I am a solo traveler from Europe and asked for help to organise my trip from Hanoi to the Quan Lan Island, away from the tourist hot spot Ha Long Bay. The consulting was highly professional, friendly and easy. Very low price. Thank you!

Our trip to Ngo Dong River to experience the 3 limestone caves in Tam Coc was interesting, and to end our adventure, we had lunch at a humble vietnamese family home, hosted by mr Khuyen & his shy, but friendly wife & daughter .. We were dropped off outside a pebbled road, and walked past a pond (w fishes) and veg garden .. our lunch for the picking, farm to table .. :)) .. It was a delicious vietnamese homecooked meal .. by mrs khuyen .. we were priviledged to be welcomed into their home .. food was simple, and enjoyable .. we tried to eat everythg, as she kept on dishing out dish after dish .. We were treated to a feast by our host, the Khuyen family .. 💛 .. we were overwhelmed by their hospitality & cld not thk them enuf, and were exchging pleasantries & expressing our appreciation tt we left without taking a pix w them .. mrs Khuyen also presented us w 2 (embroidered) handkerchiefs tt she sewed herself .. :)) ... it was a very good afternoon for us ..

Xin Chao from Journey Vietnam, Lovely to see your great review on Tripadvisor about our service! From the bottom of our heart, we would like to thank you for taking your precious time to let us know your feeling and experience after the trip. We are very proud to be the choice of yours when thinking of a day trip in Ninh Binh. And it was our luck that you enjoyed the tour that much. Your guide, Khuyen really did a great job. Your compliment will be sent to her as the gift for her effort and it will also be the motivation for all members in our company to improve and complete ourselves. We are grateful to your sharing about our bike quality, equipment of boat trip and taste of the meal. We believe that your real feel will also be valuable to those who are worried about Ninh Binh tour suppliers. Once again, we would like to thank you and wish you all the best on your future journey. We hope to welcome you back to Vietnam and be the partner on your trips in near future. Best regards, Journey Vietnam

Our trip started out with us being picked up from the Hanoi Opera House in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. If you're staying in the Old Quarter then the company will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. We however stayed at the JW Marriott and had to take a taxi to the Opera House which took about 30 minutes one way because of traffic. The 8 passenger vans were very nice and clean with AC, free water bottles, WiFi, and comfy chairs. Took us about 2 hours to reach the bay from Hanoi including a rest stop. Once at the bay we immediately boarded our boat and took off for Ha Long Bay. The boat was nice and the staff was friendly and shortly into the trip we had lunch. Lunch consisted of a family style dining experience of chicken, seafood, rice and vegetables and overall was a very nice lunch. After lunch we stopped at the location where you can either ride the small boats or kayak through a small portion of the bay. We chose the ride in the boat but in retrospect should have chosen the kayaks so that we could control where we went along the route. This portion only lasted for about 45 minutes and was honestly too short to really enjoy the area. After the boats and kayaks we began our journey back to the port. On the way back the company provided a tea break with snacks and a small cooking class on how to make spring rolls. Roughly halfway back we stopped at a small floating fishing village and got to experience a little bit of their way of life. Once back at the port, we boarded the same vans that we were picked up in and returned to the old quarter in Hanoi. Overall the trip was a great experience and our guide, Dat, was very friendly and knowledgeable on the area. Our only complaint was that we wished for more time on the small boats/kayaks and there was no swimming during the trip even though it was mentioned in the itinerary.
