Some beautiful buildings and great shopping opportunities. Be careful of bags, cameras etc however as even though wide footpaths, bikes are known to drive along snatching bags etc as they go.

Good shopping and restaurants surrounded by the best hotels. Good atmosphere and fun place to be. Bought some great table clothes and kids clothes. There are some really high quality products available in HCM.

Great shops, modern and old, coffee-and tea houses, Grand Hotel, all a bit pricy, but very safe. Good Pho restaurant and other Vietnamese restaurants in side streets, definitely worth a visit.

Some nice old colonial hotels and public buildings with some decent shops. Gives a decent feel of how Saigon was in colonial times.
