This was one of the first places we discovered in Hanoi that we loved. We wondered up the stairs and after being greeted, we decided to have lunch. This was a wonderful fresh vegetarian meal, our first meal here as well. We decided to stay and stretch in the lovely studio since there was not a class for a few hours. On our last night, we planned better and had one of the best yoga vinyasa yoga classes I've experienced.

This is an absolute gem of a place. First and foremost it is like a sanctuary from the hectic streets of Hanoi. I love Hanoi and the craziness but treasured my time in the cafe and yoga studio here. The food is beautiful: pumpkin smoothies, fresh salads with homemade dressings and gorgeous mint pesto, green smoothies, falafel, seed cookies, fresh baked breads and pita- wow! A veggie paradise after the streets of meat... And the cooking and preparation takes place in the open kitchen, so the smells are wonderful as you peruse the library and have the complimentary tea. You feel welcome to relax and enjoy here; the people, teachers and cafe staff are friendly, caring and helpful. I am heading back here when I go back to Hanoi. The yoga was perfect- varied classes and teachers. So I lived here between adventures around Hanoi and was made to feel like it was a home from home.

Great oasis in the middle of the old city. Lots of classes, friendly people, great cafe with fresh tasty food. You can usually find a special price for classes.

Dear Nellroo, Thank you for sharing your experiences at Zenith Yoga! We always welcome travelers as well as members living in Hanoi and are always happy to have people drop by when passing through! Glad to hear that you enjoyed the food at Z Cafe. It is 100% natural and organic and provides a great healthy option after a relaxing yoga class! Please remember that everyone is welcome to the cafe at all times - you don't have to be attending an exercise class so please feel free to drop by at any time! Thanks again, Zenith Yoga

Menu says that all is vegan except dishes marked with an asterisk, however we received a pizza covered in goat’s cheese despite the menu not stating this. When we complained, the staff simply picked off the cheese (leaving half still on the pizza) and shouted at us saying we should have warned them we were vegan (even though the menu says nothing of the sort). They refused to add the vegan ricotta that was part of the item’s description and instead just chopped some unseasoned tofu onto the pizza in front of us.
Our two dishes also arrived over half an hour apart, despite many other tables being served in between.
When we tried to approach the staff member to ask for help he ignored us and ran away across the restaurant.
Overall: food was average and overpriced, definitely NOT vegan, and staff incredibly rude.
Don’t waste your time!

Dear Customers, We are very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with our service, and we will make sure to take all necessary actions to correct what happened to you so that will not happen again. It was our mistake for the vegan remark in the menu, and we are changing it soon. But we guarantee that this is very random that our staff is so careless, and that is unacceptable and shall be corrected to avoid it to happen again in the future. You have the right to get refund for our unsatisfactory service as we did stated it, we would be grateful if you have any chance to come back for your refund, and hopefully you could give us another chance to see our true nature of service, that is to offer purely home-made healthy meals for our lovely vegans as well as non-vegan customers. We wish you a safe journey ahead. Namaste Huong, Manager

Hanoi has very poor air quality, who knew that the yoga 'professionals' are also damaging to your health.
l found the studio when l accompanied my veggie friend to the cafe. eager to practice, l asked to use the studio with the cafe staff. they told me that l had 45 minutes before the next class. l entered the studio while 2 people were being guided in shavasana. l went to another part of the room and began my practice.

While l was practicing, the previous class ended and another instructor came in. l heard the 2 instructors discuss who l was and why l was there, as well as judge how good l was at yoga.

Having set my intended time to 45 minutes, l brought my practice to a close and entered shavasana. This is when the l heard someone comment 'is she sleeping' and the second 'teacher' decided to bellow 'excuse me' 10 times until l answered her. l was forcefully pulled out of shavasana by this self entitled charlatan.

l spoke to her while l was mid-asana to defend myself and proceeded to ignore her further questioning while l ended my session. l told her she should know better than to know what she did. she said she just wanted to know if l wanted to join her class. the only thing anyone will learn from her is that greed entitles one to damage others' health, then one can offer to fix it for them. what a great way to make a living.

in short, evil is abrewing here. this facility picture is also giving me the creeps as all the poses are orchestrated for show. yoga is for personal health and not a contest or a show. got a problem with this concept and you are just another consumer.

Dear Customer, Thank you for your comment but might we say that everything you stated isn't entirely true. And sorry that our teacher interrupted your session even though you weren’t given permission to use our property for your own practice without registering or noticing our staff and teacher. Therefore, the two instructors were just discussing about weather you were allowed in the studio or not and what you were doing. Plus if we were being greedy, we would have charged you for the time you spent in our studio using our facility. While we were just concerned about your practice with us, it was unfortunately turned into all bad emotions from the misunderstandings. We try our best to bring a professional and safe place for Yoga practitioners as we have many of them coming in everyday, and we also expect them to respect our studio’s rules for sake of the customers. If they feel it that way as you described, there would be more complains for us here I suspect. We wish you had taken a class with our teachers in order to give a more precise judgement about the quality of our studio, not just judging from the outside as posters and the emotional judgements. We thank you for giving us this chance to clarify what happened, and wish you many better experiences with your journey ahead. Kind Regards Huong, Manager

I don't feel the class I attended was worth the money I paid, at 200,000 VD which for me is around £7.

Being in a city, surrounding noise of traffic is relatively unavoidable and not something I expect completely. Though I do think that by closing the studio doors and playing some peaceful music the atmosphere would be greatly improved.

As it was, the doors were open and the atmosphere was far from peaceful. The class was supposed to be vinyasa but there was no kind of flow at all. The class felt very disjointed and not well explained. I have practiced yoga for a few years as well as having a teaching qualification and I was very disappointed by the quality of the class for the price that I paid. I did not really take anything away from the class.

There is a lot of potential as the space itself is nicely tucked away and as my class was small students could be granted more attention.

Classes are affordable and suitable for all levels - there's a great 10:00am beginner classes on Mon / Weds / Fri which is perfect for backpackers with sore shoulders (complete beginners will be fine but there is plenty for more advanced yogis to do too). The teachers are all helpful and friendly.

Get a snack in the cafe afterwards - in my opinion this is the best vegetarian food in Hanoi. All areas are clean and well-maintained and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. This is a perfect oasis from the madness that is Hanoi.

We didn't do Yoga but tried the veggie plate for two which offers a quite creative blend of various tastes 😊 the place itself is very relaxing and quiet with classical music playing in the background. Recommended!

Dropped in on my last day in Hanoi. Drop in was 200,000 dong ($9?) and renting a mat was free. Mat seemed clean and fairly new.

The Saturday 10:30am "intermediate" class was exactly what I would expect in an intermediate/advanced class in the USA -- no explanations of the poses (she demonstrated all of them at least once however) but lots of instructions and coaching on alignment. Our teacher spoke perfect English and coached us through a moderately challenging and interesting flow. Toward the end we worked balances (side crow, headstands, forearm stands) either at the wall or the teacher offered to spot us. I got pretty sweaty and really enjoyed savasana. If I lived here, I would come regularly. Thank you Thuong!!

We were here last week during our short stay in Hanoi. The location is not the easiest the find, and the map on the website isn't updated. That said, I emailed them and was given clear instructions how to get to the studio.

The host and cafe is awesome. We had an avocado spring roll and some fruit mix which was very refreshing, different and healthy. Thumbs up for the cafe!

I have mixed feelings regarding the yoga class though. The studio is nice and acceptable. However I found the instructor a little hands-off with the class and wasn't interested in interacting with students. Yoga mats were a little worn, and i wasn't too sure where I could rent/borrow a towel. Unfortunately being one who sweats alot, I was slipping and sliding on my worn mat throughout the class.
