Nhat Tan bridge bridge looks beautiful from a distance when passing from noi bai airport to downtown hanoi
Nhat Tan Bridge is designed and built to become a new icon of the capital, with five towers symbolizing the five ancient gates of Hanoi
The travel time by car from the bridge to the Noi Bai Airport is only 15 minutes.
The construction of the 8.93 km Nhat Tan Bridge, the longest bridge spanning the Hong (Red) River, began in March 2009

It is hard to imagine not crossing this bridge as it connects the airport to the city. We have crossed this bridge a few times while here and it is fascinating to see all the lights changing colours regularly! The Vietnamese sure do love their LED lights!

Tha Nhat Tan Bridge, crossing the Hong (Red) River in Hanoi is truly an engineering marvel and a thing of grace and beauty. Built at a cost of US$639 million, with support from the Government of Japan, the bridge spans nearly 9 kms in length. With five huge suspension towers and cable-stay engineering, the bridge carries six lanes of traffic of a new superhighway leading to Hanoi's new super international airport terminal. Fabulous bridge, road, and airport!!

Modern aesthetic bridge, nice concrete structure, not worth a special visit but it is en route from the airport.

The Nhat Tan Bridge is a modern cable and concrete bridge that crosses the Red River in Hanoi and was first opened in January 2015. I travelled over the Nhat Tan Bridge on my first day when arriving from the airport to my hotel and could not stop looking at it as the taxi drove over the bridge. The bridge does light up at night, making it picturesque.

This is a fairly typical modern concrete bridge. Aesthetically pleasing because of its design, but unless bridges are really your thing it's not really worth a special visit. You'll most likely pass over it on the way to or from the airport.

After six short months travelling South East Asia, I was with a mate in a Grab on the way to Hanoi Airport to fly back home to England.

The Nhat Tan Bridge is a large suspension bridge which crosses the red river which, at our time of crossing, was misty and enticing.

Last few reviews of South East Asia :(.

Any color you like ~ When leaving great city Hanoi for this time and heading to the airport late evening, and passing over this bridge it was an amazing surprise. it felt like taking part in the futuristic movie "Blade runner" or "2001" when crossing through the spacey lit of Nhat Than bridge.

We passed by this bridge from the airport going to the Old Quarters. You wont miss noticing this bridge because it has a modern design and quite unexpectedly it is quite attractive .

At night when lit up it adds up to the unusual design element of this bridge.
