This show was amazing!! Great for every traveller - Solo, couples, families and even big groups. Don't bother paying the extra for better seating although front and centre is best. They drill the selling tactics pretty hard like "You'd best reserve this seat because were almost full" which is rubbish unless you're here in the busy season.

What to do in Hanoi for a night out without the kids . Thanks to the hotel baby !
We found the flyer in the hotel lobby and braved booking the gold class tickets .
The theatre lobby was very impressive with piano music playing we were a bit worried when there was not many people around , but the lobby started to fill as the start time got closer . The theatre was not to big and our seats were amazing 3 rows back and in the middle.
From the time the clown come out to tell everyone they should turn their phone off . To the very end we were mesmerised buy the talent and skill on display, the costumes the colour the story all had us hooked from the start .
I could have stayed in my seat snd watched it again I did not want it to end and on some little way it didn't
when we made our way out most of the cast were in the lobby in their amazing costumes getting photos taken with whom ever was quick enough to get in .
The only thing I'm disappointed about is my children missed it they to would have loved it like the many local family's sitting around the lone Aussie and his Mrs did .
If you have a night spare do your self a favour see this show AMAZING!

I was suprised at the variety of the dances (belly dance, hip hop, circus, dance sport...), the amazing costumes designed by one of the top designers in Vietnam Nguyen Cong Tri and the stunning effect of light and sound system. This show is highly recommended for both kid and adult. I will def want to watch it again with friends next time.

I was recommended to come to ‘Ionah’ by a friend and I couldn’t thank him enough. The show is so awesome that I have gone to the theater twice and believe me, it’s worth every penny.
‘Ionah’ sticks to its task of telling a romantic and fantastic tale of love and inner conflict of a young girl living in a busy old corner of Hanoi. The plot might appear senseless or boring to some, which I don’t know why, but it was told in an unconventionally wonderful way, by a dedicated team of talent.
The variety show is magnificently made up of dance, theater, circus acts, visual art and lighting effects. While alluring dance and theater performances by artists in extravagant costumes reaches every audience’ zone of pure joy, acrobatics, juggling allied with visual and sound effects are jaw-dropping displays of genius. The dare-devil aerialists perform tricky high-wire turns, suspend in mid-air, and sometimes get so close to danger that they make you feel alive. However, there is a particular set of a rubber-bodied trio of acrobats illustrating blooms in the rain that is both blowing and tranquillizing the mind. Visual and sound effects are really like a fancy party thrown for theatergoers’ eyes and ears (and even skin when goosebumps run down arms). All those aforementioned are integrated into the narrative and do a marvelous job of depicting the young girl’s surrealist journey.
The show is brought by a crew of big names who are always eager to experiment with new ideas: director Pham Hoang Nam, director Quoc Trung (yes, Monsoon Music Festival), choreographer Tran Ly Ly (yes, Dancing with the Stars), circus director Tong Toan Thang, image creator Fernando Toma, and costume designer Nguyen Cong Tri (yes, Ho Ngoc Ha). Together with those admirable performers wowing the watchers by every move on the stage, those great renowned have succeeded in touching the audience by their courage and devotion to art.

You must go see this show. It is truly dreamlike and held my attention from the opening minute to the final act. It is absolutely mesmerizing and I have caught myself thinking about it many times since I saw it. The acrobatics were well performed and jaw dropping. It was pure entertainment that will make you sit at the edge of your seat. Costumes were beautiful and creative and the whole design of the show was very elaborate. The professionalism and the passion of all the participants were outstanding. This show is a “must watch" and offers total value for your money!

I was very surprised because of sparkling and beautiful costumes. Circus performances by Vietnamese actors and actress are not really excellent but amazing. A Hanoi in real life is also reappeared lovely in stage by hip hop dances and graffiti at Long Bien Bridge. That's so creative!

I must to say Ionah show is the BEST show in Vietnam. I got a chance to watch Ionah show last week. I didnt expect it much but It made me suprised. The show is perfect from top to toe. The artists, they are super professional. I have known some of artists of the show. They are all experienced performers. The thing that make me supprise me the most is its perfomance costumes. It is designed by the best Vietnamese fashion designer. The show is well prepared for everything, sound, light, stage... I have watched some art show in US and i think i couldnt find any kind of that show in Vietnam. But I'm so happy because it's here already. Ionah show is at the international quality level. For foreigners in Vietnam, if you looking for an art show, this is the best choice for you. Dont miss it if you dont want to be regretted.

The introduction of the show is quite interesting. As briefing, this is the contribution of all famous local artists and for Hanoians & Hanoi lovers. The show is mixed by multi performances to tell a love story and divided into 03 parts.
Audiences will enjoy the colorful costumes with modern music. I myself love the 1st part mostly which displays daily lifestyle of Hanoi people and the image of old Long Bien bridge selected as the background. The stage will be larger & more impressive without 02 big pillars at the center. The young couple show their excellent talent.
If you scare of snake, dont choose the 1st row.

Our family greatly enjoyed this show. It is a wonderful mix of visual and performance arts that our kids especially loved. HOWEVER, BUYER BEWARE! I found the website to be confusing about the ticket prices and ended up spending twice as much because I didn’t understand that there were 2 for 1 ticket prices. There was another guest at the same show who ended up buying twice as many tickets because of the same issue. And, despite there clearly being a problem with the website description of ticketing levels the show refused to refund the money we spent. As a family traveling this would have saved us a significant amount of money. Unfortunately the poor refund policy forces my rating to be lower.

On the last night in Hanoi, I decided to watch #ionah, a stage theatre that was highly dubbed as the Cirque De Soleil of Asia. I was mind-blown by their ideas from the stage-graphics-lights-sound-costumes-choreography designs. Not even a single second i’d want to miss a moment or a glimpse of every performances. Especially for those who appreciates expressive dances choreography, graphic and costume designs and art in every forms.. you would enjoy this show! Colourful, graceful and well performed! Highly recommended!

It looks like they are not performing at this time. Search for ‘ Ionah show Hanoi’ and check their website. There is also a bamboo performance that is coming to Hanoi called Lune which has great reviews. Search ‘Lune Hanoi’ to find their website. Maybe try that instead.

You can go to the theater on the performing day, before 7.00 PM and buy the ticket. However, to make sure that ticket and seat are available, you should contact us before. Hope to see you at Ionah Show.
