You pay top price expecting a private service, then you get treated like cattle and put into a bigger bus with a crazy driver

I would like to answer your comment on Tripadvisor ! I would like to inform you that I did not receive any request from your travel agent to book a private services as you said , just booked Limousine Bus form Sapa to Ha Noi. On 18th Oct from Sapa to Ha Noi , the Limousine Business VIP Bus 18 seat as the photo I sent to your travel agent that you was on , when my driver came to pick you up at your hotel, driver arrange the seats for you as my plan for other small group but you did not follow him, you tried to seat any placs on the seat was reseved by other group, driver just told you seat on the right places, You are unhappy when my driver tell you that ? I called to all the travel agents they had booked my services on 18th Oct from Sapa to Ha Noi to check and they said driver is OK ! not crazy as you said . On behalf of Pumpkin Limousine I would like to say so sorry about that,

Prior to my trip, i had read many negative reviews about this Train service so, it's an understatement to say i was really nervous. To my surprise, my cabin shared with 3 other strangers was pretty pleasant - the cabin was pretty clean and we saw no roaches. However, the cleanliness of the sheets is questionable as mine had a smell (travel with a sleeping bag liner) The AC was directly above our heads on the top bunk so, being frozen the entire night was very unpleasant. The public toilet was smelly but, if you're an Asian living in Asia like myself, it isn't anything too terrible, lol. The train left and arrived on good time. Hot drinks are available first thing in the morning, if you are ready to pay (20k per cup). Overall, the entire experience was much, much better than anticipated. I was lucky.

We booked 2 VIP cabins. I imagined worse after reading the reviews but surprisingly our cabins were clean, beds and blankets comfy and socket working. Can't expect much from the toilet - i can tell it wasn't properly cleaned but wasn't super scary. Just use it quickly then return to your cabin. Sleep wise, the train engines were really loud and the ride was bumpy. I used air plugs but was only able to sleep on and off. One complain was the air-conditioning. It was really stuffy in the beginning, even after the train started. We had to use our handheld fan to cool down. The cabin cool down in the middle of the trip though but towards the end of the trip it turned stuffy again. Despite that, it was quite a nice experience.

Dirty, terrible experience. Bedding dirty and stained, VIP tickets were a complete joke! In your cabin you get one beer, one coke....not able to exchange it for anything else. So hopefully you both don't want a beer! If you want different you pay. We got woken up 30-40 min before Hanoi. He knocked on the cabin 3 or 4 ocasions. We finally opened the door and offered coffee or beer. We said coffee, we were shocked to be charged 50D for it! We thought it was being offered to the VIP cabin. Bathrooms were pretty much unusable right from the start, dirty, wet and smelly. Haven't been cleaned in some time! Pick another train! They are all the same price, other cars & companies looked fantastic! DO NOT BOOK THIS TRAIN

We booked a 2 day tour to Sa Pa. It all started out well, pickup from hotel on time etc. The driver was good for Vietnamese standards, but for some reason the drivers swopped out at the first stop. This guy was crazy, swerving into oncoming traffic, overtaking when it was absolutely impossible to see whats ahead. He never sat still. If not fiddling in his bag or picking his nose, he was changing the radio stations. At the second stop we were informed that our bus broke down and we had to get onto a bigger bus. Unfortunately the same crazy driver took the steering wheel in this bus. Arriving in Sa Pa, they had no idea where we should be dropped off. We had to give them directions. Keep in mind that they don’t understand a word of English. We had such a bad experience that we cancelled the rest of the tour with them and rather did our own thing. We even arranged different transport back to Hanoi
