Vietnamese cuisine is greatly admired for its fresh ingredients, minimal use of dairy and oil, complementary textures, and reliance on herbs and vegetables.Together we will do the steps of the recipe and I will give tips and suggestions, while we can have a good conversation about Vietnam, about the food and the tradition.The menu can be designed as vegetarian or vegan.

We had a cooking class with Ms. My yesterday. I cook everyday at home so I was looking for a class at which I could really learn some nice tricks and recipes which I could recreate from scratch at home. My husband, on the contrary, is not at all interesting at cooking, so having this is mind we wanted that class which wouldn't be too long, in case he wouldn't enjoy it. We chose Afternoon Delight class from 2 to 5 p.m. with preparation of 2 starters and one main course. At the end we also got a dessert prepared by Ms. My for us. All good reviews I read turned out to be true. - Very good English skills of Ms. My enabled us to understand all the steps and have a nice conversation throughout the class - Ms. My instructed us very carefully, we did all dishes from scratch by ourselves - I have food intolerances which are usually very difficult to meet - egg, gluten and cow milk protein. I also don't eat seafood. Ms. My prepared alternatives for me which enabled me to enjoy all dishes - My husband, on the contrary, loves seafood. He could enjoy the shrimps in 2 starters we prepared - Ms. My was also flexible when it comes to the menu set when I was scheduling the class - At the end we got nicely printed recipes, including dishes modification me and my husband had - Food was delicious!!! I highly recommend the cooking class with Ms. My :-) Both of us, we really enjoyed it!

Our group of 7 included 2 boys (ages 10 and 12). Before the cooking class, Chef My took us through the market to select the greens and explain what she chose and why. Really informative! It was also quite fun -- Chef My could be a stand up comic. As for the class, it was great. Chef My is extremely organized in how she conducts the class and takes the time to walk around to make sure each person is understanding (and extra time with the youngest member of our group). The prep room was separate from the eating room (both air conditioned) and her rule is for each person to visit the nearby restroom to wash hands in between the prep and eating of each course. Food was wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend this class -- fun and informative.

This class was just wonderful and am SO glad I spent the money. Chef My was a spectacular teacher... so friendly, cheerful, spoke great English, gave terrific instructions and most helpful. We learned how to make phenomenal spring rolls, a fresh & tasty lotus salad and Vietnamese BBQ rolls that were fantastic. The room was extremely nice as well with modern furnishings, clean, and air-conditioned which was quite nice. HIGHLY highly recommend this class, it was honestly one of the best experiences I had during my 11 days in Vietnam.
