We're travelling with three kids (youngest 2.5) and I'm trying to finetune our itinerary and book tours for Hanoi & Halong Bay. However I have a dilemma... We have four nights/three days in Hanoi and reserved an overnight trip to Halong Bay, then a last night in Hanoi before we fly out. From my experience of how tourists on our junk got to Cat Ba Island, a smaller boat came up alongside our junk mid-bay and the departing tourists climbed down to the smaller boat while the tourists leaving Cat ba Island and coming back to Hanoi climbed up.
