From the planning stages through the trip itself we were delighted with Ciao Asia Travel! We really enjoyed our accommodations, food and all the planned trips during our 2 weeks exploring Siem Reap, Battambang, Stung Treng and Phnom Penh. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. The vehicle was a recent model van with plenty of room and very good AC.

This was a very unique driving trip through parts of Cambodia not often visited, so the impeccable arrangements were even more impressive. In Stung Treng, we didn't really like the hotel that was booked but they were able to move us to a more suitable hotel in town. This was all done within a few minutes and on the fly and reacting to our whims. We were also able to experience many of the local flavors that each town offered as the guide and driver were more than willing to stop and explore. The deep fried tarantula and baby jack fruit were particularly good.

Looking forward to hiring Ciao Asia Travel again!

I can't say enough good things about Diu of Ciao Asia Travel. This was a very important trip for my husband, who was returning to Vietnam after escaping Saigon 45 years ago. We took our young adult children so they could learn about their heritage. We spent 11 days touring 4 major cities and saw so many wonderful sights, that included some childhood memories for my husband and many sites he had never seen. Diu was so very thorough and sensitive to the meaning of this trip. She was fast to respond in helping plan all the details, she was a fabulous resource and answered all my questions and concerns. This was a tough trip to plan with many flights, details and sites to get in during 11 days. Diu was so helpful and understood the significance of it, and treated us like family. There were no problems during our vacation and everything went according to plan. She even came to meet us with some thoughtful Vietnamese gifts. We will always be grateful to Diu. She was a gem! If you are planning to go to Vietnam, I highly recommend Diu!

I discovered Ciao Asia Travel after looking for a local company to help arrange a solo trip to Laos and I could not be happier with my choice! Ms. Diu was extremely helpful during the whole process. Very responsive to any questions and suggestions and more than willing to help accommodate and changes. All the arrangements, including hotels and English speaking guides, were top notch. I had many transfers around Laos and I never once had to worry about a single thing not working out. All the guides were amazing, friendly and very helpful. I would absolutely recommend Ms. Diu and Ciao Asia and will be using them again for my next trip to the area.

A very experienced traveller and never thought I’d say this - I don’t recommend this tour AT ALL!! My partner and I almost left on the 2nd day but as this was our splurge part we decided to stick it through and hope for the best. What was so disappointing is the fact that we booked the group tour yet saw no other travellers OR GUIDES from ciao Asia the entire time!!! There was also a huge amount of time we spent waiting... waiting in a dark hotel lobby amongst sleeping staff because we arrived too early for brekky or check in, in Sapa for 3 hrs for a driver to pick us up, in Lao Cai for 4 hours for our train to depart. As you’re on public transport anyway (with no guide) you’re basically paying a lot of money for someone to organise the travel to and from Sapa and Halong Bay in disguise of a ‘tour’. I highly recommend you organise it yourself to save a lot of money, and make the timing more efficient to get the most out of your trip. I recommend a return bus or private car, or train for the experience from Hanoi to Sapa, local tour guide at Sapa (there are plenty!!!), and a separate Halong bay cruise which will organise your pick up and drop off from your hotel. Sapa and Halong are absolutely beautiful and worth the visit, we just wished someone warned us about doing it through this company!

I bought the ‘Vietnam Central Ancient Town’ tour around Hoi An and Hue, for my 4 days stay in Central Vietnam last NOVEMBER 2016. Honestly I was not entirely happy about it. But I wouldn't say it was the worst, just that the service was not all what I expected.

At first, I had to use my own transportation (taxi) which cost me 20USD just to get to Hoi An. It was quite disappointing. Since there was no one to pick me up upon my arrival in Da Nang. Because the tour agent named NANCY did not check her email. I even had to buy a line just to call her, just to tell her that I had arrived. Although she helped me talk to the taxi and deducted 20USD later from the overall price of the tour that I paid. It is still inexcusable.

Instead of apologizing, she also kept repeating on the phone when I called, “there was a mistake, there was a mistake.” She was also indirectly blaming it on me saying they were close on a Sunday. When I had already contacted her earlier that week, booked earlier and paid my deposit on a Saturday. She did not admit her mistake when she was the one who did not check her email, she was the first one who made a MISTAKE on my DEPOSIT RECEIPT (stating the wrong country in my details) and replying her email very slow. Hence, caused me to pay the deposit on Saturday afternoon just to wait for her new receipt. She also did not even inform me that their company was close HALF DAY! on a Saturday. She did not even mention it once! She also kept blaming that my tour was “urgent! urgent!” when I had already confirmed with her days before the payment and my arrival. She was the one that was supposed to prepare it. I also did not get to experience eating at a traditional Vietnamese restaurant that was supposed to be included in the itinerary. Apparently because the tour agent Nancy said, I arrived at the LAST MINUTE! In the end, I only had my dinner at the hotel. Again, disappointing.

What’s even worse was my tour guide! I had PRIOR requested a FEMALE GOOD ENGLISH tour guide but she gave me a MALE tour guide instead! A guide who was somehow always in a rush! (eventhough it was a PRIVATE tour) and most of all, a POOR english speaking guide! I can’t understand what he was trying to explain to me the whole time in Hoi An. To me, he was quite lazy, not knowledgeable and most of all, boring! It was truly a bad experience. Not worth using a tour. It made me realized that it was just a waste of money! The guide was NOT something I requested.

Because I was unsatisfied with the guide in Hoi An. I had to persistently ask the agent to fix the problem and requested for a female tour guide AGAIN. Since I had already paid and requested it PRIOR my arrival. Even though the agent Nancy said it was impossible at first and kept saying “you are urgent, urgent” and not thinking of fixing HER MISTAKE. Eventually she finally got me a female guide.

Although the Female guide was a Freelance, that the agent got from Hoi An. The female guide was good. She can speak english very well (I can understand her) and due to her presence, I also enjoyed my tour in Hue. She was fun and knowledgeable. Most of all, very relaxed. This was the only part that is worth it.

Overall, the tour was expensive but it was not entirely worthwhile. And I also realized, there is just no place that you can’t visit on your own. For me, it’s better to make your own itinerary and plan your visits on your own, rather than having to endure a “pain in the neck”, inefficient tour agent who don’t even care to apologize and screw up your tour. Until today, I did not get an apologetic email or an apology from the tour agent Nancy. Not even admitting her mistakes that cost me to pay last minute because of the mistake she made on my online receipt and for not informing me that they were closed on a Saturday afternoon. Most of all, how she had terribly fixed my tour. It is COMMON COURTESY to apologize to the customer/client if you had done something wrong. Instead, I was the one who had to send her a PERSONAL complimentary email. Which later she posted on their website as “feedback” without my permission. I did not even get a SORRY from her. Truly not recommended! She was unapologetic, not prompt and most of all, CARELESS.

Bear in mind, I had used this same travel agency and same travel agent 3 years ago. The outcome was previously great when I went to Sa Pa years ago. But now, somehow the quality of service is quite disappointing. I really hope this company can maintain it again.

We went for a panorama tour of 12 days .From the first moment until the last we had great assistance. Ms.Diu was responsible for the planning and organisation.
Myanmar is a beautiful and pleasant place to visit .
The whole trip was a big success . Friendly , polite, helpful guides and drivers who did everything to forfill our wishes. They did their very best to speak english and with a little bit of effort from our sides we understood everything. ( One CANNOT except that the speak fluent english, because it is not their native language and the don't speak it all the year around)The hotels were very good to excellent and completely to our satisfaction and the food was above expectations.
MY advice for those who are planning to visit Myanmar : Contact Myanmartour.us and ask for Ms Diu.

It was a fantastic trip to Myanmar. What wonderful people there. My guides and hotels were great and very knowledgable. Overall, I would recommend this company to all my family and friends. I went on a journey of a lifetime and this company made it all that I wanted it to be.I have been dreaming of going to Bagan since 1971, since I saw pictures of the temples, in this region. Thank you Myanmar Tours Us.

We just took 2 custom-made/private English speaking tours with Ciao Asia (tourtovietnam). (3D2N Danang/Hue and 5D4N Sapa/Halong/Ninh Binh). They are trusted company. We paid a small deposit before the trip, and paid the rest of the money when I got to Hanoi. The tour itineraries, the tour guides and the drivers were all excellent. We had our lunches included in the tours. and dinners were on our own. The tour guides recommended us several locations for excellent local foods. Highly recommend this tour company to travellers.

All the organization and the trip was perfect!!! The travel agency prepared us a very complete trip, impresive an really nice hotels, nice restaurants and good Spanish speakers guides. Diu helped us a lot while organising the trip and during the trip. She’s a really good professional and very patient as we changed lots of things of the trip and she did it without any problem and gave us really good recommendations. I found this agency by Internet and we’re really really happy of having done the trip with them. We highly recommend this agency to travel to this part of the world. Thanks a lot to Ciao Asia Travel and specially to Diu.

We needed an add-on from a larger tour in southern Thailand and I came across Ciao Asia Travel through myanmartours.us. An agent, Ms Giang Nguyen (from Vietnam office) put together a 6 day, 5 night trip to Myanmar- Yangon, Bagan, and Inle Lake. It was a private tour for 3 people. The accommodations (Option 2, Superior) were fantastic hotels (especially the Aureum in Inle Lake). The tour guides and drivers were always on time, met us at the airports and stayed with us through check in to next destination. All were friendly and spoke good English. The guide in Bagan, San, deserves a shout out for his incredible knowledge of the history and the temples. I've taken a chance on several private tour companies in other countries, but this one was the best in almost all aspects (price, guides, hotels, transportation, itinerary, options, no problems). I would definitely use them again
