    pink church in HCM
it is a famous church in HCM city,i first visited it in 2017, impressed with its colour and design. last year when i had 9 days trip to HCM, i came here again. i took many pics of it ,also took many pics with it. i even went to the opposite street to take more pics of it, cuz you can take the whole church from the opposite street. it is a large structure with a Roman architectural style combined with classic Gothic elements. The entire church is painted in a pink colour, this unique church is called Pink Church,of course it is its nickname.visitors are not allowed to enter the church, but i think you can attend Mass during Christmas day.

It's weird to be a tourist attraction 🙃
"Thinking of skipping the famous pink church in Ho Chi Minh City? Consider this: head to Cong instead and order that coconut coffee. Not only do you get to capture Instagram-worthy photos, but you also get a unique perspective of the church without standing in the scorching heat. Win-win!"

    Intricate Beauty
Tan Dinh Church offered us a serene place of reflection amidst its vibrant pink facade. We admired the intricate details of its Gothic architecture, which provided a fascinating glimpse into history and craftsmanship. It was a peaceful and enlightening stop on our Ho Chi Minh City journey.

    Famous church of the city
A famous church of the city. I visited for the first time. I took many photos. I was able to photograph the entire church from the street. They call it the pink church because of its paint. They only let you in on certain days, otherwise it's closed.

As a tourist, I would not recommend making any trips to this venue. It should not even be listed as a tourist attraction as they are not open to tourists. My family witnessed the security guard shouting at another tourist when the tourist was walking towards the hall. The people are unfriendly and behave extremely arrogantly.

As a believer in Christ, I would strongly advice you to avoid this "place of worship". When I sat in for mass, everyone was grouchy and unfriendly. There was also a Eucharist session and the priest even rejected some other believers I witnessed who went up. The priest didn't explain the reasons and brushed some believers away. As a believer, I don't believe that any one person can haphazardly determine whether one is a "holy" person or not in this manner and with the culture I witnessed first-hand at Tan Dinh church, I would conclude that this church is rather unlike most churches I've visited globally and I witnessed how they are hostile to visitors/tourists, and it would be detrimental for believers seeking to build their faith.

All in all, they are hostile to visiting believers and tourists alike. Its not a place of community and faith for its believers and its certainly not a place for tourism. The only selling point for this "attraction" is simply the choice of its paint colour. And the only part of the "church" that you are welcome to is its donation box. To call this a church and a tourist attraction would be a misrepresentation.

I have been there on Sunday. The security doesn't let me in by saying "GET OUT" very rude to me as I am a dog.

To explain that It's Sunday he shout at me and repeat my question rudely.

The church is nice but the people are.not nice at all.

Never go back there again. It is not worth it

We are staying near the famous pink church in district 3 near the market. Walking by Sunday night there was a huge crowd leaving mass so was not able to go inside but the church is so beautiful all lit up at night. A local landmark.

Quite an unique church, feels like a little sister to Ljubljana's blue church if you have seen that one. As a sight quite an average one but worth the taxi trip for a photo if you have an Instgram account. If your time in Ho Chi Minh City is limited though I would propably skip this one and check other places and sights first.

The building is impressive and very well maintained. The surrounding ground is kept clean and tidy and there are sculptures to see. However, they give the impression that they don't really appreciate tourists and have to tolerate them when the church (Roman Catholic) grounds is open. Became impossible to get the guards to tell us when the church would be open so that we could visit inside so had to make do with looking through the windows. So much for being welcoming.

Unfortunately, this place was closed when we came for renovation work. That said, it was a bright church on a busy road, and it played some loud chiming bells on the hour. Not sure what the fuss was about to be honest. Really would not come out of the way.

The church is a little out of the way, but it's worth the walk.
The colours are great, and the design is absolutely beautiful.
When we went, it was closed, so if you want to have a look inside, make sure you check the days when it's open.

You have to know that most or all Catholic Churches are closed except for prayer services, ie, the Mass. Go on line to find out when.
So get there five minutes early and remember to leave soon after. Walking around during prayer times and talking the likes of selfies is definitely not appreciated, so don't be rude / ignorant.
If you see a middle aged priest then he probably speaks French, but younger ones, as many train in the likes of New Zealand, have good English. Many friendly locals will talk to you to practice their English.
Don't be surprised to see locals around Saigon wearing rosary beads as a sign of their dedication, or similarly having holy icons on display in secular shops.
Good on them !

The church was closed as they were putting up Christmas decorations inside. But the exterior is very beautiful, plus they made a huge nativity scene that is very pretty to see!! Go ahead, the color of the church is still incredible!!
