Trang guided us through the old town finding amazing places to eat. Food was plentiful and delicious, sites, smells
and sounds are amazing. You really should do this tour. Book with confidence. Trang talked about food and the Vietnamese way of life with so much passion it really made the tour a personal experience for us. Many Thanks

I was recommended this tour by two friends who'd done it before, and it was as good as I'd been told!

It was an exceptionally good few hours that I'd say anyone making a trip to Hanoi should do, as it's a great introduction to Hanoi and Vietnamese food, and the old quarter of Hanoi.

Our guide, Annie, was friendly, informative and made sure everyone had a good evening - speaking very good English to tell us about everything.

There's more food than you can eat - seriously, don't eat before doing the tour -we stopped in 9 or 10 places around the old quarter and sampled a great variety of food, and got the chance to help make some pancakes as well along the way.

I got the chance to visit a few places and eat a few things I wouldn't have done, and we where given a list of everything we'd had and where we'd been to, so we can go back to places or order the dishes again.

Annie took us on a great walking tour of old Hanoi, visiting seven different local, small, hole in the wall shops. We just landed in Hanoi and arranged for their afternoon tour. We stopped at places we would never have entered or even seen, sometimes down little alleys or upstairs. At each stop we enjoyed a local specialty; sometimes Annie would see something especially interesting and order another round for our tour group of eight persons. We even returned to a couple of the stops the next day for seconds!

This is not a review this is a love letter. And the first one I've wrote on TA.
Thank you Money for such a special day.

My mother and I decided to take the Street Food private tour after reading an article featured in Forbes magazine.

Tour started at 11.30am and 3 hours later we finished it with full stomachs and full hearts. It's a privilege to see a new city with someone who knows it deeply and taste its flavours. We liked it so much that we decided to go for round two and signed up for the night tour - sightseeing & food.

1 day in Hanoi. 2 incredible tours.
Result: want to come back and want you (who's reading this) to go and fill your stomachs and hearts.

This was an informative & good value food tour. Be prepared to eat a lot! Our guide, Miss Moon, was fabulous. Private tour $25/VND500,000 or group at $20/VND400,000. There were 5 of us & it was worth a private tour. Gorgeous food! A must do option when in Hanoi

I wasn't expecting an Australian to know the hidden gems of the Hanoi street food world but Mark of http://streetfoodtourshanoi.blogspot.co.uk/ truly does. You get a friendly, sensitive and knowledgeable introduction to the food of the streets, and you eat some delicious food in what to westerners may seem rather dangerously rudimentary places. But they aren't, and their fare is delicious. Walking the streets of the Old Quarter with Mark was about more than food, it was about being shown local life, culture and history. An experience that stays with you long after the taste of the food has gone. Look him up if you are there.

Awesome experience to taste the real Vietmes food, the places you eat may not look fancy but please if you do this tour leave all judgement at home as the food is amazing!! Lotus, our guide showed us her favourite dishes and had great english speaking skills. The egg coffee at the end of the tour is the best coffee! Even if your not a coffee fan, you must try this!!! I cant wait to do it all over again when I return. Make sure you go to Kyms Tours. They are extremely helpful :)

I emailed to check beforehand whether they could cater for a vegetarian alongside meat eaters and was told yes so went ahead and booked and told my guide at the start of the tour (they were interested in taking my money up front but not in establishing who I was so there was no point emailing dietary requirements to them beforehand so they could prepare for them). Halfway through our first dish we were told it had been made using fish, and I clarified with our guide this included the so called vegetarian one! I explained this wasn't vegetarian-no part of a creature once living should be used to make it. For the rest of the tour we either had to remind our guide who kept forgetting, or someone else had to forego their meat option to join me in the vegetarian. Completely unprofessional. I had previously been on a fantastic, well-catered for food tour in Hoi An so this certainly isn't the kind of experience you have to miss out on in Vietnam but don't go with this company who are interested in making money not passionate about great food.

This is a must do while in Hanoi! While walking to each destination our tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative about the food as we ate the night away. In between stops she also explained much of the culture and city history to us. She was also able to answer any questions we had, and explained to me what to expect as I travel to Ho Chi Minh as it is quite different from Hanoi. I took a private tour with 2 other friends and would recommend this. Great way to spend 3-4 hours and become familiar with the local dishes. Thank you to our guide Emily for a great night! Sticky Rice!!!!!!!

Normally cautions travelers when it comes to food and drink this food tour really opened our eyes to what we have been missing. Mia our guide instantly put us at our ease promising not to make us eat anything too weird and wonderful. In fact Mia was keen to ensure that any dietary needs were accommodated.

During the three hour tour we experienced a variety of delicious local foods in local establishments where we would not have usually ventured and certainly off the tourist trail! We also got to experience chaotic hustle and bustle of the old quarter at night.

Would recommend for anyone wanting to try something a little more adventurous than the usual tourist fare but pace yourself as portion sizes are such that after the third stop we were already full with four stops to go.
