We went looking for this as there was a geocache there. They do take you to interesting areas and this was no exception. It is not easy to find and we walked there through some interesting local streets full of small cafes and market stall...More

As a veteran of the Vietnam War, I found this a fitting memorial site for US Airmen to visit. A reminder of the high cost of war on both sides.

I often visit war memorials and visited many memorials in many countries. The B 52 wreckage is just that wreckage but together with the other aspects I find the lake a moving memorial to the air war over what was at that time North Vietnam....More

I hired a tour guide on a scooter and this is the first place I was taken to. It is way off the main tourist sites that I could tell. You can't see much of the plane sticking out of the water, but you still...More

As others have written this is quite hard to find without GPS guidance, or a local guide. It is located in a residential area, down a fairly narrow road off the main road but easy to see once you find it. Because we were there...More

Followed the directions on google maps to find the lake, unless you have a guide take you there it's the only way you'll find it. Had a beer at the nearby B52 cafe, which also has some interesting photos on the walls.

We had already heard about this place. We decided to walk to it around the West Lake which was long. It's not an easy place to find but worth the wait. Situated in a normal district in a temple lake are the remnants of a...More

Glad we had a private city tour guide to find this small lake in the middle of a residential area. We went through side streets and alleys. The submerged B52 looked rather small in the lake.

This is a strange sight to say the least. A pretty nondescript green watered lake with nothing remarkable about it...except as huge B52 fuselage sticking up out of it! It's preserved as it landed, can't remember the year...1972 or something? Bits of the engine and...More
