About
Hidden Saigon takes you down hidden alleyways and into long forgotten buildings. Delve deeper into the everyday life of the Saigonese people. We meet culture makers, local residents, cafe owners in their studios, rehearsal spaces, shops, workspaces to learn about what it's like working, living and creating in modern day Saigon.

Linh was our guide on the "Other than Pho" tour. Her sharing of her personal history of leaving Saigon as a child and returning as an adult made it even more interesting and meaningful. We ate at 3 great places, including one that was down an alley and felt like eating with the locals. Our Vietnamese coffee tour was excellent and even those in our party who are not big coffee fans loved the special drinks and education. We also appreciated having the time to shop and seeing a real working market. Having an air conditioned van rather than scooters meant we were cool and safe between stops, which was even better. We would definitely choose this tour or others by the same company. Thanks Linh!

The trip was a combination of foodie heaven and culture vulture! Absolutely loved trying all the different kinds of foods and getting to meet a pre-war artist who continues her craft till today! Such incredible and amazing experiences I’ll never forget. Linh is such an amazing host and guide - so chill and so personable. Her own personal story touched my heart.

We only had half a day to spend with Linh and wished we could spend more time with her. We learned about her family and background. We visited the Chinese market and then a resident of a beautiful old French building. She invited us into her home she shared her life story and we saw her apartment. We then visited the home of two artists and learned about their lives and saw their amazing art.
It is so wonderful to get to meet the people that make up the real Saigon.
Linh knew that we had not had a chance to visit Central Vietnam and took us to lunch at a restaurant that served this cuisine.
This tour was the highlight of our visit to Saigon. We will definitely recommend the tour to others and will do a tour with her again when we return.
The tour is customizable to your interests. No two tours are exactly the same. You need to arrange and share your interests with Linh prior to the tour.

My daughter Rachel arranged this tour for she and I and we had a wonderful day. Linh tailors the tour to your interests. We saw a huge old local market and then visited a family home in the Chinese quarter where we talked, through an interpreter, to a lovely lady about her family and its history. This was followed by a wonderful authentic lunch and then onto a coffee house where we not only sampled the goods but got a talk about the developing coffee growing here. All in all a really great day.

Linh Phan is amazing. She personally designs each tour to match the interests of her clients. The groups are always small, 4-6 people . Linh designed a tour that highlighted the Tet holiday. We visited the wet market and the flower show. Played a traditional Tet Game at the home of a local family who served us coffee and gave us traditionally treats. The end tWent to a restaurant where we made Bahn Tet cakes. Had wonderful street food for lunch. We were never rushed. Our tour ended when we were finished, no end time was given. We were with Linh and her assistant for about six hours. By the end of the day we felt that we had made new friends.
If you can take only one tour , call Linh.

An entertaining and stimulating half-day that gives you a fresh insight into Saigon - not just today's creative scene but, thanks to Linh's personal history, an understanding of the past as well. Really friendly group with Linh making sure everyone's looked after, which makes the whole thing so much more than a formulaic tourist activity.

Linh did a phenomenal job on our recent Hidden Saigon tour. She specifically tailored the tour to match our interests and introduced us to people/food/places that we would not have found on our own. It was one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences from our trip to Vietnam. We would definitely recommend any Hidden Saigon tour.

I was fortunate enough to go on a private (unplanned) Noodles That Are Not Pho tour with Linh. As I discovered with most things in Saigon, you have to be flexible with the ever-changing rhythm of the city. The first two stops on the tour were unfortunately closed, but Linh was quick on her feet. On the cab ride to the next stop, she showed me a photo book of her family. It was intimate and unexpected, but it made the tour all the more interesting to see her history and the circuitous path she took out of the country...and then back home many years later.

By the end of the tour, I was satiated both in my belly and my mind. Linh, her driver, and another guide were super accommodating and even provided recommendations for other cities I would be visiting in Vietnam. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see an off-the-beaten path version of Ho Chi Minh City and experience all the cultural and culinary delights beyond beef noodle soup.

After a long flight and a hectic time at the airport my wife and I were wondering if we had made the right decision in scheduling this tour a few hours after we arrived. We were very pleasantly surprised that it was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Linh provided a very friendly and professional tour that was one of the highlights of our trip. Each part of the trip was very well coordinated and the transportation was excellent and communication was effortless . The staff at each location was very knowledgeable and seemed eager to share their endeavors as well as answer our questions. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who would like to have a truly memorable experience

Linh Phan's (the owner) mission is to give you an experience that plugs you into the local scene in Vietnam. She wants to connect you to the varied 'stories' of the people here and she begins with her own tale. I have a strong interest in art, coffee, wine, food and travel - and thus far I've been to the home/studio of two professional artists and was able to chat with them about their work and how it was impacted by the war; received a demonstration on locally grown Vietnamese coffee by very skilled baristas; spent a great morning with a Chinese-Vietnamese citizen in her generational apartment talking about how her family celebrates Tet and playing a traditional New year's game; was guided at a local restaurant to make my own bahn tet 'cake' for the new year; sampled several different local dishes throughout our tours and the list goes on... Linh, her translator, and her driver pack a lot of interest and fun into our half day tours. Looking forward to the next excursion we have booked with her for this month.
