Being from Australia I love to eat and am also a big Anh Do fan. I remembered him recommending this Food Tour so decided to give it a try. What an awesome decision!

Each of the foods that we were given were so unbelievably tasty and 'morish' and we went to parts of the Old Quarter I wouldn't have hunted out on my own. Our guide Mr Huong is one of the owners and his passion for what he did was so obvious. His knowledge of what we were eating and the friendships he obviously had with the food vendors made us feel like we were visiting members of his family and sitting with them to enjoy a meal.

I also loved the hints and tips he gave us at the end of the trip as to what we should be doing when in Hanoi. For anyone visiting Hanoi this is definitely a must do!

Hi Phil O Thanks for your kind words. We are really passionate about what we do and our relationship with all the food vendors is special. I have known a lot of them all my life and used to eat at some of their stalls when I was a little boy! Thanks again for taking a Fat Emperor Food Tour. Kind Regards, Huong Le.

I just returned from Vietnam and the Fat Emperor Food Tour in Hanoi was one of the best things I did. Not only was each food dish outstanding but the stories that were told to us by our guide were things that would never be found in a guide book or online - I was hooked from start to finish. Navigating and eating my way around the Old Quarter on this tour will never be forgotten.

Dear Eddie, We are so glad you enjoyed your experience. We love sharing stories with all our customers. Great food, unique stories and the most intimate knowledge of Hanoi's Old Quarter is what makes a Fat Emperor Food Tour so memorable. Hope to welcome you again next time you visit Hanoi. Kind Regards, Tram Anh and Huong Le.

A food tour through the old quarter of Hanoi - as you meander through the old quarter hearing the history of the city you get the chance to try some of the cuisine particular to this part of Vietnam - with all the food tours available I would rate this one of the best

We had a great time in Vietnam over New Years, which included taking the Fat Emperor Food Tour. The experience was well worth it and we highly recommend doing the tour on the first or season day of arriving iny Hanoi. When arriving to a new city/town we always aim to do a food or walking tour and after being recommended the Fat Emperor we were not disappointed. The food experience was great, however don't underestimate the benefit of gaining exposure to parts of Hanoi city that most mainstream tourists don't visit and also the benefit of becoming familiar with the city right at the start of your visit. Thanks for the welcoming tour and the great flavours. We look forward to catching up again when we return later this year.

Fabulous way to spend an afternoon in Hanoi. This gourmet food trail took us through the streets of the charming old quarter where we feasted on some of the best food we've had in Hanoi. We also learnt so much about Vietnamese history from our friendly guide, Huong.

Huong shared stories which, despite coming from a Vietnamese background, was new even to us. His passion, knowledge and personal stories were what made this tour incredibly unique. I wouldn't choose to experience the old quarter any other way...AMAZING!

We had a magnificent tour guide "Hai" and his assistant, everything ran smoothly. Hai certainly knew a lot of history and we seen things that we would never have seen without the tour, food was great....would highly recommend.

We love a food tour and chose this one as it came highly recommended. The whole experience did not disappoint and was probably the best thing we did in our whole time away! Our guide Huong was a champion. His historical knowledge mixed in with stories from his childhood made it really special and quite personal. And the food.....AWESOME! Every food dish, drink, coffee whatever we were having left such an indelible mark that we are already planning on doing this tour again next time we visit Hanoi. A must do!

The guides were really hospitable and made the experience about more than just eating.
I really feel more comfortable going out and trying new things after going on this tour. I learnt a lot about the language, the food and the area where I am going to be staying for 2 weeks.
Definitely suggest doing this tour in your 1st few days. It really makes everything else so easy.

We did this tour on our first night in Hanoi (as advised by our friends) and it was certainly the best thing we did. We ate our way around Hanoi and met new friends along the way. Amazing way to see Hanoi. Must, must, must do.

We all had the most majestic time on his food discovery tour. Walking around the old quarter, following a wonderful guide and sampling amazing cuisine was just what we were after. I was curious as to whether the children would enjoy and to put it simply they loved it. They were given Vietnamese lollies to try and were told stories that could have been out of a Golden Book. I am looking forward to doing this again next time we return.

Hi travelasia81, We are so happy that the children in your travelling party also enjoyed our tour. We always aim to make all our guests, even the little ones, feel as though they are the most important person on the tour. The lollies are always a hit - our children love them to! Thanks again, Tram and Huong.
