In 24 hours we enjoyed the beautifull views in Halong Bay, we visited an enormeous cave, climbed a little mountain, swimmed in the sea and canoed through a little rock...so we slept very well aboard.

Nopes, you can hardly feel the diesel smell. Stay away from the roof and engine area.
