The zoo would have to be just above average but is still worth a visit. Not a great range of animals, but then again who wants to see animals taken from their natural enviroments and locked up in cages or pens for human entertainment.

The Dai Nam Zoo was truly an unforgettable experience, but not in a good way. The animals were enclosed in small spaces, they looked uncared for and all the exhibits were tired and dated.

We went to walk around the Botanical Gardens and were not impressed with the gardens or the Zoo. The animal enclosures were very small and most of the animals did not look in good condition. Generally run down.

Though it was more than a hour drive from the airport, you will get to do a lot of things in the park. It's so big! better come early so you'll get to enjoy it. Renting a bike is advisable. :)
