The museum is smaller than expected and can be visited in under an hour. The only interesting displays are the aircraft and tanks outside. If you intend visiting the excellent War Remnants museum in HCM City, a visit to this museum could be skipped.

The main highlight for me were bodies of the tanks and planes and other misc war paraphernalia, it was really interesting! I was there for around 2hours and learnt a lot - its always crowded as its a pretty touristy spot but its well worth...More

I expected to see more detailed information about the Vietnam War. It represented what a war museum has, but I wanted to see and gain more information about the past. There was a memorable statue outside made of destroyed war planes. That represented the ugliness...More

The end of the war is still quite close so these war museums surely raise some sad feelings in some people. There are lot of details and authentic photos on display, including the photo of the first American POW. Questionable honor. Outside some bigger memorabilia,...More

The museum provides a brief overview of the war through old equipment and poorly written informative signs. The real winner here is outside where there are planes, tanks and missiles on display, some of which you can climb on!

A moving and sad morning spent at the Vietnam Military History Museum. The photos and factual accounts of the Vietnam War were harrowing but helped understand what occurred during the period of Vietnamese history. See history from a different perspective and realize that war is...More

The Vietnam military history museum gives one an overall view of Vietnamese history particularly from the militaristic angle. There are a series of pictures, maps and artefacts depicting the various military campaigns over the ages.
