Took a 30 minute taxi ride to get to the Kaengnam Tower. We were both looking forward to seeing the gallery, having seen similar places in Thailand. We got to the tower, went to the receptionist and was told the 3D Gallery has closed and is now longer there.

Good fun activity with kids when the weather in Hanoi(hot or very rainy weather) doesn't allow you to be comfortable outside.
The view of Hanoi from the 72nd floor of that tower is breathtaking .
A couple of room were empty with no explanation so it make you think that the museum needs to be a bit refreshed. To my point of view that museum is totally overpriced especially for Vietnam.

located at one of the most luxurious building in Hanoi on 72nd floor, this position encourages me to pay a visit. i have been to Hanoi gallery and many others but this one is very different. standing at very high place and looking the city, it is now a big 3D picture too. all other pictures with 3D technique are very beautiful and so real that i am looking at the real life not just in a gallery.

To really enjoy this place you need to take a little time. I love the idea of mixing real life and art and you can get some great effects. The entrance fee of about AUD11.00 covers the 3D & 5D areas and gives you access to an amazing view. The 5D movie isn't all that good but you can still spend a couple of hours here and I think it's worth every cent.

This is a great place for kids and I like that (unlike the new Lotte building) it is not just an observation platform with a steep price tag. 220K per adult 140K kids (on weekdays) is not cheap. The included 5d movie is a JOKE! There is nothing '5' D there, it is a 3D movie on a 360Ëš screen but no other FX. It is short and looks dated. The projectors got mis-aligned over time and the attended kept the emergency lights on, which was very disruptive.
The museum itself is a really cool idea to fill this otherwise empty space. Picture taking is highly encouraged and I was glad I brought a mini tripod and remote control. But there is a lot of wear on the exhibition, certain corners touched by thousands of greasy hands and never properly cleaned up. There were 2 projection installations that were not working (and did not look like anyone was trying to fix it)
It IS a fun destination, but do not expect too much. We got lucky it was not crowded at all, I can image that it can get very frustrating to get your perfect photo done with other visitors ignoring that you want them out of the frame.
