!

I came to visit in early 2020, the architecture is unique with the eye-catching carvings and mother-of-pearl inlays. Diverse collection with medicinal tools in Eastern medicine
They provide guided tours, very knowledgeable and helpful. After the tour, you can drink free tea and shop tea. They're very beautiful flavor

This was the highlight of my short stay in HCMC. I love oriental culture and furnishings and was delighted that the museum was furnished in ancient Chinese style. Even the lift was furnished with Chinese wood cravings and engraved with Chinese poems!

I learned a lot about how Vietnamese learned from traditional Chinese medicine practitioners and adapted it to their own. Being a Chinese, I could also see the similarities. The guide well-verse in the history of Vietnamese traditional medicine, could explain some of the phrases in Chinese and it was very enlightening. Would recommend anyone interested in medicine and the orientals to go!

The FITO Museum was highlight in HCMC during my solotrip to Vietnam. Building itself was quait sightseeing and every room was full of intresting medical history. Walls were covered with beautiful paintings and drawings of herbs used to cure different diseases, lot of handmade containers where these herbs were preserved and facilities to collect, prepare and use these herbs. The Museum had introducing papers in english too. Also they offered to taste some tea and had little farmacy on the first floor.

This was an interesting museum, with a tour conducted in English, depicting the history of Vietnamese medicine and its development.

We explored different artifacts throughout the 5 floors and were amazed at the large variety of plants and herbs which were used.

Downstairs is a small pharmacy where you have the opportunity to purchase different teas and other medicines
