We had a brilliant day trip around the Mekong Delta, led by our guide Mango. The tour was professionally run and we fitted a lot into the day, highlights included cycling around the island and taking a boat trip along the canals. Mango was an excellent guide - informative, helpful and funny! We would definitely recommend this tour, it was great value and we enjoyed all of the activities.

The decision to book the one day non-touristy Mekong Delta trip is one you‘ll not regret. Our guide Hieu (and his girlfriend Spring) were amazing and the tour itself incredible. We got to try local fruit, visited small villages and went for a lovely boat ride without seeing any other tourists. We were served a delicious lunch at a local family’s house in the most beautiful setting. It was truly one of the best trips I‘ve been on while traveling in Vietnam and I can not recommend it enough. Definitely worth the money!

We booked the non touristy Mekong Delta tour and were very satisfied. Our guide, Ram, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to try and find us local fruit and candy. As described, it is very non touristy as we never saw any other tourists and got to interact with local villagers and got to see exactly how they live. Overall it was an excellent tour and I would highly recommend.

We booked a food tour of HCM at the last minute with Inspitrip. If you are a first time traveller and have just arrived in Vietnam, then I would recommend this trip. But if you are at the tail-end of your Vietnam trip and or have done food tours before in SE Asia, you will likely be disappointed.
PROS:
We liked that we were able to book our trip at the last minute and that the tour guides were able to collect us at our hotel outside of the main tourist district for no extra charge. Our two guides were very enthusiastic and friendly - we really enjoyed spending time with them.
CONS:
1) We specifically booked food tour and we were only given three dishes. Technically there was a fourth but I personally do not think drinking from a coconut should be included as a dish. Most food tours have a minimum of at least 6. When I gave this feedback to the company, we were told this was because one of the places we were to visit had closed for the evening (but we weren't offered an alternative even though we had already paid for it).
2) There was poor communication between the booking service, us and our actual tour guides and we believe this was likely the reason why our tour was somewhat underwhelming. As compensation, we were offered a free city tour the following day - however we had never wanted a city tour in the first place and so although it was kind of them to offer, it was also a bit odd.

In fact this was very touristy we did not go to a school which was something that made me book
The guide was very time aware and at times it felt quite rushed not much information given on the area history etc
Lunch was at a busy restaurant not cooked by a chef for the tour
So overall an average trip sold on misrepresentation of content

On behalf of Inspitrip, I want to extend my sincerest apologies for the negative experience that you had with our tour. Due to exceptionally high demand during this peak season, there was some disarrangement. We are happy to issue a full refund for you, please check your email for further information.
Thank you!

We went on a one day tour of the Mekong from Saigon, mainly because we only had a day left. Otherwise we would have gone and explored ourselves. While our guide Phu was entertaining and spoke great English, this tour was the thing we had managed to avoid up until this point. Sure we had a small group of 11, but we were herded from tourist trap to tourist trap which felt quite contrived and detached from the locals. We have had some really good personal experiences during our three weeks in Vietnam, which made this feel all the more artificial. Sure, if you want a quick, safe tour of the Mekong, go for it, but it didn't really hit the mark for us.

We choose for a private tour to the Mekong delta from Ho Chi Minh city. It was a so called off the beaten track tour and indeed we didn’t see other tourists besides the ones that you meet at the reststop on the way to the Mekong delta. Jack was our tour guide and I have to say that he was one of the best we had in Vietnam. Not only is English was very good, he also knows a lot about all kinds of different topics. Even at the reststop he explained about the purpose of trees/plants and the gifts. We visited a local market, and although we have visited several markets it was more fun with the explanations. We ended up with a very nice family; we prepared some snacks with the woman and we caught some fish with the man. We also spent some time on the boat and the bicycle, but I assume this was a bit less compared to the “normal” Mekong delta tours. But we were more than satisfied!

My best friend and I decided to fly out and celebrate our birthday trip early part of August this year. We've always wanted to visit Vietnam but never got around to do it. The logistics and planning required in packing a full 3 day visit was just not possible with everything going on around us.
Deciding to spend the days to just get lost though was really not our style and we panicked 2 days before our flight. We finally admitted that we need some form of structure. Luckily we stumbled upon Inspitrip. Hang (Inspitirp's admin) replied in the next few minutes after our inquiry. Our savior immediately guided us in deciding which trip suits our expectations best. He didn't push for us to take all the tours and tailored it to our pace.
We were very lucky to get Jack as our tour guide. We were a bit skeptic at first since he looked way younger than us. However, he had nothing but glowing reviews and at that time we felt like we really had no choice. We thank our lucky stars because Jack shared so much - a truly in depth history at Cu Chi tunnels - the good, the bad and the funny stories. He was game every step of the way. Moving us along when the big groups were approaching and pointing to us things that most guides did not even care to share. Bonus points to Jack since his grandma was part of the Vietcong army and he was able to capture and share with us history buffs little tidbits that created a richer learning of Vietnam's history.
We hope to return to Vietnam soon with Inspitrip as our guides.

Vi was our first experience with Inspitrip and it was a really good one. Everything was perfectly arranged. And with perfectly I mean that the driver would exactly arrive at the moment we got to the road, so 0 waiting time. She's also very nice to chat with and knows all the ins and outs about Vietnam and the Mekong Delta. My parents and I had a great day.

I had the most amazing trip. I did the private tour with Long who was absolutely the best tour guide. We had very much in common regarding war history and he is very knowledgeable and intelligent. Not one tourist in sight. We took an awesome motor boat ride as well as a rowing boat through the small canals which was absolutely breath taking. A delicious lunch with a wonderful family. Strolled around the village... Rode a bike... And so much more. Long even took me to some very special places that were not on the usual itinerary. This trip was the absolute best!!
