I am an Vietnamese myself who have been living in Hanoi for 6 years. For having 2 months summer vacation off, my friend and I decided to go to Catba island and Lan Ha bay to stay away from busy and touristy Halong bay. After doing some search online, we decided to throw our 2 days holiday on hands of this travel company. And it all turned out to be amazing, unforgetable. We depart on a very nice car and hydrofoil to get to cát bà. All the activities on the first day was brilliant, from sunset view to night boat trip around floating villages. But our real highlight was on the second day when we wander around Lan Ha bay with our friendly local host. We had a great chance to do kayaking around and stopped by few beaches to swim and lie down for relaxing. I have been to Halong bay before but I am telling you from bottom of my heart that Lan Ha bay is way much better than Halong. Trust me and guys will have a great time

While I was in Singapore, a lovely girl I met at a hostel recommended me to contact Choung for my travels around Hanoi. She told me he would be able to help me out to sort bookings and would advise me with better than my hotel. I contacted Choung and all turned out to be true, he booked the Halong bay cruise (with Oriental Sails) at a fraction of the price of what my hotel offered me and given that he was away of Hanoi he sent a friend of his to help me out to sort some things (like getting a SIM card). By the time I spoke to him I had booked my train and hotel in Sapa which I regret because he had better prices as well. I highly recommend his services!

In Hanoi we stayed in the old quarter & engaged the services of Choung, this young man has a passion for tourism which he has studied at University & is fluent in English, French, Chinese & Vietnamese! He arranged our hotels, tours to Sapa, Halong Bay, booked our train tickets to Hue & picked up us from our hotel took us to the train station to make sure we got on the right train! He kept us up to date on our various tour bookings, answered all our enquires & helped us with camera issues! We also did the walking tour, his commentary & knowledge was outstanding, a very enjoyable experience! We stayed in the old quarter which was interesting lots of hustle & bustle! There are 36 streets & tight alleys, back in the day each street was identified by particular trades of merchants specialising in specific products eg: silk, kitchen ware! The street names reflect these trades! Very unique! The food is amazing, spring rolls & Pho our favourites! Choung took us to the Old Quarter Cafe which is situated down an alley & up 3 flights of stairs! The sunset view over Lake Hoan Kiem was stunning & it was really peaceful away from the honking & motorbikes! He then took us to experience a traditional vietnamese meal & explained everything! Thank you Chuong for a hassle & stressful free holiday & making our time in Vietnam a very memorable experience! Highly recommend!

We were recommended by the hotel. Young friendly man, fluent in english. Took us around the old quarters for food tour. Its not just the varieties of yummy delicious food, but bringing us through the alleys, seeing how the locals patronize their local spots for their bowl of favourite food. Not only he know every corner of the city, hos knowledge of the history and culture interests us. So it was a perfect learning experience for our mind, soul and our hungry stomach. Thanks!!! We will see you again in Ha Long Bay 2016.
