I cycled up here and there is a lot to see, the lake itself has activities, swan boats etc. It is quite crowed on weekends but it's great to see all the local people use the area. Great also for a walk, I recommend it.

Good experience to take a leisurely walk around the lake, first thing in the morning is ideal, you will find the locals exercising and contemplating the day ahead, simple thing to do but halos orientate you in central hanoi

Unfortunately it's the only place in Vietnam that we would not return, The lake looked beautiful but as we got closer it was very smelly caused by all of the rotting fish floating along the edge of the dirty lake...

Beautifully landscaped with flowers, trees, and greenry. A very pleasant walk around the lake and a refreshing break from the hustle & bustle of the city streets. Lots of benchs to sit and rest.

You can just lazying around walking at the sidewalk of the lake, on the corner near the temple some young man and girl will offering you to paint or drawing your face, they have different style to draw. You can watch the reflection of the light on the edge of the lake or just sitting there and have a chat... More

The night life around this lake at night is colossal. Great place to have that evening stroll and get ice cream.

The pretty centre of the capital. So much happens here... including water puppetry. Lush, green, picturesque and action packed. Lovely walking around or looking at from a rooftop bar.

This destination was part of our day's tour - our guide told us it was a lovely area around the lakes where young couples came to be 'romantic'. Maybe just us but we didn't find anything remotely romantic about the lake where dead fish and garbage floated along the edge. You could hire Swan paddle boats, but the idea of... More
