The trip was absolutely amazing! Our family of four (two teenage girls) loved seeing the Mekong in this way, with flat riding through rice fields, fruit plantations, along canals and rivers weaving throughout the delta and perhaps most valuably along back roads and through villages provide a unique insight to life on the delta. The riding itinerary and guidance provided by our expert guide Phuc was outstanding g and the finish on a speed boat to Phnom Penh a great way to end our 3 day 2 night adventure starting in Ho Chi Minh… we highly recommend this company and tour!

My husband and I took a five day trip with Vietnam Bike Tours from Saigon to Phnom Penh and enjoyed every minute of it! Our guide, Thang, made the trip seamless even though it was over Tet! Although we started with a basic itinerary, we were all open to the unexpected opportunities that might arise during this time of celebration in the country side -- local gatherings for Tet, a wedding, dancing dragons on the bike path, etc. He also tailored the tour to meet our interests and needs (like my insatiable search for coffee). Highly recommend this org and Thang as a guide!

Had a wonderful 5 day cycling adventure with 5 friends around the Mekong Delta. Our superb guide was Sarane and we also had a minibus driver and a truck driver (to transport the bikes) who were excellent. The cycling was great fun and very interesting and the organisation was absolutely top class. The accomodation was very nice (we opted for the higher end option) and the food and snacks were all good. Sarane was able to judge how far we wanted to cycle and was very accomodating to any requests we had. Ms Ly was our contact prior to the tour and she was very efficient and clear in her communication with me. Don't book with the international companies as they just sub contract to local companies such as this and double or triple the price.

OK, this was a life changing tour! My husband and I did a two week+ tour from Saigon to Hanoi. They put together 3 segments, with 3 fantastic guides. Much of Vietnam is flat (though there are hills available if you want them), so quite doable, even in the oppressive summer heat. Since my husband had knee surgery a few months prior, we decided on e-bikes, and I was so grateful because of the heat. Be aware, e-bikes are new to Vietnam, so they aren't always consistent, but we just rolled with it. Our guides, and their drivers, really made the trip. Our driver in Hoi An even had cold cloths waiting for us between stops which made such a difference! All of our guides were locals to the areas we rode (and took us through hidden gems) and took care of us with coffee stops, excellent local food, and shared their love of their country with us. Each of them went above and beyond (solved a bike break down, got ill for a few days so made great pivots, or quick minor alterations to the tour as needed) The quality of hotels we stayed at were top notch and quite beautiful-we requested to stay at nicer hotels, and it was worth the incremental expense (because Vietnam is quite reasonably priced if you avoid the tourist traps). They included great additional excursions for us. Great tour operator. I will use them again to see other parts of SE Asia for sure, and you should too!

The team has been nothing but amazing. Their understanding of my needs for a custom standalone tour, the quality of the path chosen to the electric bike and the support during it and after has been spectacular. I can only recommend them to anyone willing to experience the center of Vietnam by bike! Thanks a lot!

Really great bike tour of some of the back roads and pathways of the Mekong Delta. Happiness was an excellent guide and we also had a great support driver who supplied a steady stream of tropical fruits, beer and chocolate cake. We did 160 km in 3.5 days which was challenging but in a really good way, and any requests for adjusting the trips were listened to carefully. The main thing is the journey itself, and we passed through different horticultural areas of rice, coconuts, market gardens, durians, pomellos, oranges and so on. There were frequent (and very welcome) stops to get a bit of context on history and culture, some amazing lunches, great ferry rides, beautifal pagodas, and the hotel accommodation was varied and interesting. And all the locals want to say hello, the local people are incredibly friendly in spite of all the hardships they have been through. Definitely recommended !

We initially planned our trip to Vietman before Covid. We finally did our 9 day cycling trip in Vietnam finally this year in December. Despite 4 years in the making, Ms Ly always answered all our inquiries, changes. The tour was perfectly planned and executed. We had three tour guides, one in the north, one for cycling from Hue to the South and one for the Delta after our visit in Saigon.

The reliability of the guides, the communication and last minute assistance from VBT was amazing. My MTB frame was too small, so they organised a larger one over night and couried it 400 km over night. My wife needed an urgent entry visa into Vietnam on our return to Singpore (but through Saigon) and it was organised within 1 day. Amazing.

Cycling was totally save. Before big cities we jumped into the bus and drove to the hotels. The hotels were all of high standard and except for one all very good choices by the organisers.

Coming from a low population density country myself, Vietnam coast was a bit crowded for my liking, that is may be one point to consider. The highlands might be an idea as well.

VBT also organised our trip to Angkor Wat and to an island in Cambodia.

You can fully trust them, they do an outstanding job.

We went on the 5 day / 4 night Mekong Delta ride with Vietnam Bikes in April 2024, with the brilliant Loc Ly as our guide. I highly recommend this tour and in particular, with Loc as your guide.

Loc had a very detailed knowledge of the area and took us through a brilliant series of routes that almost entirely avoided main roads and instead meandered through the back lanes and took a series of local ferries. He tailored our route length to suit our riding speed and ability each day. We stopped at a number of spots along the way to try local fruit fresh from the orchards or to look through some of the numerous factories in the area to learn about the various products produced from the abundant supply of rice and coconuts.

Loc went the extra mile for us at every opportunity – including taking a much-treasured series of photos and videos of us as we cycled, timing our rest breaks at the van for fresh fruit, cold water or iced tea at the ferry stops and daily coffee breaks impeccably. Loc expertly chose each of our lunch spots and ordered a delicious feast at each location (not a westerner in sight).

The communications with Vietnam Bike Tours were prompt and easy to deal with. The hotels included in the tour option we selected were beautiful and very comfortable. The van transfers were well organised and our driver was lovely and very professional.

We had an amazing time on a tour with VBT! We asked them to provide bikes, plan a 7-day route for us and transport our luggage (no guide). The bikes were great and the route they planned for us was exactly what we were looking for in terms of variety, surfaces, difficulty and the independence it gave us to explore. We were also happy to see that they were there in the background making sure everything was going smoothly and checking up on us. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic tour! We had an individualized tour designed for just my husband and myself. We spent 28 days in Vietnam, all organized by Vietnam Bike Tours. We spent the first week in the SaPa area in the northwest trekking and the remaining three weeks bicycling sections from Hanoi down to the Mekong Delta. The tour was very well planned, excellent routes picked with fabulous scenery and wonderful people. We peddled through mountainous areas, along the coast and through many rural and remote villages. We feel that we have had a good exposure to many different parts of the country. Accommodations were beautiful and comfortable. Our guides were very knowledgeable and attentive. We felt very safe throughout and extremely well taken care of. I would absolutely recommend Vietnam Bike Tours for anyone wanting a unique and informative experience in Vietnam.

We are really happy about this review, a 28-day tailor-made trip requires a lot of experience and ability to do. This is one of the successful multi-day tours that we have done over the past 14 years, since 2010. Thank you again and I wish you good health.
