We did a one day bike trip to the cu chi tunnels. Our great experience startet allready before booking, since VietnamByBike answered all our questions fast and precise by email. We went on the trip, got picked up at pur hotel and drove 1-2 hours out of ho chi minh. Nice air conditioned bus.
Bikes were really good moutainbikes, well maintained and easy to adjust the height. Also possible to borrow biking helmet. Our guide Phuc spoke very well english and had great knowledge about the area and vietnamese history. The route was small roads, with little traffic. Mostly flat.
After 35 km biking we got picked up by the van again. Greated with ice cold soft drinks. Afterwards nice vietnamese lunch at a restaurant near the cu chi tunnels, and visited the tunnels in the afternoon, which made it a lot less crowded than in the morning.
Great day trip, price 88 USD pr person, we can only recommend this trip!

This was our second trip with Vietnam By Bike, and it was even better than the first. My wife and I live in Hanoi, and 2 years ago we joined some visiting friends on a 4 day trip in the Mekong. When other friends planned a trip here and wanted to do a bike trip we suggested this one and said it was so great we would do it again. And again Vietnam By Bike exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. Very responsive during all the planning stages and then during the trip they ensured we had the best experience down to the last detail. We were lucky enough to get Mr. Ut as our guide again, and he shared his vast knowledge of all the local sights and customs and life.

We threw a twist at the company because our friends have a one and a half year old daughter, but the company handled everything without a problem. They have nice carbon cannondale mountain bikes and they also provided a very safe and comfortable baby seat. Mr. Ut knows all the back roads and trails in the region and so would adjust our route on the fly, shortening if the baby got tired and of course finding every great place to sample food between Ha Tien and Can Tho. Even though we rode many kilometers, I think we gained weight on the trip.

We will be back again. Thanks Ut.

I just looked back on our memories via pictures of the trip from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh through Cambodia with Natt, Lucky, Leo and Ut as our guides (who were very knowledgeable and helpful, by the way).

We chose this company trough our corporate Christian Tour in Romania.
We were a team of 12 and had the greatest touring ever along with the beautiful local people and landscape. In the beginning we enjoyed 2 rest days to accommodate the jet lag and then rode 12 days (sic!) trough an amazing landscape - from the urban jungle of Bangkok to the real jungles of Thailand and Cambodia and trough the wonderful Vietnam.
The service was very good in general and excellent/premium in some occasions with different type of experienced accommodation of hotels and a home-stay.
The biking routes were carefully chosen with an average distance of 60 km per day.
The support team was very helpful with 2 minivans in Thailand, a bus and a mini truck in Cambodia and Vietnam - for the transfer zones.

This great experience will be always alive with me (I can't believe 4 month passed already) and I hope with all my heart that I'll come back soon.

I definitely recommend Vietnam By Bike Travel!

This was a 10 day cycling tour Angkor Wat to Siagon through Vietnam by bike .I really don’t know what to say but Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. My wife had wanted to do this cycling trip through Cambodia and Vietnam for over 15 years. We decided to do it for our 30 Anniversary and had some of the best experiences of our lives. Starting with Kuysin greeting us at airport, guide to hotel and of course Vuthy and Sambath. Vuthy took us on some amazing adventures through the temples of Cambodia, jungles and through villages where everyone was so friendly. It’s amazing how the children are so happy with a wave and hello and not expecting anything. The floating village on Tonle Sap Lake was incredible to see. Our rides were perfectly paced and breaks were perfectly timed, with Sambath providing great snacks, fruit and water. Every day seemed to get better and we learned so much from Vuthy‘s Knowledge of Cambodian life that would take years and dedication to learn . Temples, villages, silk farm, Floating village, I could keep going on but I need to thank The Vietnam team as well, Ut welcoming us with a nice What’s App when we entered but then we met Loc Ly and his driver Tong . Loc sensed early we didn’t like crowds and kept us away from busy tourists areas and made sure we saw the great sights before the crowds arrived. He took us on great trails through villages, canals, forests and past rice fields , to an island stay . Loc also took us on a couple boat rides and we ended the trip with a beautiful night cruise supper. Loc shared his passion and great knowledge with us that would take years to learn. We are extremely grateful for all the wonderful things we were shown and experienced. , Cobra wine, , puffed rice, coconut candy making, rice refinery and much more. Taking us to delicious local restaurants to experience true Vietnamese food. These guides went far and above our expectations. What we learned from these guides cannot be learned anywhere else and the experiences they provided are priceless. Another review gave a 6 out of a 5 star review but I say 5.999999999 / 5 . 9 is said to be lucky and I wish nothing but the best for my new friends as they are not just guides anymore they are like brothers. Wishing them all a healthy and prosperous New Year. I do also wish to say the hotels we stayed at were all excellent and had kind staff and were able to communicate with us as we could only speak English.

We spend 4 days biking the Mekong Delta with our private bicycle guide Leo. We saw very different area’s with all kind of agriculture, the floating market, temples and more. With the van somewhere near, we never biked more than we wanted. Leo is a perfect guide: his English is very good, he is nice and discreet. We had a wonderful time.

We had great rides with our guide Leo in Mekong delta far from the busy places.
We rode 80km without seeing any tourists, enjoying the countryside and the nice local food. The trip included floating market and several boat trips to cross the river.

Our first holidays to Vietnam in September was super impressive thanks to Vietnam By Bike. They were quite flexible with our request. We loved their people, food, history. Our guide Dy gave us an in-depth look into this cultural variety. We really enjoyed their off-road journey. We just come back again with them in December to do Cambodia and it totally exceeds our expectation. Highly recommend everyone to this world-best tour operator.

We (a group of 4 people from Australia and Germany) have booked a trip with Vietnam by Bike from Siem Reap in Cambodia to Saigon in Vietnam. The trip included 5 cycling days in Cambodia and 4 cycling days in Vietnam plus one day break in Phnom Penh). Average km per day were around 45 km.

In both countries we have had pretty good mountain bikes from Trek. Throughout the trip we were accompanied by a van carrying our luggage and bikes if needed. When one of us had difficulties with the climate or his own condition the van was always nearby so that we felt safe at any time.

The driver prepared typical snacks when having a break and always had ice cold water or a beer at hand. And of course tissues to wipe off our sweat.

This trip has exceeded our expectations in all dimensions. The cycling trails were very interesting providing us with lots of insights into how people in Cambodia and Vietnam live and work in the rural areas of their countries.

We got to know the famous temples of Angkor Wat and our guides Sin (in Cambodia) and Kim (in Vietnam) gave us lots of interesting information on history, culture, people, food, etc.

Next to Sin and Kim there was Ut. He is such a likeable person. Ut anticipated what we needed even before we knew. Ut accompanied us throughout the whole tour and always made sure that everybody could cope with the length of cycling and the level of difficulty. He was always cycling at the end, so the weakest person in the group always felt looked after.

When returning back to our mountain bike after visiting a site, Ut made sure that our water bottles were filled up with fresh and cold water, that the bikes were standing in the right direction and technically ok.

The guys from Vietnam by Bike live and love what they are doing. It is fascinating to see their passion for making our trip a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

When booking the tour we thought we had booked bikes, helmets, one guide and a van for transportation, but there was so much more included which we didn‘t expect like visiting multiple production sites for silk, rice, coconut, tofu, fruit harvesting, etc. and not to forget the ferries which we had to take in the Mekong delta or the dinner cruise on river Saigon or the kanu tours in the jungle of Vietnam. No matter where we had eaten for lunch or dinner the food was always delicious and freshly prepared.

As already mentioned above, overall this tour has exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Tripadvisor only allows for 5 stars, but Ut and his teams in Cambodia and Vietnam have deserved at least 7 stars. The tour could not have been better and we can highly recommend Vietnam by Bike and their guides. We are looking forward to booking another tour with Ut and his team!
