Very talented musicians wearing beautiful traditional costumes. It was such a memorable experience. After the 1 hr performance we got to try the different instruments with help from the musicians themselves. Well worth the money we spent. All of the musicians were fantastic! Would highly recommend checking it out if you're in old quarter. The venue is unique too.

There are two separate and different performances. We enormously enjoyed the one which demonstrated 15 different traditional musical instruments, including flute, xylophones, strings, monochord and percussion. This was very lively music, played by professional musicians with great verve, skill and passion. This was with two dancers with traditional elegant grace and hand movements. There were also two examples of Ca... More

Noticed old temple near my hotel with advert for concert, learned later that this group is very well known for their artistry and dedication to preserving the music of old Hanoi. The show included explanations of the instruments and the classical form of the music as well as performances by charming dancers. Not "touristy". Very enjoyable way to spend an... More

We went early to buy tickets to make sure that we got a seat. The performance was held in a temple. After the performance, the musicians and singers explained the origins of the music to the audience. We even get to try the musical instruments after they ended the performance. Vietnamese should maintain this kind of music forever.

This was one of our favorite evenings in Hanoi. You leave the bustling city streets and enter a beautiful, quiet space that passionate and dedicated musicians then transform into a unique cultural and musical experience. Distinctive rhythms, tones, melodies, instruments, voices--all create and communicate the soul of a culture and that's what happens at this event. The musicians are not... More

This may have been my favorite thing that I did while in Hanoi. The musicians are all really talented and the music is unlike anything I've seen in person before.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Ca Tru Club. Traditional Vietnamese instruments, dances and songs came to live in the lovely setting. An art form that appeared 1000 years ago.
