I can highly recommend this company. Very professional from the moment we booked, always answering our questions promptly. We had a brilliant guide Tha who was such fun and very professional. We did a 7 day cycle tour around the Mekong delta which took us as far as the coast and also the Cambodian border. Each day was different from the last and took us through beautiful vegetation and scenery. I really feel we got a good insight in to the real Vietnam. The hotels we stayed in ranged from basic to luxury, depending on the area we were in. Plenty of opportunities to try the food and local snacks. Cycling ranges from 2 hours tob6 hours a day, depending on itinerary. A well organised trip.

We (a group of four, plus our guide and driver) spent four days cycling the Mekong Delta with our excellent guide, Tha Ra. We took routes that he had developed himself, using his extensive local knowledge of the area. We spent a lot of time cycling through different farming communities, visiting farms and tasting the excellent local fruit and roadside snacks. We also spent lots of time on ferries, which added great variety to the trip! We would never have been able to complete a trip like this without Tha's guidance. We were also very happy to have the support vehicle traveling with us when one of our company got sick -- he was able to take it easy for a day or two to recover, but still meet up with us throughout the day. Also, Tha did a great job accommodating the vegan member of our group. The bikes were in excellent shape and very comfortable for the variety of roads that we traveled on.
I am still dreaming about fresh pressed sugar cane juice with kumquats!
I can't wait to go back to visit Cambodia!

We have come back from the most amazing four days with Mr Ky and Mr Vu! We did the DMZ tour, visiting many historical sites and learning a lot about the history of Vietnam through the years. The cycling each day was incredible, lots of variety (some days we rode flat rides where we could admire the scenery and see the country life in Quang Tri and the Hue suburbs, one day the riding was intense as we rode the Ho Chi Minh trail but the views along the way were certainly worth the effort!). It was a pleasure to be on the tour with Ky and Vu - the planning each day was meticulous and lots of thought from them both went into making sure we got the most out of each day. We had a great time riding, trekking and touring museums with Mr Ky, and at every stop Mr Vu was ready and waiting with snacks, cold drinks, towels and everything that we needed. We also enjoyed the local food and Mr Ky helped us to try some foods we wouldn't have known to order but were amazing! We cannot recommend doing this tour enough (and many other tours are available with this company if the DMZ itinerary doesn't suit) and if either or both of Ky and Vu are your guide or driver for your trip I can assure you you will be in very safe hands and well looked after! We will look to do more tours with VCT when we next return to Vietnam!

My husband and I took the day trip bike tour from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta. Our guide, Cong, was wonderful - very friendly and informative about the area. The riding was fun and we saw temples, a factory where rice and coconut are transformed into different food products, a floating market and a lot of beautiful scenery. We stopped for fresh fruit as a snack and then had a delicious lunch at a lovely restaurant overlooking a lake in Ca Be. I would heartily recommend this trip to anyone who likes to bicycle ride and wants to see a less touristy view of the Mekong Delta region.

4 of us booked Vietnam Backroads to do some cycling starting from HCMC and finishing up at Phu Quoc over a 4 day period. A mix of cycling and van with enough time to take in some local cultural visits. Our Guide was extremely knowledgeable, and good fun. Having the van with a driver within reach of us also made it very easy. Arrangements were well managed and the whole trip was a great experience

For our 3 day trip we cycled through the Mekong Delta by routes that only a person with local knowledge would be able to find which is why the Guide was so important.
Our trip was extremely well and professionally organised by Van.
Our guide, Hoang, managed to be delightful company, full of interesting knowledge about history, natural history and culture while dealing with safety and our daily needs most professionally. He would stop at local points of interest - Pagodas, rice mill, orange farm and much more to explain how it worked.
Our transport driver, Bat Bot, who took us to starting/meeting points was quite amazing in terms of his consideration and care throughout the trip.
I con highly recommend this company for a well organised, interesting, value for money trip through Vietnam.

We did the 3-day Mekong delta cycling tour with our family (2 adults, 2 boys of 11 and 12 years old). Our guide was Dat. We had a super trip. Cycling was great, bikes excellent and Dat was the best guide we had in Vietnam. I highly recommend the 3-day cycling trip in the Mekong Delta by Vietnam Backroads/Vietnam cycling tours!!

Enjoyed a fantastic 16day cycling and touring adventure from Hanoi to Dalat/HCMC with Vietnam Backroads. (10days cycling)
Our guide Mr Dat was excellent - friendly, professional, and calm and we really appreciated the way in which the tour was customized along the way, with cycling length and timeframes adapted to suit. (most days circa 60 - 70km) Equally everything appeared to run to run very smoothly and to plan which was very impressive.
The mix of terrain, scenery, sights, and food! was awesome and gave us a great snap shot of this incredible country.
A big thank you to Vietnam Backroads for a wonderful experience (first international trip post pandemic and one to remember!)

We went on an excellent 10 day cycling tour of the Mekong delta. We had an excellent guide who is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of his country. We learned so much and got a real feel of the region. We found the weather rather hot for us from northern canada and our guide was able to be flexible with the cycling to enjoy it in the morning, have a rest at the hotels after lunch and then instead of the afternoon ride he took us on walking tours of the towns and found us delicious street food. He went out of his way to help us get the type of experience that we were looking for. If we ever go back to Vietnam we would definitely book a tour with them again and see more of this wonderful country. We always felt safe and well looked after, the bikes were in excellent condition and we had no issues with them. The whole tour was well organized by the company and all went smoothly even with the last minute changes

We did a private 4-day bike tour in the Mekong Delta. This took us along the many branching canals on mostly tarred or concrete paths, where only motorbikes and bicycles traveled. A few times we used ferries across the Mekong, which was very nice. On this tour, our guide Bao led us through beautiful landscapes with rice fields, palm-lined river banks and jungle. In between there were always houses of the local population. Thanks to our very communicative guide, we easily came into contact with the local population and he gave us many interesting insights into their lives. The meals were in local, simple restaurants that were only frequented by locals. Accordingly, we were able to try various very original "local dishes" with our guide, which was sometimes a bit challenging for us.
The exchange with our guide about the country, people and customs was very interesting. We felt safe and well accompanied by Bao at all times.
We can warmly recommend both the organization and our guide Bao.

Do you have tandem bikes as my husband is blind but would like to cycle

Please quote a complete bike tour from two adults from Sai Gon to wherever we will take a boat to Phu Quoc island. Please include lodging, meals, bike rental and an English speaking guide. Also, please include the cost of a boat to Phu Quoc which we will pay separately from the tour.
