50 min duration was long. Nice air con. Orchestra was very talented. The performances are in Vietnamese making understanding a little difficult. Interesting cultural experience in Hanoi. Recommend buying tickets ahead of intended show time.

The place has an old-world charm to it. I really liked the live band, with traditional musical instruments, the musicians dressed for the occasion and put up a great show. The entire group was spell-bound by the performance. The show in itself talks about the...More

Definitely a crazy must see, but perhaps more of a must see when you have a seat near the exit and may be able to sneak out when it all gets a bit mad :-) enjoyable and different! My favourite song / performance was the...More

At a quick 50 minutes, the Water Puppet Theater show was a fun introduction to this distinctly Vietnamese form of entertainment. Accompanied by Vietnamese instruments, the Water Puppet show showcased classic Vietnamese folklore in an engaging and entertaining way. Mad props to the puppeteers, what...More

An old style cinema setup, the whole show sounded quite humorous though we didn't understand their language. Be early for a little read up on the show, Vnd100,000 ticket +Vnd20,000 for cameras. Don't know if it costs more for the front row?

The water puppet show, is a dynamic and creative presentation. It is an attraction, that should not be missed. In addition to the puppets, the music and singing, that accompanies the show is wonderful. I have never seen anything like it in the world. I...More

I do not like puppet theater from the time I was a child, so we did not plan to visit this theater. We got there by a mistake: we had 4 hours before our train and were walking in the old quarter. We saw a...More

I was hesitant on going as I was worried it would be a bit cheesy. It was actually a really unique thing to do. The music was live and the puppets were really cool to watch

The show was funny to my Vietnamese friend who spoke the language. Unfortunately as a native English speaker, this was lost on me. Was a nice evening and the puppeters are skilled.

If you're staying a few days try and go to the book office as they have a seating chart for each performance. You might get lucky and get a front row. So in advance get your agent to check and book. Good luck and enjoy
