We took the Sapa express from Hanoi to Sapa on January 10. The booking directly with Sapa Express was a breeze. The journey to Sapa was very pleasant, thanks to the professionalism of the staff, in particular Mr. Max, Miss Aurora and Mr. Dan. Mr. Max helped with the transport to the big bus. He was on time for our pickup, extremely courteous, efficient helping us with our luggage without us asking. Miss Aurora, the guide during the journey, was charming and efficient providing the needed information. Mr. Dan was a calm and very good driver. There were some incidents caused by guests who were arrogant and not respectful of the timing of the bus departure. Mr. Max and Ms. Aurora handled the situation in a professional manner, to the point of taking a very modest stance towards those disrespectful guests. I would advise the people who are disorganized, cannot be punctual, do not respect other fellow tourists and do not show respect to the Vietnamese service staff that they choose other means for their tourism needs. In summary: the quality of our trip to Sapa was above expectation thanks to Aurora, Max and Dan of Sapa Express.

We travelled by sleeper bus, at first a surprise but turned out very comfortable. But the bus was not the highlight, the driver and co-driver, the complete professional driving style and the resulting experience of secure travel was what made me happy. A big thumbs up to all Sapa Express drivers

I had a pleasent experience travelling with Sapa Express Bus No.6 (3rd January 2020) and Bus No.2 (5th January 2020). On bus no.6,the bus guide was Sophia and i forgot the bus driver's name. On bus no.2, it was with Aurora & bus driver Dan. Both guides area very warm & pleasent. They gave us a bottle of mineral water and a pack of nuts at the beginning of the journey. The ride was pleasent & relaxing. They make 2 stops along the way for us to stretch ourselfs, grab some drinks/food or go use the restroom. Both the rest stops were very clean and proper. 1st stop was about 15-20mins & the 2nd was 30mins. The bus were very clean, well lit, seats are comfortable for a 5 1/2 hrs journey. There's wifi onboard. Sometimes there's no connection but not to serious, just for a minute or two. Overall it was a very enjoyable ride with Sapa Express. Thank you for the wonderful service. Will definitely recommend using their service when going to Sapa.

We’ve just returned from 3d trip to Sapa traveling Hanoi-Sapa-Hanoi with Sapa Express.
Good thing first - seats are very comfortable, but that’s it.
Monday morning, pick up at hotel was arranged for 6am. Bus arrived at hour hotel at 0705. Sapa Express did not feel to contact us, and we weren’t able to get through by phone ourselves.
On returning day to Hanoi, we were told that Sapa Express could not drop us off at our hotel in Hanoi as planned but only at the bus station in Hanoi.
Well, we entered the bus in Sapa. Heavy rain begins half way back to Hanoi. The driver drove faster than the speed limits and what the wet conditions allowed to. Bus carrying 20s people overtook every other vehicle on the road. People were crying and scared.

I would definitely recommend you to arrange with other agencies. I suggest you to book night busses to save day time as well.

We have just arrived in Sapa from Hanoi. Sapa express had friendly and professional staff and the bus was clean, comfortable and on time. If you can afford the time it’s worth taking this trip for the amazing views alone particularly the last 30 km clime to Sapa town. Last time we did this trip we took the sleeper train. Unfortunately we had very little sleep and wasted the following day due to being so tired. We can highly recommend Sapa Express 👍😀😀

I tried both the sleeper bus and the 28 seats bus. The sleeper bus is comfortable but not amazing, the corridors to reach your seat can be VERY small and it's almost hard to walk in it. For a few dollars more you can get the 28 seats option: super comfortable big seats, much space for legs and comfortable journey. The staff is nice and helpful. Will definitely take this again if coming back to Sapa

Sapa Express is definitely the go to option for Hanoi-Sapa. Transparent and reliable. Clear about pick and drop off stations in both Hanoi old and Sapa (always Sapa Express addresses).
Journey time up to 6 hours. Two stops for WC and snack break.
We used the 18 seater bus, seats are spacious and with enough leg room (I'm 190cm tall).
Tickets can be purchased directly via their web site, with a third party secure card payment gateway, tickets arrive via email. Or you can visit their office to buy tickets. 19USD per person one-way or 38USD return.

We took the Sapa Express bus from Hanoi to Sapa and we booked it for the return trip again because it was such a good experience on the way there. Our host Ming was attentive and able to address anyone’s questions about the area and whatever came up along the way. He was also very reassuring when we were driving up the mountain in heavy traffic! The seats were comfortable, the driver was skilled, and we were thoroughly satisfied with our experience!

Do not book a bus ticket with Sapa Express - we were left stranded after the bus broke down twice!! We initially booked a ticket to Sapa on an 18 seater bus. They informed us the night before that they would pick us up from our hotel (no problem). The driver arrived 30mins late and he escorted us to this tiny, cramped 9-seater minibus. The journey was super uncomfortable, the driver drove too fast over bumps and holes on the road so we were thrown around the back seat for 6 hours, no chance of sleep. The worst part was the bus broke down twice and we were left standing in the mountains in 30 degrees and barely any shade. The driver was laughing and joking on the phone with someone - really not taking the situation seriously. This bus was not roadworthy and the driver knew that before he left as apparently this “happens a lot with this bus”. If that’s the case, then take it off the road. We were eventually picked up by another bus after waiting an hour. This company does not care about passenger or road safety - avoid!!

Night bus with sleeper to go to Sapa: rather comfortable but better not to be too big. No toilets on the bus but 2 breaks during the journey at service stations to go to the toilets (paid) and buy something to eat or drink. The bus stops around 4:30 a.m. in Sapa then lets us sleep until 6 a.m.
