i went on 3 trips in the last three years, 1st was to Sapa in 5 days in Mar 2011, 2nd was from Hanoi to Ha Giang in 7 days in Dec 2011 and 3rd from Hanoi to Danang in 9 days in Mar 2012. I must say the trip to the north was the most spectacular and the scenery was awesome. Besides the guide had very good knowledge of the roads which were impossible to find on your Google maps. The food during the homestay was great too. For those who wants something different for you vacation in Vietnam this is the best~ you can see and smell the countryside that no other commercial operators can offer, and the bikes allow you to go deep into villages and trails that's impassable to 4 wheelers. I rode both the Minsk and the XL125. The only thing that needs improvement is some of the older bikes needs to be replaced, other than that everything is great. i will be coming back for the Royal Enfield next year!

My first motorcycle tour and I chose an off-road/backroad tour in Vietnam with Mototoursasia. It could not have been more exciting, unbelievably unforgettable, and exhilarating for me. I was a little concerned being dropped off at the office as it wasn't quite what I expected, but any concerns quickly disappeared the next day as we pulled out on our bikes.
Our guide Quyen was masterful in leading us through the hectic Hanoj traffic and then into the country side. What was truly special was that Mototoursasia is constantly searching for new trails, and no two tours are exactly the same. We were taken to villages where some of the kids have never seen foreigners before. We saw sites that few outsiders will ever see.
Quyen, always had the riders abilities in mind when picking trails; not that we were never challenged, but never beyond our abilities. He also was extremely social so he was able to interact with the locals at a high level which enhanced our trip.
There are not enough positive adjectives to describe my trip with Mototoursasia. Book your trip, you won't be disappointed.

Three Australians and an Irishman walked into a bar. Along with the Vietnamese guide and mechanic. It sounds like the start of a joke but was actually the end of most of the days on our tour.
And what a tour it was! From Hanoi to HCM on 500cc Royal Enfield bikes. 2400km in 15 days. Through the most amazing scenery on some of the best and worst roads I have ever ridden on. I won't list all of the towns and cities we visited because you can check out the tour on the Mototours Asia website, but suffice to say I feel like I have experienced Vietnam on a level that would not be possible any other way.
Our guide, Tuan was both professional and fun. As was the mechanic, Hung who also accompanied us. Tuan's English was particularly good and his grasp of the Australian vernacular was astounding.
I would highly recommend this tour. You will get to places that you just won't get to any other way. Make sure you take proper wet weather gear though. I didn't and regretted it on the first really wet day.
If you want an adventure, and you want to really see Vietnam up close, this is the tour for you.

I did two motorcycle trips in Vietnam, all organized by Mototours Asia; they are simply the best choice you can find in Vietnam! Excellent tour guides with well plan routes and activities allow you to enjoy the journey all the way!
First trip was in Oct 2011 and 2nd trip in Mar 2014. Well covered around north east & north west Vietnam, truly amazing places and people to visit; rode along pavement road, rocky road, muddy road, windy mountain road, all are great mixtures!! And most importantly Mototours Asia put safety as rule of thumb, tour guides observe how well you ride and find you the most suitable route without sacrificing any fun and joy.
Apart from Vietnam is a truly amazing country to discover; tour guides from Mototours Asia do make the difference!!! Along the trip they guide you not only riding motorcycle, but also your total experience with cultural, advantage, interaction with local people and things, truly worth to come and experience. I will come back again for sure !!! Good luck guys and hope to meet up again soon !!! Cheers !!!

Sorry to give this review lately, I think it was confusing to me to find you guys on Tripadvisor. Anyway, thank you again for the motorbike trip.
We (4 people) took 4 motorcycles Baja 250cc for Ho Chi Minh trails tour. Our first imagination that the riding should include many off-roads. But now Vietnam make a good highway for transportation stream from Hanoi to HCMC. After few days on the trip we all got impressive with the nature still, especially the day on western Ho Chi Minh trail in Phong Nha national park. Vietnam really has a great nature and friendly people. Then our guide (Hoa) took us to some Vietnam museums and a war tunnel. That was a shock to know how Vietnamese went survived after the war and how hard the war was in here. We stopped in Hue and had a day off there. A very charming old city, you can visit Imperial city and some King tombs. Last day we took a beautiful ride on Ha Van pass to Hoian. That distance on the pass is prominent!
I can tell this country is worth to visit and probably the best way to do is with motorbike. And I would like to recommend this company for their great motorcycles and tour organization.

I have already done three tours, all have included some of the awesome Northern mountain regions, and I have everything now booked for a fourth one in October.
Mototours have always provided a great experience, in both large and small groups. They know the places to see and the routes are chosen to suit the group.
I have found their service excellent and their flexibility always ensures a great trip.
Many of the places I have been, and people I have met are only possible to visit this way.

I recently returned from the incredible experience of the seven-night Tet fiesta motorcycle tour with Hanoi-based mototour operator Mototours Asia. I went with a small group, including my Dad, who had been on the same tour with Mototours Asia previously. I had heard his stories of adventure from before and went into the trip with high expectations. However, I never imagined that I would experience such an amazing and unforgettable adventure! Our guide, Tuan, couldn't have been more ideal for the trip, with his extensive network of local contacts in all areas traveled, superb language skill, and accommodating attitude. As a result, our tour was seamlessly adapted to changing weather conditions and rider abilities to afford the most optimal experience. We were provided almost-new Royal Enfield motorcycles for the trip; I rode a 500, which is a big bike by Vietnamese standards, but very well suited to the type of riding we did. Six out of seven nights were spent at home-stays, mostly with ethnic minority groups, where the opportunity to be immersed in the local customs and festivities surrounding the Tet holiday was truly unique and unforgettable. I would unhesitatingly recommend Voyage Vietnam to anyone considering travel of this nature, and hope that I can return soon to ride out on another adventure with Tuan and Company.

Dear Jed
Thank you very much for your sweet comment about our Tet Fiesta Tour 2013. It was a special chance for us also to ride with you in Vietnam during the Tet cellebration. Our friends in Meo Vac, the Red Dao ethnic family and in Luc Yen and the man in Vu Linh village are still wanting to say hello to you. They would love to have another chance sitting around chatting and "chuc suc koe" to you again.
Thank you very much and enjoy safety riding. We look forward to seeing you again soon

This is an exceptionally good tour company. They are so good in fact that I have been returning every year for the last five years to have them arrange my motorcycle tours throughout Vietnam.
I find that the people are very easy to deal with and that they are very thorough in their orgainsation. I particularly enjoy their all-inclusive pricing. I pay them a set fee up front and everything (except my drinks) are provided from there. I am sure that other options are available, but that works for me.
I have traveled extensively over the years with Motortours Asia. I have been to the mountains and to the sea. I have been in the north and in the south and I have never had a bad experience.
I enthusiastically recommend this company to you.

Having booked and taken the northwest adventure tour we had a great and lasting experiences both on the road with the "traffic" and off road with the lovely people of Vietnam. Not to be out done was out guide for the trip; Tuyen who was absolutely invaluable with his knowledge of the countryside and places to see and also for picking out some great places to eat and refresh with a cold beer. Cant say enough about Tuyen and his hospitallity truely excellent. Would reccomend anyone thinking of taking on the traffic and the sights they should book with Motortours Asia for a great trip. - thanks for the fond memories.

Our tour with Mototours Asia started in November 2013. As it was our first motorbike tour in a foreign country (We are from Australia) we had many questions that needed to be answered before deciding to go to Vietnam. All of our queries were answered swiftly by the Mototours company and satisfied our group. Some of our riders were not greatly experienced so some practice rides and advice was given to them before our tour started......it was a great help.
We went on a 10 day northwest tour,up into some remote mountain areas around Sapa and back to Hanoi. Wow ! The scenery, food and more importantly the Vietnamese people were just fantastic ! Our guide,Tan, was excellent. He is a qualified motorbike mechanic,so any issues with the bikes (In 10 days we had 2.One puncture, one loose wire) was fixed in minutes.Tan was just so organised that any problems that happened, he sorted out.We had some very wet nights,so Tan got the mountain road reports from his contacts and any safety concerns with road conditions were avoided. His concerns for our safety was his top priority ! Very reassuring.Any questions we had Tan answered with good humor. We used that humor and had great fun.By half way through the tour Tan was no longer our guide...He was our friend !!!
I have read some of the other reviews and the one thing everyone has in common is that we are all coming back for more tours!!! Our group consisted of four friends and when we return there will be many more of us. We are hoping to return in November 2015 and go on a 10 day North east tour. Our friend Tan tells us the scenery there is his favourite...We need to see that !
So if you are looking for a fair bit of adventure and something different in a holiday,Mototours Asia is the place to go.Summing it all up.........We will be back !

Hello,
I've heard that mototour is also available in Saigon. I can't reach your website actually, and I was wondering if you were organizing tours to the Mekong delta.
If so, can I have more information about it ?
Thank you.

Yes our motorbike tours are also available in Saigon, but only for group's booking and mostly to ride backward to Hanoi. We do not offer motorbike tour to Mekong delta . We are specialized in Northern packages or Hanoi-Saigon ride. Our website is on right column of screen, under the address map. Thank you!

Hi Colleen L
For overland multi countries tour it's a little bit difficult for organizing with the following reasons :
1. It must be a loop tour, that means the trip must start /end to the country.
2. It must be a full guided tour organized by an international tour operator licensed company to get the overland crossing border permit.
3. The cost : it depends on number of people in the group. For a group from 5-6 riders it may cost you from 250 USD/day/person for all inclusive tour.
Cheers
